i was just wandering what the best yu-gi-oh card was if you know please tell me

It's hard to say which is the best but I think it'll have to be Pot of Greed in my opinion. Instant +1. If you want to find more powerful cards, go check the ban lists.

Oh my, I forget just how many of these threads we've had before...

There isn't any "best card" in the game. You'll always find one card that is better than another in a certain situation, so picking which is "best" comes down to pure opinion, which you do not need other people to form for you.

Oh, and by the way...

Indeed there's no best card. If you pull off a Jaden Yuki, I'm sure anything is usable.

Solemn Judgment destroys the Reaper before it can be summoned (therefore negating any protection effects) Bottomless Trap Hole kills it while it's on the field, Mask of Restrict prevents you from tributing to summon it in the first place, Lightsworn Hunter Ryko just LOLs and destroys it if it has been set, and if Honest happens to be in the opponent's hand, well, you're just pretty much screwed, aren't you?

Honestly, someone here needs to brush up on their children's card games.

My personal opinion on best card? Solemn Judgment. It is the most versatile card ever printed. But that's just me.

It may be an instant +1, but Graceful Charity can be an instant +4 with added field presence, Raigeki & HFD can be an instant +2-+4, Change of Heart is an instant +1 plus field presence (in the sense that you are taking a card from your opponent, giving him/her a -1 and you a +1 that nullifies the -1 from using it) as well as any Flip Effect a face-down monster may have, Cyber Jar has potential for serious momentum as well as a +4 up to a +9 (not counting wasted tributes), etc. etc. etc.

Even the banned cards alone cannot determine absolute best cards... just depends on how you use it. Give a new player a yata, and they won't have a clue what to do with it either.

PoG isn't as situational as all those you mentioned and it's the most splashable card for any deck; if it weren't banned that is.

Raigeki & Harpie's Feather Duster are at least just as splashable and have a considerably greater probability of saving the game for you.

As I said before, though, the decision of "best card" is all up to opinion.

Mask of Restrict would not prevent the Dark Ruler from being Special Summoned, as the monsters are being 'sent to the graveyard', not tributed.

Monster tokens cannot be used to Special Summon the Dark Ruler, as they are not sent to the graveyard.

As for the 'best card', Phantom of Chaos comes to mind, but I agree that it's all down to opinion.
