Your Extra Teammates

    So, once you unlock the ability to recruit more teammates in the PMD games, do you then find a specific Pokemon you want on your team and then use it as an extra teammate (apart from the missions where it can only be you and your partner)?

    If so, which Pokemon do you recruit and train?
    Any random Pokemon, or do you find a certain Pokemon that you really like in a dungeon/use a wondermail creator to recruit that Pokemon as a reward?


    I once decided I was going to train up all of my favourites and then use them with me and my partner in dungeons, so I recruited them, but then I couldn't be bothered.
    I think on my EoT game I recruited Buizel and Igglybuff to be my extra teammates because: Buizel is an awesome Pokemon and its strengths and weakness complement me and my partner's (Charmander & Pikachu).
    Igglybuff is cute in itself, but it means I can eventually have a Wigglytuff on my team, and Wigglytuff is awesome. I wanted Guildmaster Wiggly on my team, but woe is me, it's impossible, so a regular Wigglytuff will make up for my loss. Wigglytuff is just an awesome Pokemon, full stop. ^_^

    I was Cyndaquil and Totodile, so when I accidentally recruited a Bayleef i was like "OMG we're the three Johto starters!! We MUST be a team!" And thus we are. :) Meganium is great, now any time we get poisoned or confused or anything at all it just uses Aromatherapy and it's sorted. :p

    My other little project was the three legendary birds. It's a really fun team to bring especially with my Sky Gem (All flying type team members have double speed in clear weather). Plus the fact that they all learn moves that hit the whole room at some point... Monster houses won't be a problem. :p

    Aside from that I have been finding and beating up my favourites until one of them joined me, but I haven't really had the motivation to solidly train them yet. x,x

    But I'm also using all legends I have now.

    Anyway, I normally don't have any other members in mind, especially since every time someone is recruited, they're horribly underlevel. I usually let them join, but I hardly ever use them after that, unless it's a Pokemon I really like, like Dragonair or any starters. I'm mainly talking about Blue since I'm not far in Darkness yet.
     
    I just recruited Surskit, and I'm all fuzzy and warm inside due to the fact that I can now have the fantastic Masquerain with me anytime! Well, after I unlock the evo-part, but -.- Oh, whenever I go inside a weather-inducing dungeon, I always bring a Psyduck. Makes it a lot easier, I'd tell you! ^^
     
    I ditch my base team (Piplup and Torchic) for my Porygon Team whenever I get the chance. In fact, the Porygon-Z I use as the "leader" of the team is almost twice as strong as my "main" character, Piplup. That, and when backed up by Porygon2 (which serves as the replacment for Torchic) through Agility (linked with Discharge for safe measure), is able to quickly annihilate monster houses, bosses, and Out-Laws without taking any damage. Too bad I couldn't get Porygon earlier. :(
     
    I sometimes pick up my nice Legends :
    -Dialga (really good , and RoT once saved the crap out of me in Miracle Sea (that rhymes...))
    -Palkia (same as Dialga Spacial Rend is one GREAT move (and it's got a crtycally ratio hit :D:D) which also saves me )

    In the rest , nah , just my Lv. 69 Blaziken and Torterra ! (on EoT )
     
    hmmmmmm u guys say watever u want but palkia is the best explorar as it can be(if u have all of its iq skills that is)and with darkrai and cresilia the team is unbeatable ^^. . .
     
    Currently my other two team members are a Pachirisu and a Raichu. The Raichu is great, but the Pachirisu could use a boost in its stats.
     
    ah well im trying to get my ice rock for glaceon haha but i like using mainly the pokemon i used to use on wifi. ah except for mamo >.> he OHKO my team with earthquake.. bleh but castform is beast with powder snow and weather ball xD
     
    In my old Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky game, I had Cranidos, Salamence, Scizor and Porygon-Z as my extra teammates, switching them around on occasion. In my new EoS, it's Cranidos, Garchomp and Metagross.
