I thought it'd be nice for us to share the art of our favourite trading cards! What do you like about them? Are you someone who collects your favourite designs? Any stories about how you got them?

Even more fun if you've designed cards yourself in the past and are willing to showcase them! :)

My favorite card in terms of artwork is probably Mitsuhiro Arita's Vending Series Eevee. It looks like a scene from a visual novel. I previously considered Kagamaru Himeno's Jungle Flareon my second aesthetic favorite, but I think it's been outdone in recent years by Megumi Higuchi's Vivid Voltage Dewott, and Jiro Sasumo's Brilliant Stars Vaporeon (I've yet to get either of these). There's also something really charming about Ken Sugimori's Misty's Tears (international).

And I love making my own cards! I haven't done much lately since I forgot how to art, but here are some of my faves from over the years:
