Well, I've just started a new Emerald playthrough, and I'll be uploading videos of them as well on youtube, but I thought I'd post my planned team. I have a Mudkip, and it'll be staying a Mudkip the entire time. Next is a Swellow, which I'll catch as a Taillow before Rustboro. Next is a Skitty, and it'll stay a Skitty. Then a Roselia, Wobbuffet, and a Beautifly, which I've already caught a Wurmple for and had it evolve to Silcoon. :) So far I'm just before Petalburg City first time, with a level 11 Mudkip and a level 10 Silcoon.

On my emerald i traded a level 5 larvitar to my emerald from firered and the great thing is he is a dragon dancer...YEAH SWEET. Its very tough to get the right one with the right nature, anyways heres my team right now. enjoy

Yes I hacked the Charmander, Totodile and Larvitar early in the game (at level 5, Larvitar was 20ish when i hacked it). I did it to see what it was like with them in Emerald.

As for the GBA version, I don't mind any starter and I would keep Flygon and Altaria on my team =). I also had a Salamence, a Vigoroth and a Walrein to back me up.

I was visiting Mt. Pyre to just see more Pokemon to add to my PokeDex, but I saw the Vulpix and I just had to catch it. There was just something that compelled for me to do it, lol. Anyways, I pretty much killed off Leaders Tate & Liza's Xatu, since my Altaria and Sceptile couldn't kill it after it Calm Minded... <3 Vulpix now. Deciding if I should evolve it tonight.
