Your Dream Team

Hey all, I'm new to the forum, but wanted to see what everyone's ideal team is.

Levels aren't important to me, but I am interested in the abilities you choose, and variety in type (or specialization in type). And maybe why you pick a certain pokemon/type over another.

My List:
Ampharos (beast)
Thunder
Focus Punch
Signal Beam
Charge Beam (to save PP of Thunder or Focus Punch if a small hit is needed)

Gyarados (red)
Surf
Blizzard
Hyper Beam
Dragon Dance

Dragonair (no flying weaknesses of Dragonite)
Dragon Rush

Hyper Beam
Surf

Crobat (Favorite pkmn EVER)

Those four are my favorite to build a team around, and I usually add a Fire/Ground type (Camerupt is beast) and I'll occasionally get an Ice type (Walrein or Lapras) or grab a Grass type (Venusaur, Victreebel or Breloom)

Short but sweet:
Eevee: Reflect, Trump card, Attract, Baton Pass
Vaporeon: Waterfall, Aurora Beam, Rain Dance, Baton Pass
Flareon: Fire Fang, Flamethrower, Agility, Baton Pass
Jolteon: Thunder Fang, Thunderbolt, Agility Baton Pass.

You can say it's an eveeloution, eveloution, baton pass team. XD; hehe complicated a lil'..
Basic moves, not skill and stat perfect just basic, types and moves good enough to take out some pesky teams that can dominate.

Gyarados (HM slave)

I can't believe you would make the god of pokemon (in my opinion that is) an HM slave, i can understand teaching him surf, but only because it's a damn powerful attack, and actually, waterfall would be better for Gyarados in the 4th generation because of the physical and special elements of specific moves.

But again, my opinion. obviously the point of this thread was to hear others, not bash them.

Honestly my dream team has nothing to do with types or strength.
It's my six favorite pokemon.
Also, some might not be fully evolved since as we've all seen in the anime, it doesn't need to be fully evolved to win every battle.

My favorite legendary was thrown in for good measure ;D

Btw, I used Red Gyarados on Heart Gold as an HM Slave. He can learn so many HM moves I would be a fool not to use him. Surf, Waterfall, Whirlpool, Strength was his moveset I believe.

And they'll all e in the top percentage.

I orginally planned on getting Mind Reader, but I couldn't fit it. This used to be Empoleon as my Water type, but it kept getting OHKOed by Cynthia's Garchomp, and I like Poliwrath better anyway.

Believe it or not, this was actually my main pokemon to use against Lucian. A Psychic type taking on Psychic types... interesting. Anyway, Psybeam is actually really strong, it still has like 120 power (with stab. Don't get me wrong, I know Psychic will be more powerful).

This is the Second Beastliest Fire type I've ever used. Sure, I could replace Flamethrower with Fire Blast, but Flamethrower has More PP, Higher Accuracy, AND is still very powerful.

Very Fast, very powerful in Special Attack, though Espeon actually has Higer of those stats, which surprised me. Still Though, I use it quite Often. It can't do much in the way of covering weaknesses though, besides Psychic types.

Had some troubles raising this one, since it was traded from SS. Those special moves make up for the Attack drop from superpower. Plus, the only other physical move, Fly, can be substituted by either Magmortar or Espeon (which have the same type advantages as Fly: Espeon takes out fighting, Magmortar takes out Grass)
