Zygarde Cell Bug?

Here's my story. On the second island at Route 8, I saved the game next to a rock overlooking Wimpod's spawn area while riding a Tauros. After saving it, I noticed a cell next to me, and took it. The next hour was spent chasing Wimpod.

Because I didn't save it before, I started the game up at the rock again. But as I left to the Festival Plaza, I quickly noticed that the cell was back on the ground, as it should be. Coming back from the plaza, I found that it was gone. So I've potentially lost a cell forever.

Anybody else get this experience too?

the cells are dependent on the time of day i think, you must've just happened to go in and out of the plaza as the time changed, it should appear again later :)

I found that out some time ago, so I kept checking back every few hours throughout the day. No dice.

the cells only appear at day or at night, not every few hours, so check then, if not, i'm not sure what to do tbh

That's my point. Day or night, i's just gone. I guess I'll have to destroy a spare Zygarde to make up the 1% loss... XD;;;;

It's not the end of the world if you do lose a cell.

I traded a 10% form on the GTS for a Moon Ball mon (love me some Moon Balls). Bred it, put a finished article on the GTS for Zygarde and got those cells back.
