Lvl 100 Mewtwo

Lvl 100 Deoxys

Very Powerful team

I don't have a set team in Leaf Green--rather I catch every possible Pokemon in the game and raise them all equally. (Yeah, it takes time--as a result I have almost 200 hours of game play and only 5 badges. And currently most of my Pokemon are level 40.) But here are some of my favorites:

Name: Drakai
Species: Dragonair
Gender: Male
Nature: Rash
Level: 40
Attacks: Flamethrower, Surf, Twister, Agility
Other: Drakai is one of those special Pokemon I have a complete move strategy for. It'll also know Hyper Beam and Outrage (w/Persim)--I don't care how lame people think Hyper Beam is.

Name: Psycon
Species: Alakazam
Gender: Male
Nature: Bashful
Level: 40
Attacks: Psychic, Thief, Teleport, Recover
Other: Psycon has the highest Special Attack of any of my Pokemon--in fact right now he can KO a level 36 Raticate with one Psychic attack, as observed from his training in Pokemon Mansion.

Name: Aurine
Species: Vaporeon
Gender: Female
Nature: Naughty
Level: 40
Attacks: Surf, Aurora Beam, Quick Attack, Bite
Other: No, I did not restart the game multiple times to get a female Eevee--it just happened on the first try.

Name: Tesumuro
Species: Pidgeot
Gender: Female
Nature: Modest
Level: 40
Attacks: Fly, Quick Attack, Sand-Attack, Wing Attack
Other: Tesumuro was the very first Pokemon I captured--this is why she's special. I show much sympathy for her, partially because she has the most unfavourable nature...

Name: Mitogan
Species: Hitmonchan
Gender: Male (duh)
Nature: Lax
Level: 40
Attacks: Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunderpunch, Sky Uppercut
Other: Yeah, I know that Mitogan has low Special Attack... But I'm keeping those elemental punches for breeding purposes--imagine breeding him with a female Alakazam or Hypno!

Name: Wondergoo
Species: Ditto
Gender: Unknown
Nature: Lax
Level: 40
Attacks: Transform
Other: I don't know... I just like Ditto!

My team in Sapphire is kind of special. I got Mudkip as my starter and caught five random Pokemon, then I traded them for eggs from Ruby. The other five Pokemon in my team hatched out of those eggs, so I got an early start.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Name: Failou
Species: Marshtomp
Gender: Male
Nature: Quiet
Level: 35
Ability: Torrent
Attacks: Surf, Rock Smash, Mud Shot, Take Down
Name: Gracie
Species: Meditite
Gender: Female
Nature: Relaxed
Level: 35
Ability: Pure Power
Attacks: Hi Jump Kick, Calm Mind, Confusion, Mind Reader
Name: Omar
Species: Roselia
Gender: Male
Nature: Modest
Level: 36
Ability: Natural Cure
Attacks: Magical Leaf, Leech Seed, Poison Sting, Grasswhistle
Name: Sora
Species: Shelgon
Gender: Female
Nature: Modest
Level: 36
Ability: Rock Head
Attacks: Ember, Headbutt, Cut, Protect
Name: Deatheater
Species: Shuppet
Gender: Male
Nature: Calm
Level: 35
Ability: Insomnia
Attacks: Shadow Ball, Thief, Curse, Will-O-Wisp
Name: Apple
Species: Raichu
Gender: Male
Nature: Adamant
Level: 37
Ability: Static
Attacks: Thunderbolt, Iron Tail, Sweet Kiss, Charm
As you can see, half of my Pokemon are within one or two levels of evolving...
I started a new game in Pokémon Firered about a month ago, but I have been busy training my Emerald team for the Frontier.
Anyways... I'm using a rather different team this time. I'm using a Red theme team, meaning my team will consist of the Pokémon Red from the Pokémon Adventures manga uses. But since I only have the three first badges and haven't reached Lavender Town yet, my team is pretty much Rubbish >D
Venusaur Level 36
Nature: Adamant
- Tackle
- Sleep Powder
- Leech Seed
- Razor Leaf
This moveset is about half way done, I just need Sludge Bomb and Synthesis and the set will be done.
Gyarados Level 36
Adamant
- Secret Power
- Bite
- Water Pulse
- Dragon Rage
Needless to say all the moves will be changed.
Pikachu Level 39
- Brick Break
- Quick Attack
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
This moveset is scaring me ;-;
I hope I don't need to mention that all these movesets will obviously be changed (like I already wouldn't have... =P).
I am just stealing the set up from above, thank you Ninetales. That's cool that your team are all from eggs, adn they're all quite quiet natures aswell. Awwh.
Since you are new and don't know what you are doing, I will give you a few tips.
First of all, NEVER teach your main team any HM moves that aren't called Surf. What you want is an HM Slave for that purpose. Zigzagoon is a great starting slave since it can learn Cut and Rock Smash right off the bat, and Surf later on. Nincada can learn Flash. Tropius and Wailmer though are the HM kings. Each can learn 5 moves each, so you can cover your bases with just them.
Next, NEVER teach your Poke more than one attacking move of the same type. For example, your Blaziken has Fire Punch, Overheat, AND Blaze Kick. That is redundant and prevents your Poke from being more versatile. Give your Poke moves that can try to cover its own weaknesses (i.e. Ice Beam on Swampert) or at least so it can attack different types. Fire Pokes are over-rated and weak to begin with, limiting its movepool makes it even more useless.
Next, NEVER teach your Pokes two-turn moves like Fly, Hyper Beam, Dig, or Solarbeam (without Sunny Day). Don't be fooled into thinking that these type of moves are good because they are not. Hyper Beam seems strong enough, having 150 AP, but divide that into two turns and it is only 75 AP. Not exactly the powerhouse move you think it is. Plus, unlike in the RBY days, even if your HP attack makes a Poke faint, you still lose a turn to "recharge" and are now a sitting duck. Two-turn moves are just not worth it and don't let anyone tell you differently.
Lastly, make your team more diverse. Make sure that your team doesn't have too many overlapping weaknesses. Also make sure that you have some defensive on as many Pokes as possible. Having a team full of Pokes with only offensive moves is not good strategy.
Okay, now to your team. Fixes in bold:
I don't know what I'm really doing, but I gotta start somewhere.
So here's my Ruby Team:
----------------------------------------------------
:t257:
Name: Chip
Species: Blaziken
Gender: Male
Nature: Calm
Level: 45
Ability: Blaze
Attacks:
- Brick Break/Sky Uppercut
- Earthquake
- Flamethrower/Bulk Up
- Rock Slide
To be honest, I would go with Swampert instead. It is simply a much better Poke. If you insist on Blaziken, go with more physical moves to make it more versatile. I suggest BB over SU since BB is 100% accurate and can break through Light Screen/Reflect. FT has STAB, but BU can make your Pokemon more powerful.
----------------------------------------------------
:t286:
Name: Shrooms
Species: Breloom
Gender: Male
Nature: Relaxed
Level: 44
Ability: Effect Spore
Attacks:
- Focus Punch
- Giga Drain/Substitute/Swords Dance
- Leech Seed
- Spore
Again, no Solarbeam without Sunny Day. Shroomish is a pain to raise, since you REALLY want to wait to evolve it until it learns Spore at Lv54. Trust me, you REALLY want Spore on your Breloom. Why? Because it turns into a MUCH better Poke since you can use the Spore/Focus Punch combo, referred to as SporePunching. The second slot really depends on what you want Breloom to do. GD is a good attacking moves, especially for Swampert. Substitute protects your from statuses, but you see that more in link battles than in-game. Swords Dance is nice to boost up your Atk on the first turn after Spore. Breloom is a powerful in-game Poke, if utilized correctly.
----------------------------------------------------
:t073:
Name: Gem
Species: Tentacruel
Gender: Female
Nature: Bashful
Level: 45
Ability: Liquid Ooze
Attacks:
- Confuse Ray/Mirror Coat
- Ice Beam/Swords Dance
- Sludge Bomb
- Surf/Hydro Pump
While Tentacruel is higly under-rated, there are just better bulky water Pokes out there to use instead. Again, I suggest Swampert (don't discount how great the immunity to Electric-type attacks is), but it is your choice. If you stick with Tentacruel, keep in mind that its base SAtk is an average 80 AP. It is probably one of only a few Pokes where Hydro Pump would be better than Surf. With its speed, CR can be useful, but so can MC. I would stick with IB, but SD can make SB hit much harder, since its high SDef allows it to take a special hit or two.
----------------------------------------------------
:t297:
Name: Queen
Species: Hariyama
Gender: Female
Nature: Adamant
Level: 43
Ability: Thick Fat
Attacks:
- Brick Break
- Earthquake
- Shadow Ball/Toxic
- Knock Off/Whirlwind/Rest
Having THREE Fighting-types on the same team makes you very vulnerable to Flying and, to lesser extent, Psychic attacks. Another reasaon to either get rid of Blaziken or this one. SB lets it handle Ghosts, but PLEASE don't think you can take down Psychic-types. Most of them are faster than Hariyama and you will be OHKO'ed befor you can do anything. Toxic is a great status move. The last slot is up for grabs. KO works better for link battles and Rest should only be used with Chesto/Lum berry since it doesn't have the defensive stats to survive being asleep for two turns.
----------------------------------------------------
:t085:
Name: Beakums
Species: Dodrio
Gender: Female
Nature: Jolly
Level: 45
Ability: Run Away
Attacks:
- Drill Peck
- Quick Attack
- Return
- Steel Wing/Facade/Tri Attack
Dodrio is simply an awesome Poke and the best non-uber flyer. Your moveset needs a lot of work though. Return and DP are both great STAB moves. QA is used to finish off a Poke. The last slot, like Hariyama is up in the air. If you could get perfect IVs, I would suggest HP [Ground], but that is near impossible without cheating. No one likes a cheater. Make sure your Dodrio is holding a Choice Band though to make its attacks even stronger.
----------------------------------------------------
:t333:
Name: Cloud
Species: Swablu
Gender: Male
Nature: Gentle
Level: 29
Ability: Natrual Cure
Attacks: Fly, Fury Attack, Mist, Sing
Outclassed by Salamence and Flygon in every way. Just say no Swablu/Altaria. Either that or go with a 5-Poke team and an HM slave (Tropius/Wailmer, depending on where you are).
----------------------------------------------------
I would highly suggest you make a few teammate changes to make your team more diverse and effective. You are really lacking a Pokemon with strong special attacks. Gardevoir, Alakazam, or Starmie would be good choices. Good luck.
Here's my team:
Lv. 100 Aerodactyl
Lv. 100 Rhydon
Lv. 100 Aggron
Lv. 100 Magmar
Lv. 100 Arcanine
Lv. 100 Blaziken
As you can see my two favorite types are Ground/Rock and Fire. But I love fire even more! By the way, you might think this team is weak because if there was a strong water type I would be toast, but I am no idiot. My brother who uses all Lv. 100 water pokemon is actually toast to me. This is because I trained all of these pokemon so that they have INCREDIBLE speed. Knowing that my pokemon will always attack first, I taught all that could learn one a very strong electric move (such as thunderpunch/ thunderbolt/ thunder) and other moves that are super effective against other types they are weak against.
Just hope that your brother never finds out about Swampert's immunity to Electric attacks because it can rape your entire team.
Well, I made a couple of changes to my future Emerald team... shanecdavis, u wouldn't mind rating(sorta), would u?
Also, could someone explain to me how they got those pics for their pokemon? It looks as though they are from Pokemon Trozei, and I like the sprites on that game...
[PokeCommunity.com] Your Pokémon Team
Future Shiny Sceptile@Shell Bell: Leaf Blade, Thunderpunch, Dragon Claw, Detect
Nickname: Neon(help with that)Timid nature, hopefully. This one will be from Prof. Birch, that is why I didn't put Leech Seed down. 252 SAtk, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Ninetales@Leftovers:Flamethrower, Faint Attack, Substitute, Will-o-Wisp
Nickname: 9tales or Spirit Fox, Calm nature. 176 SAtk, 252 SDef, 80 Speed
Walrein@Leftovers: Surf, Ice Beam, Rest, Hidden Power[Electric/Psychic/Fire]
Nickname: Fluffy(need help with nickname), Modest nature. 252 HP, 252 SAtk, 6 Def
Aggron@Shell Bell: Brick Break, Iron Tail, Double Edge, Earthquake
Nickname: Hepheastus(need hlep with nickname), Impish nature. 252 Atk, 252 Def, 6 HP
Crobat@Scope Lens: Aerial Ace, Shadow Ball, Steel Wing, Shadow Ball
Nickname: Batman, Jolly nature. 252 Speed, 224 Atk, 32 HP
I know I should make it hold Choice Band, and that it should be Adamant nature, I just wanna see how I its Speed can go... and I don't like using Choice Band in-game.
Alakazam@Brightpowder: Psychic, Calm Mind, Fire Punch, Fire Punch, Thunderpunch
Nickname: Spoons Jr., Modest nature... 252 SAtk, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Well, I have no idea where people get their sprites from. I have seen a couple places, but nothing comes to mind. Fixes in bold:
Nickname: Neon(help with that)Timid nature, hopefully. This one will be from Prof. Birch, that is why I didn't put Leech Seed down. 252 SAtk, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Wow, you would rather have a Sceptile be shiny than have a great move like Leech Seed? I hope you will reconsider that thinking. A Sceptile with Leech Seed is much better than one that is a different color. Sceptile should hold Leftovers and then teach it Substitute. You pay for Substitute, and Leftovers/Leech Seed will recover that 1/4 HP loss. I won't be fixing your EVs, but I can say that you don't need that much Speed. The 252/252/6 spread is mainly used for CBers.
Ninetales@Leftovers:Flamethrower, Faint Attack, Substitute, Will-o-Wisp
Nickname: 9tales or Spirit Fox, Calm nature. 176 SAtk, 252 SDef, 80 Speed
Not a big Fire-type fan, so I won't bother with Ninetales. Its moveset looks wrong though. Ninetales has good speed and special defense. Better served as a disabler. Confuse Ray, Hypnosis, or even Protect.
Walrein@Leftovers: Surf, Ice Beam, Rest, Earthquake/Toxic
Nickname: Fluffy(need help with nickname), Modest nature. 252 HP, 252 SAtk, 6 Def
Don't waste your time with Hidden Power since it is near impossible to to get the right IVs to get the right type at any decent power. I would say don't waste your time with Walrein since there are much better bulky waters, but it is your team. Go with Earthquake or Toxic.
Aggron@Shell Bell: Rock Slide, Iron Tail/Focus Punch, Double Edge, Earthquake
Nickname: Hepheastus(need hlep with nickname), Impish nature. 252 Atk, 252 Def, 6 HP
Aggron is 4x weak to both Fighting and Ground. Not good. Aggron is outclassed mightily by Metagross.
Crobat@Choice Band: Aerial Ace, Sludge Bomb, Return, Shadow Ball
Nickname: Batman, Jolly nature. 252 Speed, 224 Atk, 32 HP
I know I should make it hold Choice Band, and that it should be Adamant nature, I just wanna see how I its Speed can go... and I don't like using Choice Band in-game.
You cannot have two of the same move on a Poke, but I will assume that the first Shadow Ball is really Sludge Bomb since I doubt you would leave that STAB move off of Crobat. Speed is unnecessary since only Deoxys (E/FR/RS), Ninjask, Electrode, and Aerodactyl are faster than it, and you would switch out against them anyway. Crobat with CB is a happy bat. Remember that. Oh yeah, Return over Steel Wing please.
Alakazam@Lum Berry: Psychic, Calm Mind, Fire Punch, Fire Punch, Thunderpunch
Nickname: Spoons Jr., Modest nature... 252 SAtk, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Good moveset and Nature. Bad hold item. Go with Lum Berry. That works great with its Synchronize Ability. Your opponent tries to status you, Synchronize statuses them, and Lum cures your status.
Not too bad of a team, although in-game you can pretty much slap any 6 Poke combo together and still be successful. You chose to go UU with Walrein and Aggron, but again, you should be just fine.
They're under the smiles. A shortcut is just to type :t___:
Filling in the blanks wiht the pokémon's National number.
