Yu-gi-oh! trading card game

I think that there's a very easy way to separate "just players" with "decent players." One question will tell you apart from those who knows about the game, or those who just plays for the heck of it.

What's card advantage? :D

Though yes some people go overboard with it, but it's suffice to say, impossible to win by totally ignoring the existance of CA either.

Using either kycoo the ghost destroyer or banisher of the light (I forgot which one) with last turn, now that's card advantage (i think) :(

I think you've just effectively proven which category you belong to.

And incidentally: no, that's not card advantage at all. *Sigh* Haven't you been paying attention at all? I'm pretty sure that he already explained the CA principle in that ridiculous debate on Avian and Lightning Blade. :\

Oh yes... the "beatstick" Avian. FYI, let's put it this way. Card Advantage is basically who has more cards available to attack with. More cards in your hand and on the field mean you have more chances to wipe out your opponent, or reveal trap cards, or wipe out various beatsticks, or whatnot. DD Turbo is all about card advantage, since you essentially get to draw two cards every turn, as long as the second one was a normal spell. Gadgets are card advantage, far as I know. Every good deck out there focuses on card advantage somehow.

Actually, I may have messed the definition up some. Keep in mind that I'm relatively new here. I left the metagame after chaos got banned, and I have yet to build a tournament worthy deck. (If I could just get my hands on a Cyber Dragon, I could go Gadgitech, or as Icha put it "Chimeradget", and combine my favorite strategies together, but nooo, they HAVE to be out of tins...)

Where Alter Where, which category DO i belong FYI: i may not be the tack to the tool shed but i do duel well, you people understimate those who don't understand (I understand).

Um... if that was your way of subtly challenging someone to a duel, Dogma, I'm in.

At least, that's what I would say, but I didn't think YVD worked and the startup card library was horrible, so I quit it moments after getting it, and I don't have instant messenger. So unless you want to duel over PM or something, I'll pass.

Um... Relinquished has a fun effect and all, and I'll admit that it's pretty easy to summon as rituals go, but it doesn't have enough on its own to make a deck out of, IMO. I mean, with relinquished, it's kind of situational, right?

What about a deck revolving around Reshef, the dark being!:)

Then you got yourself a weaker version of Demise OTK. Any rituals will and basically must rely on Advanced Ritual Technique, including Paladins of White Dragon now (ditching Luster Dragon is quite a good thing to do here). Demise is the top of the crops in Ritual at the moment, followed by Zorc and Shinato.

There's a tournament winning gadget deck in the recent SJC, so ACC you can always check that out. I love that deck. It uses Card Trader to turn extra gadgets into "OMG THE GADGET TURNED INTO SMASHING GROUND AGAIN"

dueling right here... may take awhile. Every time need to ask "I play this card, response?" and that's a post already o.o

I was thinking about PM dueling, but I realized that it would probably end up filling my inbox within a couple of turns. 0_o

The only way to really duel on a forum is to setup up a time, and do it in posting... you have to setup a time and constantly refresh the page just so things go quickly, as fast as possible. However, the 25 character limit will be icky...

"I special summon cyber dragon, response?"
"no..................."
"I summon red gadget, response?"
"no..................."
"I search for yellow gadget then. I set a trap, response?"
"no...................."
"I end my turn, response?"
"no. I draw a card, any card activate during standby phase?"
"no...................."

That's 9 posts for one turn, and that's a simple turn too.

Yeah you get the idea

:) Seeing people use my terms like that makes me happy for some reason...

And we DO have the Zane Truesdale packs floating around now...(common Cyber Dragon and normal rare Chimeratech FTW!!!!!!!)

I believe Icha gas YVD, and a few others too... but YVD just doesn't work for me, and it's rather tough to use i say XD; I think that Icha will probably look forward to dueling you as well.

Yes...I would look forward to creaming dueling him...but the problem is that I'm not only on a DHCP service (keeping me from knowing my IP address for sure), but have firewalls installed all over the place, so it would be insanely hard to get him into my network. And since he apparently won't share HIS IP...

Laugh Out Loud

...Didn't he......uh...nevermind.

ok then. when i give my IP can you go on this computor and take over and where can i find my IP

BTW: bring it on birdie

By the way, Icha, is there any way to fix the horrible card library of YVD?

Download more patches. My current YVD library has cards from CDIP, so it's pretty up-to-date (haven't checked for STON yet).

Yes. As for where it is, depends. What operating system are you running?

And "birdie"?? ...*sweatdrop 2*

Anyone wanna duel with me on Windows Live Messenger? :P

Certainly =x Consider your challenge accepted~

YVD has quite a few updates really. You can get patches to update the card library very easily, including the promos and other cards that are otherwise impossible to get (though people won't appreciate it if you do) such as the 1500 bucks Crush Card Virus...

Yes Crush Card Virus was that expensive on eBay, as the interview with the SJC winners all sold it for major profit up in the 4 digits.

Oh crap. I'm gonna get owned. >_<

/me adds Frostweaver.
Just so you know, I'm [email protected]

YVD...I can't believe I actually used that program for over a year. I move onto BYOND's version Duel Monsters Advanced. Translated japanese sets and anime only cards=fun.

Anywho, am I the only person who's sick of seeing all the Gadget, Cyber Dragon and Six Samurai decks being used? Their not oringal, and you can find a deck list for the six samurai from shonen jump. Am I the only person who doesn't follow the themed deck trends being seen?
