Music Zayn - Mind of Mine

One year to the day after his departure from One Direction, and after much talk, interviews, and hype, Zayn finally released his debut album, 'Mind of Mine', a couple days ago. It's definitely a departure from his 1D days, with a very smooth R&B sound and ever so slightly more sexual lyrics compared to One Direction.

What do you think of the album?

I'm really enjoying it. I feel it's a strong cohesive album with a really cool sound, though it definitely does draw a lot of inspiration from the likes of The Weeknd it seems. A lot of the songs have blended together for me but atm I'm loving 'It's You', 'Like I Would' and 'Fool for You'. 'Flower' is beautiful as well.

I don't think it lives up to the hype (and I do feel 'Pillowtalk' is the best song on the album) but it's a great and quite hypnotic album. :D

better debut than i can imagine for any of the soon-to-be reality tv judges aka one direction
i doubt harry's debut will be anything but rehashed 1975s garbage
