Awhile back it was discovered you can use a certain program and Dns settings to send .PKM files to games from a false server, in a similar manner to how events work. The goal is that when you link up to the GTS, the server sends .PKM file to your game cart as if you had just received it in a trade.
Now, while this method will only allow you to send pokémon that the games consider "legit", many players find this method to be abhorrent, saying that its no better than using a cheat code. Others find it to be a godsend, as you can set up a .PKM file of an event pokémon (letsa say, for example, TRU Arceus) which can then be distributed to people who could not reach the events or missed them for other reasons (though any pokemon can be set up on these servers).
What is your opinion on this discovery, yay or nay, and why?
