I just beat the 5th gym, still can't decide on what 6 pokemon to use for my team lol, keep changing and that has been affecting my levels

I really like my team so far and if i need to make adjustments later it should be easy with all the fire types i have, but it's nice having a psychic, fighting and flying combined with em :)

Well I have now defeated all but one gym leader and I am on my way to face that person now before I head off to try to become the Pokemon Champion. My team has changed many times throughout the game, but I feel as if my current one will be my final team that goes with me on the remainder of my journey. This team is pretty strong and has been very successful for me. Here it is:

I have Y! I've already beaten the game (Somehow was addicting and beat it the day after I got it) and have my whole team. Sadly nothing with mega evos (;~;) but whatever.

Yeesh, going out of my comfort zone. Usually don't have more than one of one type on my team, NEVER use legends. Couldn't think of any flying type, and hey, it's a new generation! :)
 
I felt like there was almost too wide of a selection XD; this is what I ended up rolling with:

I got a Water, Grass, and Fire type on my team which I normally try to do. Dodrio for flying, Aurorus because why not, and Pikachu with Eviolite... don't hate me :O

I wouldn't evolve Pikachu until after I believe level 50, when he gets Thunder!

So far, my team consists of Talonflame, Blastoise, Chesnaught, Heracross, Dusknoir, and Blissey. Chesnaught and Dusknoir are the only ones that are at level one-hundred, and the others are somewhere between seventy to ninety. Talonflame is the special sweeper of the team, Heracross is the physical sweeper, Blastoise, Chesnaught, and Dusknoir are the defenders, and Blissey is there to act as a supporter (heal the team's status effects, restore their health, and so on). I'm planning on switching Heracross with either Scizor or Lucario, but I don't know if I should or not… I may also replace Talonflame with some sort of a dragon-type, such as Aurorus, Garchomp, or maybe even Dragonite. d:

My team's all right the way it currently is, as I've been able to win many battles with it online. But with a few minor modifications here and there, I'm sure that I can make it even better.
