Considering I haven't heard anything from Kiklion or The Final Watchman since the start of this roleplay, including no replies from the private message I sent to everyone interested, I'm going to assume that they no longer want to take part in Cross my HEART. If they happen to get in contact soon with the majority of their character sheet finished then I'll probably be persuaded to add them back in though. It's more to make it easier to manage who is interested.

*Rushes people to finish their character sheets*

I PMed you about this earlier, but Watchman and I were working on our SUs together. School and other obligations got in our way and it's delayed us on a few projects we've been trying to do. We have most of our SUs done. All we have left is the bios which we should get done tonight after I get back home from the airport sometime this afternoon.

Name
Aaron Austin
Age
23, August 19th 54NW
Gender

Male
Title
Double-Bladed Dumbass

Appearance
Aaron is a short guy only standing at 5'7" (just a bit taller than his weapon). He doesn't have much to make-up for his unimpressive height. The only thing that may help him out is his fit, athletic physique, but who doesn't have that in a group like this?

Aaron has naturally golden skin, dark hair, and dark eyes. a medium-build that gives him the strength to wield his weapon with ease and enough power to give a punch that means something. However, it stops him from being as quick and nimble as he'd like to be (even with his essence) so he barks about that often. On his body, Aaron has scars for punishments taken as a kid and from times he's sparred with friends. As for Aaron's hair, it isn't neat at all. It's wild, very wild, and when you look at him you'll be wondering when his next hair cut is. It's never, if you ask him. Aaron doesn't have the patience or the will to sit still long enough to get a haircut or make himself look pretty. So Aaron often has chin-strap and goatee combo goin' on when you see him. It's not until someone sits him down and forces him that he'll make his hair a little more tame.

When it comes to clothes Aaron is only slightly more proficient. He knows better than to put on anything inside of his drawers and does attempt to make things match, but when it comes to picking out fabulous clothes he's not very good at it, it seems. None of his clothes particularly stand out from the crowd when compared to anyone else. His casual clothes, I mean. When it comes to his on-the-job work, Aaron wears the standard protective clothing which includes protective arm and knee pads. He also wears gloves to give him an easier grip on his weapon (as well as warm up his hands in particular cold weather). Aaron wears a red-bandanna with a picture of a golden bird around his neck. On his pants he always keeps a silver chain which ends in another golden bird. These trinkets, items to honor his past, set him apart from his teammates.

Biography
Aaron is one of many souls in the New World to be fortunate and unfortunate enough to live in the city stronghold called Malekat. Before the Dark Presence invaded the world, Malekat had been a city in the center of business and industry. As the world became a more and more dangerous place, it evolved into a stronghold, focused entirely on keeping its people safe and the bad out. Statistically, it's both the most peaceful and safest place you could live. Statistically. In reality, Malekat is a different story.

Malekat is only so safe and so peaceful because of its fully-trained and dedicated Noble Battalion. The members of the Battalion are a familiar presence in Malekat. They patrol the city day and night, keep watch over the city's Great Walls at all times, and maintains the public's satisfaction. Satisfaction in Malekat is easy to maintain, according to its top leaders. With the Noble Battalion's constant vigilance of the wall and its people, its curfews, its reasonable punishments, and strict laws against leaving the Walls without need, how could it have ever been hard? It was in this world that Aaron was born and its harshness was intensified by his enrollment in The Academy.

The Noble Academy was a school to train young children to become the strong members of the Battalion in the future. Like many kids, Aaron would be chosen to go. In the academy all types of weapons were taught and explored for the first few years of the child's enrollment. Later on they would specialize with a certain weapon or otherwise continue to hone their skill in a variety of offensive and defensive tools. Like the majority, Aaron chose to specialize in polearms. It was really his love for these kinds of weapons that kept him in the academy, at least as first.

Before Aaron was enrolled into The Academy, he was much like any other kid. Loud, energetic, and imaginative. His love for fun lasted through his infant years and after he took his first steps to becoming a guard for Malekat. Just a day with him in class and you'll know Aaron is a clown. Through rigorous training, studies, and exams, Aaron somehow found the time to pull a prank or tell a joke or get in trouble at all. Hearing Aaron's name called or seeing him limping away from a punishment wasn't uncommon at all. Aaron was probably getting in trouble five times a week and if you asked him he'd say it was no fault of his. The instructors didn't know a thing about fun and he wasn't going to stop having it because they were a little stuck up. Besides, while in the Academy, Aaron thought he was doing pretty well. Even with his goofiness Aaron, as I said before, decided to specialize in polearms. Not just because he was the best with them, but because he absolutely loved them. When he wasn't in a class, Aaron was training with his weapon. Not for any sort of goal, but only for the idea that the more he knew how to do with it, the more fun he could have. His constant practice and playing got him into a lot of trouble, but it also helped him soar above the kids in his class and soon enough he was training one-on-one with his teacher, a man he was and still is amazed by. Aaron went as far as to become his apprentice and still highly respects him.

Aside from his teachers and his own practice, Aaron got a lot of training from sparring with his friends, of which he had many. His antics made him well-liked within The Academy and he always had a group of friends around him. The only problem with being friends with Aaron was that when he got in trouble, they all got in trouble. Luckily for his friends, Aaron, whenever he could, would take the entirety of the punishment. Indeed, he was liked by all. Well, most. There was one person who he couldn't quite get along with and that was Vie. Aaron couldn't quite place why Vie (his name was Everette, but Aaron insisted on calling him Vie) didn't quite like him and for a long time he didn't care. Aaron was good, but not as good as Vie. With that kid in The Academy, he came up as number two, not number one. For him, that wasn't a big deal, he was just happy Vie was around in the first place since it gave him something to do. The more he excelled on his own, the easier it was to beat his friends in a sparring match. With Everette always a few steps above him, Aaron had someone he could hope to beat. For the first time Aaron had some semblance of a goal that took him to greater heights. Time after time Aaron and Everette would end up in a challenge against each other. As many close matches they've had, Aaron has yet to win one.

After graduating from The Academy, his relationship with Everette grew from a fun game to a good friendship. Instead of seeing Everette as a possible brawl, now Aaron viewed him as a great partner. Even though the two of them weren't the best of friends, Aaron finds himself now in the Heart Stealers because of Everette. He had never heard of the group until he was approached while patrolling the wall. The faction sounded fun enough, the adventure exciting. It wasn't until after he consulted his old teacher from The Academy that he agreed to leave with Everette and join the Heart Stealers.

Equipment/Weaponry
Aaron's weapon is a double-bladed polearm. The weapon itself is a little over five feet in total length and is worn on Aaron's back when not in use. For longer distance travel like in a vehicle (if they still have those), Aaron is able to take apart his weapon and put it in a case. Aaron's weapon is perfect for long-rage slicing and cutting, and at times, blocking. Even though his weapon can come apart, Aaron would only use his blades as small swords in the stickiest of situations.

Aaron, being very fond of his weapon and wanting to pack as light as possible, doesn't carry much other than his primary weapon. The only defenses he has, other than his clothing, are two small daggers he can use when his polearm is out of commission. Other than that, Aaron doesn't carry anything else but some water and snacks in a knapsack. He's notorious for being unprepared supplies-wise, but explains the problem away. Why does he need to bring a lot of gear when his teammates are already packing as it is?

The sheathe for each blade doesn't have a dragon, but a golden bird on it.

Abilities/Combat Style
Aaron's love for his weapon has allowed him to become an expert in its use and techniques. He is extremely skilled with his polearm and can use it both gracefully and aggressively, though he prefers to go for something in between.

Aaron's power of essence only improves his skill. It gives him the boost in agility, flexibility, and balance he needs to take his skill to untouched heights. This extra boost helps him while with his polearm, with only his daggers, and only his fists. It's imperative to remember that his power doesn't do anything for his strength, so for stronger, sturdier opponents, Aaron must rely on his wit and tactics. Whatever that is…

The more he trains his essence the easier it is for him to master other weapons. However without regular practice and training, he'll never be as masterful as he is with his polearm.

Name
Everette Berendt
Age
24, January 12, 55NW
Gender
Male
Title
The Genius Bladesman

Appearance
On a physical level, Everette is considered to be quite attractive when compared to many his age. Fair skinned and only slightly tall, Everette stands at a height of about six foot one and averages out to about one hundred and fifty three pounds. Possessing a slim, but defined build, he is often thought of as fairly athletic and to say the least, he isn't afraid to show it off. His face, oval-shaped in appearance, houses his pronounced cheekbones, wide jaw, and dark blue colored eyes. He has short, black hair which is often seen in a spiked manner towards the front.

Being from a richer family than most in this new era, Everette is often seen wearing more expensive clothing when not dressed for combat. This sort of makes his clothing style revolve anywhere from a basic shirt and jeans combo to that of a suit for formal events.

On the case of combat attire, Everette is definitely not one for uniform and is thus mostly seen wearing his usual attire along with a jacket with arm guards and bracers. He will tend to wear the same jacket without the guards when in public.

Biography

Malekat was a larger town compared to most in the New World and was often considered to be on the front lines against the onslaught of the Dark Presence and its monsters. Sure, inside the town's Great Walls things were peaceful, but only technically. In fact, most of the time, there was rarely a period of peace for the citizens. They were almost forced to teach every newcomer and child how to fight early on in order to keep a good defensive stratagem. This made Everette' life easy in only one way. He didn't need to figure out his future himself. After all, aren't decisions the hardest thing to make?

Due to this, Everette has grown up since a young age in a state of constant of conflict and training where he was taught by his parent's, high-ranking members of the Noble Battalion (Malekat's townguard), that it was either the Presence or them. Obviously, he knew the answer. His family seemed to hold respect for only those who could combat the Darkness and thus started the townguards training academy, known simply as the Noble Academy, where both young and old were pushed to their limits. There was no room for failure in the Academy, or even the town as well. Failure meant death or worse, corruption to the Presence. Once you were corrupted, you were an enemy of Malekat and there was no going back.

Lesson after lesson was forced onto the young Everette, whether it meant in class or out of it, and because he was the founders' child, only the best performance could be expected from him. Of course, that's what he became. Eventually, he was even labeled as a genius. Equally proficient in both combat and strategy, he was a force to be reckoned with. Boys were jealous, girls often swooned, and he made use of it. He flattered the girls and always attempted to show the boys up. He typically succeeded until one person came along.

Aaron was his name, a person who seemed to be almost as skilled as Everette with seemingly no dedication. He joked about everything and seemed to never want to put forth any of his effort. Yes, his skill was impressive, but that didn't stop Everette from disliking him.If you weren't going to be serious, why even be in the academy?

It always seemed to put the pair at sword's end with each other. They would constantly fight in order to prove what they wanted to. In Everette's case, it was that dedication got you through, or at least thats what everyone thought it to be. Ultimately, it was merely the fact that he wanted to be the superior one. He knew he was stronger, faster, and more skilled. He just had to prove it to everyone. It was...Almost obsessive, or that is until he realized how good it was to have Aaron there. He often seemed to make Everette less harsh and he gave him a challenge. He helped him. Of course, that doesn't mean Everette won't continue to prove his superiority.

After coming to this realization, he changed his view of Aaron to more of a rival and partner rather than a pest. For a few years, they trained until there was nothing left to do in Malekat. Well, except patrol the Walls. Everette could only take so much of the boredom and after hearing about the Heart Shards and the implantation process, he became interested to say the least. Not only would he be able to leave the god-forsaken fortress that was Malekat, but he could also find a way to become even stronger. It didn't take long for him to propose the idea to Aaron and in a short time, they left. Nothing would get in the way of him becoming stronger. At least, not that he knew of.

Equipment/Weaponry

Hemera & Nyx | Although proficient with many forms of weaponry, the main weapons at Everette's disposal is a set of twin tonfa, or elbow blades to be exact, which include black hilts and silver blades. The blades extend from just below his wrists and down towards the elbows while the hilt extends about six inches above his fists. The weapons' sheaths are stark black.

He tends to carry a small pistol on him for when he doesn't have his choice tools.

Abilities/Combat Style

Focusing on a relaxed grip for fluid motion, Everette and his tonfa are a force to be feared. The pair can be used in many ways, ranging from both mid- to close-range techniques which focus upon the position of the tonfas in his hands. With the blade down his elbow, he can quickly go from defensive to side attacks and back again. With the blade out, it could be used just as a knife would.

The main style used by Everette however is a mix of both and the fluid transitions that accompany them (often in the form of swinging the blade around). It allows him to transition from blocking an attack to being up in the enemy's face.

Using the power of the essence, Everette has been able to increase his own strength, speed, and agility to further complement the tonfas' effectiveness. He also commonly cloak the blades with electricity to increase the weapons' attack power.

Name
Ophelia Olette Young
Age
April 5th, 61NW; Sixteen years of age.
Gender
Female
Title
The Technosiren

Appearance
When one looks upon Ophelia, the last thing that comes to mind is "fighter." She appears frail in most aspects, and she prides herself as being an intellectual. As a young Caucasian woman who rarely ever sees the light of day, her skin has become as pale as snow. She stands at a short-ish height of five feet and four inches, and she weighs only ninety-six pounds. She's very thin and lacking of any visible muscle, but her genius and bright demeanor make up for what she lacks in physical strength. She wears her jet black hair in a short, messy ponytail that always looks like she just threw a band around some hair to simply get it out of her face without paying any attention to detail; which is exactly what she does. Her facial features are petite and gentle, and her stunning green eyes are framed by her small, black, box-like glasses. She never wears makeup nor does she ever pay much attention to her looks in general, much to her friend Ian's dismay. The one thing she always makes sure to have on, though, is a gentle, warm, reassuring smile; reflective of her introverted yet kind personality. Her limbs are long and spindly and she lacks much "female definition," such as large hips or breasts. That doesn't bother her much, considering she sometimes forgets that she's a woman, often forgetting the concept of gender as a whole. Her slender fingers are well adapted to working on machinery, and her hands have become rather rough over the years; the only physical sign of her true skills, other than the dirt and grime she gets covered in after working on a project.

Ophelia likes to keep her clothing simple: green tank top, faded blue denim jeans, and a heavy green hooded sweatshirt that's often tied around her waist. She wears black steel-toed boots, beaten and worn from heavy use over the years, and she wears a green and black watch on her right wrist. She can typically be seen carrying a red tool belt around her waist, and she usually wears heavy black gloves when tinkering with her machines. Around her neck lays a rose-shaped pendant held up by a golden chain; the pendant complementing Ian's serpent necklace, which completes the charm by having the serpent coil itself around the rose stem. On warmer days and times when she's relaxing, she opts to wear tattered denim shorts and green and black striped knee-high leggings rather than her heavy jeans. Occasionally her wardrobe gets switched up a bit when Ian tries to make her a bit more "fashionable," but that typically doesn't last very long.

Her battle gear consists largely of her normal attire, considering she . . . well, considering she doesn't get in very close most of the time. When she does have to get her hands dirty, she has some gadgets that help do the job for her, which will be explained once this sign-up is done being constructed.
Equipment/Weaponry
Build. Aim. Shoot.

Ophelia's weapons consist of whatever she can throw together in a moment's notice. Her four staples include an electrically charged quarterstaff; a pistol that shoots projectiles composed of various forms of energy; her watch which can, on top of many other things, summon an energy shield; and a mech suit for some intense close-quarters combat.

She also has a wrench that she always carries around, which she has been known to hit some people with. More often, though, she uses it to assemble a plethora of deadly weapons to fit her present situation.
Abilities/Combat Style
Ophelia may not be one for hand-to-hand combat, but she is fairly well trained in various forms of martial arts. She doesn't often have need for such skills, but she's intelligent enough to realize that she may require their use at some point. Since she never boasts of such talents, she can often take her enemies by surprise when they believe that they've cornered her. Rule one: don't corner her. As with many things in nature, she is at her deadliest when she's backed against a wall with nothing else to lose.

As for her "abilities," her genius level intellect and quick hands are her greatest assets. She's mildly against the use of essence, and greatly so when it comes to an organism utilizing essence, but she does sometimes use it to augment her more audacious projects. With her cunning intelligence, Ophelia can build deadly weapons rapidly and out of most anything, even if the materials are literal trash. (Note: throwing her out with the trash probably won't work for her enemies; she'll just build some sort of automaton or tool to get her out of the situation.) She can create incredible forms of technology, sometimes causing people to think they've fallen into some sort of tale of science-fiction. She's been building machines since she was a toddler, after all; her father shared her great intelligence, and he instilled many ideas in blueprints in his daughter's mind from a very young age. Bouncy-bombs, anyone?

Biography
Ophelia and Ian were born in a small village in a remote area of the Marble Wastes. Ophelia, being an introverted personality, and Ian, having been born pompous, never really interacted in the early years of their lives.

Ophelia was born to a small family that kept mostly to themselves. Her mother was a computer genius and her father was a researcher with the Gamayun Institute. As a child, Ophelia would stay inside and learn the basics of technology and science from her parents, rather than go out and play with other children. She inherited her father's intellectual genius and her mother's mechanical skills, and with these tools she made her own sort of friends out of any scraps she could find laying around.

Ian, on the other hand, was born into a respected and wealthy family. His father had been an elite soldier with the Scarlet Guard, and his mother a highly talented medic. With their money and influence, they basically owned the town that Ian and Ophelia were born to. This gave fuel to the flames of Ian's conceited heart, and gave him an excess in confidence and feelings of superiority. Due to this, he was a bit of a bully with other kids, manipulating them and "gracing them with his friendship." He payed little attention to less fortunate and less social children, so he never came in much contact with Ophelia. Despite his faults, he was still a decent child when he wasn't swimming in his arrogance; an arrogance that was more his father's than his own. Ian was respectful and well mannered, just not always to children that disputed his family's superiority.

In the year 66NW, however, Ian's and Ophelia's childhoods came to a sudden end.

At the closing events of a yearly festival in their town, an event meant to embody the jubilant spirit of humanity and their resistance against darkness, the lights of youthful glee were extinguished. While the villagers celebrated their steadfast wills in the fight against darkness, shadow engulfed them. The town was almost instantly overrun by the pawns of The Dark Presence.

Sligg and Sliggoth appeared everywhere and seemingly from nowhere, cutting down the villagers that they had caught off guard. In an instant, the joyous laughter of hundreds turned into the terrified screams of a thousand. Hundreds of the creatures came and overpowered the town. It wasn't long before the lights went out, only to be replaced by the flames that covered the streets. The soldiers that had survived the initial attack managed to slaughter many of the creatures, but when the tide seemed to turn in the favor of humanity, there came a Witch.

Commanding an army of thralls, the Witch charged in and obliterated the town. Very few managed to survive the night. Ophelia's father, Cornelius, had managed to grab her and some nearby children and hide them from the thralls. This would be the first true meeting of Ophelia and Ian, and the final moments of their wondrous innocence of childhood. That night Ian's parents had perished in the battle, along with Ophelia's mother; the body of whom was never found, probably having been too gruesomely destroyed to be identified, as were many.

After that night, Cornelius took Ian in as his own, and the three of them became wanderers. They traveled the many lands of Risa Eist, honing their fighting skills and knowledge as they learned how to properly defend themselves from Darkness. Cornelius managed to continue his work with the Gamayun Institute as he traveled, and his new found anger and resolve helped to fuel numerous projects that were both incredibly audacious and highly dangerous.

As they trained, Ophelia focused on honing her knowledge while Ian strained his physical limits. They learned how to work together and, despite their opposing personalities, became the closest of friends. After years of working together, they became a well-oiled machine and were known in many of the places that they visited as one of the deadliest duos in the Marble Wastes. They learned how to exploit and destroy essence, taking it upon themselves to help rid the world of the darkness that tainted it so. It wasn't long before they could even take on small groups of thralls with relative ease, and their renown gave them many mercenary missions that would help to support them financially.

When Ian and Ophelia were fifteen and fourteen, respectively, one of Cornelius's more daring projects turned sour. An experiment gone wrong caused a sudden and massive influx of darkness in the area, greatly increasing the effects and detriments of essence for a short period. Countless creatures spawned and began terrorizing the locals, and while Nel, Ophelia, and Ian were able to combat the creatures relatively well, they were no match for the coven of witches that had been attracted to the high concentration of darkness. They managed to defeat two of the witches, but not before suffering innumerable losses for both themselves and the people living in the area. The third witch, now known to Ophelia and Ian as The Witch, was far deadlier than her comrades.

For days the battle continued, and the humans eventually defeated the creatures as the tide of darkness subsided. But The Witch remained, and Nel, Ophelia, Ian pursued her to the outskirts of a nearby forest, where she revealed her true power. There was nothing Ian nor Ophelia could do as Cornelius was struck down, destroying the last of Ophelia's blood family and tearing another hole in the hearts of them both. After that catastrophic blow, The Witch seemed to toy with Ian and Ophelia, and the two barely managed to escape with their lives. Even now they remember the unique signatures of this particular witch, but despite years of searching and many tears being shed, they failed to ever track down and defeat The Witch. Destroying her remains one of their primary goals to this day.

The battle left Ian with something of a permanent scar, however; some part of the darkness had seemed to merge with him, leaving him uncomfortably close with the powers of essence. After this encounter with The Witch, he gained a great amount of control over the abilities provided by essence, and uncanny senses for tracing and combating the forces of Darkness. Unable to explain these abilities, he was at first wary and scared of them. Eventually he grew accustomed to them, and learned to accept them. Ophelia, however, remained ever cautious and watchful, fearing Ian might go a little too overboard and succumb to the Darkness.

After that tragic week of fighting, Ian and Ophelia continued their trek across Risa Eist, their hearts burning with even more anger and purpose than before. Without guidance and unsure of what to do with themselves, they eventually decided to join the Heart Stealers, putting their years of accumulated knowledge and skills to use. It was at this point that Ian became even more heavily infused with essence, going so far as to have his heart replaced with a heart shard, much to the horror of Ophelia. Her past experiences had driven her away from essence, causing her to only use it when a machine was in serious need of augmentation, whereas Ian was driven closer to it, seeking to use the Dark Presence's own abilities against it. This led to some conflict between the two, but they still remain very close, fully trusting no one besides each other.

Title
The Ice Wraith

Appearance
Ian is a young Caucasian man that stands at six feet two inches and weighs about one hundred and sixty pounds. His overall build is lean but muscular, giving him a strength that one might not assume from someone like him. He has wild, bright blonde hair that manages to look neat while maintaining a "this needs to be trimmed" appearance. From behind his messy mane and beneath his sculpted eyebrows, Ian's ice-blue eyes shine with a clear confidence, or perhaps arrogance. His facial features are thin and pointed, and he always has a cocky smile decorating his finely chiseled visage. Although thin, Ian's body is laced with well-toned muscles, giving him a fair amount of strength to match his natural acrobatic abilities. His collarbone is prominent, his arms and legs long, and there's not a blemish to be seen anywhere on his skin; something he prides himself in greatly, and takes care to maintain. His posture is typically relaxed but held high, causing him to exude an atmosphere of superiority over all others he meets, which is certainly evident in his personality as well.

When it comes to style, Ian wears only things fashionable enough to be worthy of his self-labeled "gorgeous" physique. On his head he wears large, sleek white headphones that are always prepared to blast his favorite tunes; something that he's been known to do even in the midst of battle. A silver chain adorned with a pendant resembling a serpent coiled around a missing object hangs around his neck; the other half, resembling a golden rose, belongs to Ian's friend Ophelia. Covering his torso is typically a light blue, short-sleeved jacket that sits open over a wide variety of form-fitting sleeveless shirts. His hands are clad in black leather gloves, and he carries a pair of sunglasses that hang from the front of his shirt collar. He wears dark blue or black skinny jeans, which are topped with a decorative black leather belt detailed with a variety of serpents; the belt is more for show than anything else. His shoes are black with white laces, and somehow manage to remain in pristine condition, despite all of the wild situations that Ian finds himself in. Some people have come to believe that he has a large wardrobe with identical, similar, and even more stylish styles to always replace his tattered clothing. Those people would be correct.

When in his battle armor, the first change that occurs is the transformation of Ian's headphones into a half helmet that covers the top of his head, but stops right around his nose, beneath the visor. This is thanks to the technological savvy of Ophelia, and Ian enjoys using this helm because of that fact that it's "quite stylish." After the helmet transformation, Ian can form a white cuirass with ice-blue outlines by activating a small spaulder on his left shoulder, which expands in a similar fashion to his helmet. Beyond that, he has some matching expandable gauntlets that spawn from buttons on the back of his gloves, as well as boots which form flexible greaves to protect his legs, which are activated by pins on the inward face of his shoes. His left gauntlet can also form a small shield to protect him from certain attacks when necessary.
Equipment/Weaponry
Some days Ian feels like fighting with a sword or two, and others he wants something a little more pointy, like a spear. Other times the idea of slicing some things up with a nice big halberd sounds amusing, but there are some occasions where he just wants to vent by punching things with some very big and spiky gauntlets. Maybe he's feeling a little saucy with a sling, or perhaps a little frisky with a flail; sometimes a little mystery with a dagger is the right way to go, and sometimes he just wants to give a big middle finger to everything and use something more long-range like a bow, crossbow, shuriken, or maybe a machine gun. Depends on his mood, really. So, in order to accommodate for his flowing moods and preferences, Ian decided to have Ophelia build him a sort of all-in-one transforming weapon, much like his armor. It can make some pretty interesting weapons, but it can only stretch so far and so often, so extreme styles and quick changes can be a bit more difficult. Things like arrows and bolts are created out of the energy of essence, and can be charged with various elemental effects, such as fire and lightning. Let's just say that Ian has a hard time making up his mind. Or, to put it in his words, "you just can't limit beauty like mine to one or two simple forms, deary." [Insert winky face here]
Abilities/Combat Style
Style? Honey, that's just called "Ian." He fights in his own way, making up his own techniques as he goes along. That is to say, he has no plan of action and just kind of throws in a few interesting kicks and spins here and there. That by no means implies that he's a bad fighter; he's quite a remarkable combatant, really. It's just hard to classify him as anything other than "Ian," at least when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. His true skills come from his masterful command of essence.

Having gone the full way and practically turned himself into an essence machine—much to the dismay of Ophelia—Ian has the ability to command a vast array of some pretty magical abilities. It comes at the cost of the threat of pretty much total corruption of everything and anything Ian, but hey, he's an arrogant prick; what were you expecting? Ian's favorite ability is his power to summon and manipulate ice and shadows. He can create blasts of frigid air, freeze most anything, summon ice-based weaponry and projectiles, and manipulate the very shadows beneath his feet. The cold darkness of oblivion is his domain, and no one he's ever met can match his mastery in these arts. He can control other elements as well, but not nearly with as much skill or precision as ice and shadow.

His favorite techniques involve the use of shadow to cloak himself and the cold to surprise his enemies; hence him being known as "The Ice Wraith." He also has a tendency to summon mirrors of ice and stare at himself. A lot. There's a chance that he might be just a little tiny bit narcissistic. Maybe.

Sorry to see you go, Apollo.

As for myself, I'm ready to continue. Also, I edited my post a little so that Meredith has her cloud up when she leaves her blanket. I figured it would fit her better.

Grif is going to have a post up soon where characters can ask questions and generally look about the scenery you all are going to make up. :3

I'm a bit busy, I have a ton of exams/quizzes/homework over the course of two weeks (this week and the next) so I should have a post up soon-ish. Don't worry about me tho, I'll catch up.

Okay so I've read the latest IC posts and I'm not really sure what's going on here. Lord Sephear posted with a character named Ashley Cross and I'm not sure exactly who this is? I looked at the OP and through the thread to see if there was a bio and there wasn't any. She also wasn't mentioned in Gerard's intro post.

So then I looked t Gerard's bio and Ashley is mentioned in there by first name. She has no age, description, and is apparently good with a knife and has a heart shard for some reason. She's also with Gerard because her uncle can't take care of her?

Her being here is fine but it's weird to me that we have a character in the RP with no bio or at least more information about her other than she has a knife, a shard, and is related to Gerard I guess. I don't know if you've read the post Grif or you guys discussed this in some private chat, but I think every character in the RP should have a bio.
