Um, Miley, you completely ignored my post. I saw you on the pitch and went to talk to Jamie, and your post didn't mention that at all.



I really think there are too many healers in this. I'm happy to let go of my healing power, because whenever someone gets hurt it's like everyone is rushing to heal them before someone else can. The characters are so similar, and from what I can see everyone is competing with each other to be the most powerful mutant, which isn't really the most important thing here.

Well right now the Mutant's are at a exploded Stadium field, trying to befriend-- a girl called Raven on the bleacher's, lol.

Haha I know that! My character is far too suspicious and paranoid to befriend Raven willy-nilly, and so she went to talk to Jamie, who she remembers from the school. However, Miley must've missed my post because she didn't acknowledge it in hers, so I'm waiting for her to return so we can sort that out.

But even if we're all showing off our powers, we're not really trying to be the strongest mutant. We're just trying to show Raven that we can take care of ourselves right? I'm not sure because that's why I made it hail with Storm.

Raven is trying to explain to them how much danger she puts people into. Unintentionally. Everyone just keeps going, "Hey, we'll be fine" and "You can train and control it"... Despite the fact that she just accidentally disintegrated a large group of scarers. The fact that all of these different weather patterns and skin augmentations keep becoming noticeable, should add to the fact that she can't control herself at all.

I feel like there's some sort of miscommunication between characters.



Also, Raven IS the strongest mutant; if I spoiled the backstory it would make more sense.

However, the fact that she is so much more powerful than all of the others is a bad thing as much as it is a good one. 9/10 times she tries to attack it will backfire on her; most of her fighting is, well, fighting. She constantly tries to use her powers, hoping she might get better, and they usually just blow up in her face. Along with that, she's severe danger to those near her; which is why she's insistent on being alone.

First off, no need to get overly-defensive. They're just characters, right?


I mean, Raven is just a character I had thought up specifically for this RP. Do I get any self-satisfaction out of her being stronger than everyone? No, I do it because that is the type of character I made her out to be.

In my research, the 'double-edged sword' type characters are rarely, rarely used. Sure, she has strength, but that proves to be a curse more than a gift.
In fact, because she can't control any of her power (and even with constant training it would still backfire more often than not) it technically makes her WORSE. I'm not like most newbie RPers, who make every character based off of themselves, and then try to make their character super-powerful and undefeatable. I believe the term is "Mary Sue/Gary Stu", yes?

When I create characters, I do it to tell a story. To mix things up, and have someone involved in the story that sets him/herself apart from everyone else.

on top of that, I made a female character. Even though I'm a male. That's the first time I've made a female main character; being that I plan to write novels in the future, creating both genders is something I'll have to be able to do.

When you read Raven posts, does she make a very believable female character? I would like some feedback when I RP.

And I know it's a bad thing for her to be like that, but you shouldn't day she's the most powerful. It's just not nice, okay.

I'm not supposed to state facts, or talk about my character in general, because it's not nice?

I would say it's reasonable to call Raven the most powerful, if only in the consideration of the apparent maximum ability she displays while unable to control herself. "Most capable," however, is another matter entirely, since she can't control her powers. I think shinysweety's problem is that you're (Zerin) actually stating that Raven was designed to be the most powerful, it gives off a somewhat narcissistic air.

And, @Zerin, I think you're doing fairly well, at least in Raven's speech and actions depicting her mood swings. To give total accuracy on being a "girl", you'd have to be portraying a girly-girl or something of the like. I don't know if I can speak on this, though, since I'm playing a girl that acts like a guy whenever she's not alone.

I plan to make her sort of a wild woman, while at the same time retaining those girl-ish traits. Her unbelievable mood swings are another side-effect of her powers, so you know.

"Most capable"? Hm... I guess it's all in the context. For example, if she basically reached the highest point of her anger (which is practically impossible, mind you) she might leave a 5 mile diameter crater, that leaves a hole in the ground about 30 feet below the surface. Although, doing something like that would actually kill her if it backfired. On top of that, she still can't control any of it. Her flying, well... She does flying better than her other powers, but even then she constantly ends up crashing down. Her energy powers are second most controllable, however, that has 90% backfire chance, and rarely works the way she intends it to. As for her elemental emotions... No control whatsoever. If she joins the others, they'll pretty much be determining her element by interacting with her.


In all seriousness, I am very wary of having her join anyone. Because, realistically (as much as realism goes in this story), she could very well kill one of them by mistake. Ad I really wouldn't want something like that to happen. Plus, I'm pretty sure that would be pushing the limits of RPing by quite a lot. No, I don't plan to have anyone die from her.


So, moral of the story:

If you piss her off... DUCK AND COVER

I'm sorry but i'm at zerin's side with this :I zerin made his character like this, though there's one thing on my mind since yesterday,

Yesterday i also had this kind of talk with Zerin, he thought i said that Sapphire was just as powerful as Raven, i never said that, but yes, my character is a bit powerful :I and yes my character blew up a town, and no one can tell me i can't do that because my character would be the perfected character of someone else, because i was the first one who posted the SU in this RP ^^;;;; and no Zerin, this is not ment towards you :) well only a little, since you told me yesterday i made my character the perfected version of raven, i never did that okay? ^^;;; and Sapphire is not as powerful as raven okay? :3

But yes i'm at Zerin's side by this, because it's just how he made his character, it's how he choosed her to be, and miley approved it ^^

But Zerin next time...please don't say newbie RPers make their characters look like the RPer self, my character doesn't look like me for one bit ^^;;; okay?
