I Chose Chimchar, Because I Like Fire Types =D

I chose Pochama first time round for it's cuteness. The other two didn't appeal as much to me.

I chose chimchar, because infernape is awesome.

I chose Piplup, which turned out to be a good choice as he got me all the way through the game, and I like Penguins :D

Decided to try something different and went with Chimchar, I had always gone with the Water starter for the last 3 generations except for Yellow version where you must have Pikachu.

Piplup. Because It was cute. Yes a bad reason to pick it but I have a soft spot for cute Pokemon.

 

[Denizen]

Chimchar, because Grass and Water is easy to come by, yet Fire is really rare, especially early on.

Also, the Fire Starter is one of the Only 3-stage pokemon in the entire pokedex, and I really like to have Pokemon that evolve twice as my fighters.

So chimchar.

EDIT: I also have an Empoleon. GOD, it's annoying. Earth types can kill it easily, and it's not defensive against Fire.

I don't really like Grass types because they don't gave many good solid attacks. I.e. Whilst you can get Flamethrower and Fire Blast for fire, Grass doesn't really have those types of moves.

I chose Piplup because my favourite type is water and i always pick the water starter except in the 2nd Gen, i picked cyndaquil.
