I PMed you about this earlier, but Watchman and I were working on our SUs together. School and other obligations got in our way and it's delayed us on a few projects we've been trying to do. We have
of our SUs done. All we have left is the bios which we should get done tonight after I get back home from the airport sometime this afternoon.
✘Name
Aaron Austin
✘Age
23, August 19th 54NW
✘Gender
Male
✘Title
Double-Bladed Dumbass
✘Appearance
Aaron is a short guy only standing at 5'7" (just a bit taller than his weapon). He doesn't have much to make-up for his unimpressive height. The only thing that may help him out is his fit, athletic physique, but who doesn't have that in a group like this?
Aaron has naturally golden skin, dark hair, and dark eyes. a medium-build that gives him the strength to wield his weapon with ease and enough power to give a punch that means something. However, it stops him from being as quick and nimble as he'd like to be (even with his essence) so he barks about that often. On his body, Aaron has scars for punishments taken as a kid and from times he's sparred with friends. As for Aaron's hair, it isn't neat at all. It's wild, very wild, and when you look at him you'll be wondering when his next hair cut is. It's never, if you ask him. Aaron doesn't have the patience or the will to sit still long enough to get a haircut or make himself look pretty. So Aaron often has chin-strap and goatee combo goin' on when you see him. It's not until someone sits him down and forces him that he'll make his hair a little more tame.
When it comes to clothes Aaron is only slightly more proficient. He knows better than to put on anything inside of his drawers and does attempt to make things match, but when it comes to picking out fabulous clothes he's not very good at it, it seems. None of his clothes particularly stand out from the crowd when compared to anyone else. His casual clothes, I mean. When it comes to his on-the-job work, Aaron wears the standard protective clothing which includes protective arm and knee pads. He also wears gloves to give him an easier grip on his weapon (as well as warm up his hands in particular cold weather). Aaron wears a red-bandanna with a picture of a golden bird around his neck. On his pants he always keeps a silver chain which ends in another golden bird. These trinkets, items to honor his past, set him apart from his teammates.
✘Biography
Aaron is one of many souls in the New World to be fortunate and unfortunate enough to live in the city stronghold called Malekat. Before the Dark Presence invaded the world, Malekat had been a city in the center of business and industry. As the world became a more and more dangerous place, it evolved into a stronghold, focused entirely on keeping its people safe and the bad out. Statistically, it's both the most peaceful and safest place you could live. Statistically. In reality, Malekat is a different story.
Malekat is only so safe and so peaceful because of its fully-trained and dedicated Noble Battalion. The members of the Battalion are a familiar presence in Malekat. They patrol the city day and night, keep watch over the city's Great Walls at all times, and maintains the public's satisfaction. Satisfaction in Malekat is easy to maintain, according to its top leaders. With the Noble Battalion's constant vigilance of the wall and its people, its curfews, its reasonable punishments, and strict laws against leaving the Walls without need, how could it have ever been hard? It was in this world that Aaron was born and its harshness was intensified by his enrollment in The Academy.
The Noble Academy was a school to train young children to become the strong members of the Battalion in the future. Like many kids, Aaron would be chosen to go. In the academy all types of weapons were taught and explored for the first few years of the child's enrollment. Later on they would specialize with a certain weapon or otherwise continue to hone their skill in a variety of offensive and defensive tools. Like the majority, Aaron chose to specialize in polearms. It was really his love for these kinds of weapons that kept him in the academy, at least as first.
Before Aaron was enrolled into The Academy, he was much like any other kid. Loud, energetic, and imaginative. His love for fun lasted through his infant years and after he took his first steps to becoming a guard for Malekat. Just a day with him in class and you'll know Aaron is a clown. Through rigorous training, studies, and exams, Aaron somehow found the time to pull a prank or tell a joke or get in trouble at all. Hearing Aaron's name called or seeing him limping away from a punishment wasn't uncommon at all. Aaron was probably getting in trouble five times a week and if you asked him he'd say it was no fault of his. The instructors didn't know a thing about fun and he wasn't going to stop having it because they were a little stuck up. Besides, while in the Academy, Aaron thought he was doing pretty well. Even with his goofiness Aaron, as I said before, decided to specialize in polearms. Not just because he was the best with them, but because he absolutely loved them. When he wasn't in a class, Aaron was training with his weapon. Not for any sort of goal, but only for the idea that the more he knew how to do with it, the more fun he could have. His constant practice and playing got him into a lot of trouble, but it also helped him soar above the kids in his class and soon enough he was training one-on-one with his teacher, a man he was and still is amazed by. Aaron went as far as to become his apprentice and still highly respects him.
Aside from his teachers and his own practice, Aaron got a lot of training from sparring with his friends, of which he had many. His antics made him well-liked within The Academy and he always had a group of friends around him. The only problem with being friends with Aaron was that when he got in trouble, they all got in trouble. Luckily for his friends, Aaron, whenever he could, would take the entirety of the punishment. Indeed, he was liked by all. Well,
most. There was one person who he couldn't quite get along with and that was Vie. Aaron couldn't quite place why Vie (his name was Everette, but Aaron
insisted on calling him Vie) didn't quite like him and for a long time he didn't care. Aaron was good, but not as good as Vie. With that kid in The Academy, he came up as number two, not number one. For him, that wasn't a big deal, he was just happy Vie was around in the first place since it gave him something to do. The more he excelled on his own, the easier it was to beat his friends in a sparring match. With Everette always a few steps above him, Aaron had someone he could hope to beat. For the first time Aaron had some semblance of a goal that took him to greater heights. Time after time Aaron and Everette would end up in a challenge against each other. As many close matches they've had, Aaron has yet to win one.
After graduating from The Academy, his relationship with Everette grew from a fun game to a good friendship. Instead of seeing Everette as a possible brawl, now Aaron viewed him as a great partner. Even though the two of them weren't the best of friends, Aaron finds himself now in the Heart Stealers because of Everette. He had never heard of the group until he was approached while patrolling the wall. The faction sounded fun enough, the adventure exciting. It wasn't until after he consulted his old teacher from The Academy that he agreed to leave with Everette and join the Heart Stealers.
✘Equipment/Weaponry
Aaron's
weapon is a double-bladed polearm. The weapon itself is a little over five feet in total length and is worn on Aaron's back when not in use. For longer distance travel like in a vehicle (if they still have those), Aaron is able to take apart his weapon and put it in a case. Aaron's weapon is perfect for long-rage slicing and cutting, and at times, blocking. Even though his weapon can come apart, Aaron would only use his blades as small swords in the stickiest of situations.
Aaron, being very fond of his weapon and wanting to pack as light as possible, doesn't carry much other than his primary weapon. The only defenses he has, other than his clothing, are two small daggers he can use when his polearm is out of commission. Other than that, Aaron doesn't carry anything else but some water and snacks in a knapsack. He's notorious for being unprepared supplies-wise, but explains the problem away. Why does he need to bring a lot of gear when his teammates are already packing as it is?
The sheathe for each blade doesn't have a dragon, but a golden bird on it.
✘Abilities/Combat Style
Aaron's love for his weapon has allowed him to become an expert in its use and techniques. He is extremely skilled with his polearm and can use it both gracefully and aggressively, though he prefers to go for something in between.
Aaron's power of essence only improves his skill. It gives him the boost in agility, flexibility, and balance he needs to take his skill to untouched heights. This extra boost helps him while with his polearm, with only his daggers, and only his fists. It's imperative to remember that his power doesn't do anything for his strength, so for stronger, sturdier opponents, Aaron must rely on his wit and tactics. Whatever that is…
The more he trains his essence the easier it is for him to master other weapons. However without regular practice and training, he'll never be as masterful as he is with his polearm.
