OMG! Jordan, your name is actually on the girls list. I'm serious. It's number 43.
Hah, I thought Jordan had been completely wiped out from the female species...O_o Although, I remember my cousin's friend's name when I was at her birthday party years ago was named Jordan and she was a girl. I thought it was rather weird now that I think about it, lol. I've heard Jordana used for a girl's name, too, if someone wanted to make it sound more feminine. My name was ranked number 17 or 19 in the 80s...then it dropped down to 24 or 25 in the 90s!

I do think it's weird saying my own name, but only because it's so unusual and i don't pronounce it absolutely right, as it sounds really strange.
Talking about pronounciation, there's only ever been one person who's pronounced my name correctly; my German teacher and that's it. All my other teachers, my friends and even my parents call me 'Sher-ra-din', 'Sher-din' or 'Sher-dan' it used to get annoying but i'm used to it now and i don't dare correct my friends anymore because they start teasing me by going around the school corridors and repeating my name (pronounced correctly) in a posh accent rather loudly, in every possible sentence they can. The same goes for the spelling it's rare for me to come across someone who can spell my name right, straight off.

Why do teachers have such a problem pronouncing Alyssa? I mean it'z eazy! Uh-liss-a
Er, that'z how I pronounce it at least-_-
BTW, I don't think I've ever zeen the name Niko on a name lizt...
*checkz*
...nope, not in my 100 year old "what to name the baby book"...What? that'z the only name lizt I have>,<

Well... what year is your book from? If it's older than Alyssa's source that would explain the diffences...

Yeah, I think your right. My mom said that she bought the book to pick a name for me when I was born so it has to be in 1991 or older.

Is there "Evelina"? n_n; I've always pronounced Alyssa like "Ah-Liss-Sa" and that's how my teacher pronnounced it too.
I think there is Evelina, Miyu-chan! Well, obviously, it's your name, lol. But, my friend's name is Evelyn and her grandmother, also named Evelyn, would call her Evelina.
