The improved graphics, the improved pokedex, the improved pokemon pics (in R/B, Koffing was upside-down x_x) and the islands.

2 things: the vs. seeker, and how you only have to walk up to signs to read them. as wierd as it sounds, i hated taking the fourth of a second to press A at a sign, and i think its great you can just bump into them to read them now.
