Yugioh VS. Pokemon!

pokemon is ok, yugioh was good until they screwed it up with synchros and whatnot. I don't play much now, just collect cards.

another synchro hater *sigh* im so tired of you talentless idiots hatin on synchros just cuz your not good enoguh to play them, or cuz their new, or cuz they have good effects (i dont hear you pissin and moanin bout those lightsworns, so stow it bout the synchros!)

The reason I can't stand the Yu-Gi-Oh! card game is because, the one time I decided I wanted to get back into playing it casually, I was told that half of my cards were banned and they refused to play a casual game against these cards.

I completely agree that Yu-Gi-Oh has become way too chaotic. When the game first came out, it was pretty nice. You would build a deck with your best monsters, or your favorites, and balance them out by ATK or DEF because most of the cards were normal monsters anyway... But now you need to build decks focusing on single archetypes, or even a single card; everything, save for the set-up cards involves getting a monster with over 9000 ATK; some cards even try to circumlocute that their effects are really "once you play this card, your opponent cannot win. Try to make it less painful please." It's a bit ridiculous though.

Though, merit goes to some of their card ideas and the pictures (but I think that's balanced out by the ones that have ****** ideas / pictures).

i love both the cards but i have to go with Yu-gi-oh i play it all the time. You dont expect what your oppenant is going to do which makes it more challangeing and fun at the same time.

ya the banlist totally pisses me off,& worse part is THEY KEEP REPRINTING THE FORBIDDEN CARDS! it just drives me nuts, why make it if we cant use it!? :disappoin

i totally agree, i miss the old way, if they introduced synchros back then, the game wouldve been perfect lol

The Pokemon TCG is pretty cool, but to be honest I like Yu-Gi-Oh better. I just enjoy it more than the Pokemon TCG, which I just don't think is as interesting as Yu-Gi-Oh. That's only one guy's opinion though.

thats not strategy, thats laziness

now strategy was the original user of hopeless dragon, now that deck was brilliant, til everyone started doin copycats >.<
