I think I figured it out. On my @ask message box, I used 0x1 instead of 0x5. I'll check it out tonight or tomorrow and see if that works.

So I decided to practice the givepokemon script. I wrote the script, debugged, compiled, and assigned it to a person in A-Map. When I booted up VBA and loaded my ROM, i talked to the person and the person disappeared as it said, "MAKENNA recieved a ????????! Too bad!" I took one step away and...

I like seeing it in GBA games/hacks because, well, that's just how I've always seen in gen III. I guess it's just a preference. I wouldn't like to see caps in modern games, but in Gen III (when I started playing Pokémon) it just seems so natural.

In most Pokémon hacks (unless they are decapitalized) use a lot of caps. Example: "MOM: Hello, MAKENNA. How has your day been? How is your POKéMON?"

Maybe you could make it so the player has to have at least one level 35 Pokémon to get into the harder island. That way if he trained enough, he could still get into either.

I like it when ROM hacks look official. Like they're from Nintendo. Have you ever seen Nintendo spelling it like "pokemons?" Or how about "POKEMON?" Nope. Sooooooo many hacks don't use the "é" or even add an "s" to the already grammatically incorrect "pokemon." In my opinion, it looks SO much...
