  • Well, here's my SU, there's something about it that I just don't like...Not sure what it is though, it does seem kinda short though...(Seemed longer when I was writing it)

    Name: Miska "Missy"

    Gender: Female

    Species: Skitty

Appearance: Miska looks much like a regular Skitty, other than the fact that she is slightly smaller, and her fur is a more saturated pink color. She wears a blue scarf around her neck, which she holds very dear. Her stubby legs render her unable to run very fast, and she is very clumsy. The tan part of her face is more oval in shape than normal, and her eyes are usually opened instead of squinted. Her tail has four things on it instead of three.

Personality: Very distractable and absent-minded, even the smallest thing can make her completely forget about the task at hand. However, she does her best not to let this happen, and beats herself up about it if it does. She is kind despite this, and she does her best to do what is right, though it doesn't always work out. She can be very ignorant at times, so she may sometimes may need a bit more explanation than others when it comes to certain things. She is very determined though, and never gives up.

History: Always enjoying her life, Miska will say that she has an uneventful life. This is very dar from the truth, and her life has had many hardships. She is an orphan, with her parents dying in a fire when she was very young. She was adopted by an old Misdreavus, who loved her very much. This event has made her somewhat shy, so she is never one to initiate a relationship.

In school, she rarely payed attention, except for one class - history. She had always enjoyed hearing about how things used to be, and had been curious on how it had always happened. When the police squad of Treasure City started their special program, she joined in an instant, hoping to have some good adventures. While she realizes what she's trying to do, she is usually more focused on enjoying herself than the result.

    Moves: Tail Whip and Tackle

So yeah, I hope it's okay. Like I said, there's something about it that I just don't like...Could just be me though. I want to have fun with this character.

  • Nevermind reserving a spot for me; my SU is ready! =3
So, without further ado, I present Rani the Growlithe! ^_^

    Name: Rani

    Gender: Female

    Species: Growlithe

Appearance: Rani, like any normal Growlithe, is a small, canine Pokemon. Her fur is auburn and upon her chest, belly and the top of her head lie tufts of scruffy cream coloured fur. Her tail is a similar fluffy texture and the same cream colour. She doesn't wear clothes, but she does have a bronze anklet around her left back leg with an interesting engraving that depicts the Sun shining over a volcano shaped island on the Sea.

Personality: Like most other Growlithe, Rani is fiercely loyal and isn't afraid to stand up to much stronger enemies in order to protect those she has sworn to help, but that doesn't mean she rushes into fights without thinking. In fact, she is not easily taunted into a fight, and prefers to try and talk her way out of bad situations. She can usually keep a level head under pressure, but sometimes her feral canine instinct kicks in and causes her to act rashly. It is after one of these moments when her pride of being related to 'legendary' Arcanine can cause her to become downtrodden and quiet because she feels she has betrayed the honour and regal pride of her species. She hates to fail like this or in any undertaking, and often finds it hard to get her head back in gear and take anything positive from defeat.

History: Rani grew up with her parents and her younger sister, Cani, in a large cave on the outskirts of Treasure City, where she was constantly reminded that one day, when she grew up, she would become an Arcanine herself, and that this was a great honour.
Arcanine had always represented pride, honour, courage and loyalty, and every single Growlithe and Arcanine needed to live up to the glory of their ancestors by reflecting these qualities in everything they said and did, and should never allow themselves to fall prey to deceit and failure. Her parents forbade her and Cani from entering Treasure City because the Pokemon there weren't worthy of the presence of Growlithe and Arcanine. They presented Rani with the anklet that she now wears on her back left leg, claiming it to be an heirloom handed down from the ancient times of grand adventure where Rescue and Exploration teams roamed the land. She has kept it as encouragement to do great things ever since.
It was from her parents' constant assurance of her honour and their intolerance of failure that Rani gained her pride and her stubborn streak, as well as her belief that nothing good could come from failure.

One day, when Rani and Cani were out hunting, a criminal Pokemon that had escaped the clutches of the law savagely lunged at Cani, but Rani quickly intervened and knocked the Pokemon out cold, growling that if he ever came near anyone under her protection again she wouldn't be so merciful. The Treasure City police had been quick on the criminal's heels and after witnessing her intense loyalty and bravery, insisted that she join the police force as a bodyguard for the witness protecting program. Her parents threatened to disown her for fraternising with those below her in status, but Rani proudly defied them, justifying her wish to join as something honourable and courageous. Despite this, her parents lost faith in her and shunned her, yet she still feels that she is protecting the honour of her ancestors.

Rani went on to continue proving herself to be fiercely loyal to Treasure City and those she needed to protect, even in the face of great danger. This eventually led to her being assigned to the Elite Team because eeveryone was confident that she would courageously hunt Darkrai and Kara with never ceasing determination and would certainly never betray Treasure Town and its inhabitants by defecting to his side.

    Moves: Bite and Roar

I do hope that was all okay! Thank you for reading! ^_^

I'm not sure if the history of how she became part of the Elite Team was entirely satisfactory, so if it isn't, please keep Growlithe reserved for me while I improve it! I really, really want to RP this character now. XD

  • Name: Maxwell 'Max'
    Gender: Female
    Species: Machop
    Appearance
: Max looks just like a normal Machop, she's short and has gray skin, the three brown ridges on her head, large red eyes and her cute, tiny and useless tail. There's nothing remotely interesting about her appearance, except for the Muscle Band secured tightly around her forehead and stitched inside the fabric of the band is a piece of an Everstone, because Max doesn't ever want to evolve, due to her evolutions being extremely bulky and covered with muscle, it didn't look well with a girl like her.

    Personality
: Max is a very brash and loud Machop, if she finds something suspicious she'll often attack first and ask questions later, she's also a bit absentminded and sometimes forgets how strong she really is, especially when her emotions get the best of her and she begins uprooting trees and crushing boulders like they were nothing but twigs. But that's just one side of Max that people see, her brashness is the more dominant part of her personality, she also has a softer side, the side where a cute little female Machop, who's extremely self conscious and insecure about her looks wishes she was something more cuter. Max is also very impatient and hates waiting, she prefers getting things done quickly instead of waiting around for others and making others wait on her and this often leads her to get in trouble alot with her superiors and colleagues. She also has issues with other Pokémon commonly mistaking her for a male Machop, seeing as how females of her species are very rare and Pokémon are often shocked with she tells them she's a girl, though it doesn't help that she has a males name and a slightly gruff voice. Max is a sucker for sweets and loves to train, as is her nature and while her move pool only consists of Meditate and Low Kick, she is currently trying to teach herself how to use Close Combat, though its not going along exactly well. Maxwell prefers not to use firearms or weapons of the sort unless it is needed, due to her teachings, plus she prefers pounding things with her fists and using her natural born abilities instead.

History: While growing up and going to school in Treasure City, Max was the type of Machop most Pokémon steered clear of, Male and Female alike, due to the fact that her sheer brute strength scared most of the boys in her class and apparently she wasn't cute enough to hang out with the other girls in their class, they treated her like she had the Pokérus or something and it made her feel like she'd never amount to anything. After getting out of school, things began getting better for Max, she found out that her her small stature and amazing strength proved to be very useful for the building and demolition clean up crew of Treasure City so they hired her to join the group, she was the youngest of her crew, which consisted of Zangoose and Ariados. Her job in their group, was to destroy any large rocks that was left over, smashing them into little pieces so that Rido could gather them with his webbing and then Zee would melt the rocks with Flamethrower, or heat them up and use his Crush Claw to mold them into useful items to sell. During one of their normal clean up sessions, Max had found a chipped off piece of an Everstone lying haphazardly on the ground, the Machop had decided she'd keep it, because she didn't want to evolve.

Eventually her job of destroying rocks and cleaning up debris became a boring and routinely cliché task so she quit and decided to learn the way of the martial artist, requesting the help of a wise and kind Medicham who would teach her the way of martial arts through meditation and perseverance, but because of her brashness and lack of patience, that didn't go to well, she learned a lot, but felt they were going at a much too slow pace, she wanted action! Max was far more interested in kicking butt and KOing Pokémon rather than sitting with her legs crossed Indian style for hours and practicing how to breathe properly. Her mentor decided, that since Max preferred a action filled life-style, she would be a great asset for the police team and managed to get one of the commanding officers to hire her, and as a parting gift, he gave Max the Muscle Band that she wears proudly. This action bought tears to her eyes and she thanked her mentor, expressing extreme gratitude for getting her this job, she promised him that she would always remember his teachings and utilize them in her new lifestyle. . . too bad for Medicham that a couple days later, while the group she was with was guarding a prison, her impatience nearly caused the group to fail and accidentally allowed a prisoner to escape. After being let off her 3 day suspension, Max sheepishly apologized to her coworkers and superiors, while Medicham sighed and rubbed at his temples upon hearing the news, young Max still had a ways to go.

Known Moves: Low Kick and Meditate (Learned from her mentor Medicham)

  • Name: Rokan [A different spelling of Vulpix's Japanese name.]

    Gender: Female

    Species: Vulpix

Appearance: Between her large, velvety brown, pointed fox-like ears grows curly orange fur. This well-groomed patch of curls supplies her thick forelock. Her ears never stand straight up in perfect symmetry, as most Vulpix's do. You may even call her lop eared, for her right ear remains down. She has some control over it, and if she tries she can lift it almost as high as the left, but it takes effort. This provides a slight disadvantage for her, because the right ear doesn't receive sound as well as it should. Her large brown eyes always seem to be full of life, though she's not the most energetic creature. Seeing as she's not anywhere near ready to evolve, her tail hasn't split into six gorgeous mahogany tails yet. She's at just three. The two outside tails are almost the hue they'll end at. The one in the middle, however, is just turning orange. White streaks remain in the long silky fur. Her body fur is predominantly a light milk chocolate color. Her stockings are slightly longer than most Vulpix's, ending just below her knees. They're a much darker brown than her body, like dark chocolate. Starting at the middle of her chest, her stomach is a pure white that stretches to between her back legs. She always wears a thick silver chain around her neck with a Vulpix pawprint.

Personality: As previously stated, Rokan isn't the most energetic creature. She enjoys lying in the sun on mild days, feeling the warmth on her fur. She doesn't get along well with other Vulpix, preferring the company of other species. When properly motivated, she can get a task finished at an almost frightening pace. She has the capability to be the nurturing type, often mothering the young, or those that she feels a special attachment towards. She doesn't exactly like cubs, and hopes never to have any of her own, but every now and then she'll find one she likes. In most cases she's easy to get along with, as long as you're not on the opposite side as she is. While she's loyal to friends until death, she treats enemies exactly inversely. She's more than willing to fight to the death. Her appearance as an orange fluffy fox-like creature misleads her opponents into believing she'll be easy to dispose of. That misconception is often enough to put Rokan at an advantage. She would do absolutely anything for most sodas and if deprived will become peevish.

History: Rokan was born to Pizzaro, a Psyduck, and Velveteen, a Vulpix. Growing up with an empty-headed duck for a father and a conceited fox for a mother made for a strange childhood. Part of a litter of seven, she had four brothers and two sisters. Both sisters were Vulpix, but three of the four boys were Psyduck. She never liked her sisters. They were both born with perfect forelocks, long white tails, and perfectly erect ears. Rokan preferred her imperfect brothers. The one male Vulpix's tail was too short, his forelock was always messy, and his socks were uneven. And the Psyduck always had the same vacant expression. She loved it. They were her best friends growing up. They would often play cops and robbers. Rokan was almost always a cop, for she believed a Mon's livelihood should not be callously taken from. But the male Vulpix, Samrin, always elected to be a robber. When they were children the role they played in their games was not important, and no one gave it too much thought.

When they were old enough they began thinking about what they wanted to be when they grew up. All Rokan knew was she enjoyed saving people, making sure they were safe. It didn't dawn on her what job that might be until she came upon a Treasure City Police Squad training. The precision with which they drew their weapons and fired shots captured her interest and didn't release her until the guns were in their holsters. That day she raced home to her family to tell them what she wanted to do. Her mother scoffed, tails waving, and told her she would do no such thing, she would be a beauty contest Vulpix like she was, and as her sisters would be. No matter how Velveteen argued, Rokan's path was set, and she knew it. Pizzaro gave his daughter his blessing, despite what she wanted to do. After some strangely insightful words for a Psyduck, he took Rokan up to the Police Academy.

The Growlithe there gave her a critical look, unsure of her suitability for the job because of her flat ear. After several hearing tests to prove she wouldn't be at a disability, she accepted. Training began the next day. It was the most difficult thing she had ever been through, and she loved it. It tested her tenacity, her will, and her physical capabilities. She thrived under the strict instruction of Commander Walsh, a strict Farfetch'd who expected nothing but the best. After several months she graduated, among the top of her class.

Rokan's first assignment was to stop a robbery at one of the major jewelers in the city. She accepted it with eagerness, ready to go from the moment it was mentioned to her. She and her partner, a rather large Meowth, went out to the location to find that the suspects were still inside the building. Holding her gun between her two front paws and balancing on her back legs and tails, she ordered them to come out or she would open fire. A frighteningly familiar voice barked back that she would have to come and get them. It was exactly the line Samrin would use when they used to play cops and robbers. Her heart sinking, she inched forward until she could see him, his fur stained black from rolling in coal dust. "Come out, I mean it!" she roared more forcefully, compensating for her pain with increased aggression. It was then Samrin realized Rokan was the one on his tail. A devious grin curled his lips, showing sharp white teeth. "I'm coming, sissy."

He bounded through the window, breaking it into shards, and was on top of her in an instant, tearing at her throat. A single gunshot was fired and it was over. Rokan wiggled out from under him, wounded both physically and emotionally. Her partner could do nothing to console her after he apprehended the other suspect. She went to the hospital for stitches, told her family about the loss, and went into seclusion for several days. Her Commander began to worry he would have to excuse her from the force. But she proved nothing could destroy her passion. Still bruised, stitched, and mourning, she went in to work out of the blue a week after the assignment. The only difference was the thick silver chain around her neck. It bore a Vulpix pawprint, to remind her of the loss of her brother, and that despite the fact that he had been her blood, nothing should deter her from keeping the peace. It was a hard lesson, but she came out stronger for it.

For many years more she continued taking down the underbelly of society, keeping Treasure City a safer place. The moves she'd known since birth, Ember and Disable, helped quite often. Burning a suspect's feet or taking away their sense of equilibrium always made her job a little easier. All her hard work paid off when asked to begin training with a group of similarly driven Pokemon. Always looking to further her career she took the opportunity gladly.

    Name: Mack.

    Gender: Genderless.

    Species: Magnemite.

Appearance: It has a round, sleek, metallic body, with one circular, white eye in the center of its face. Like any other, it also has two small screws placed on its lower body. It really can get the job done with its two large U-shaped arms, both with red and blue ends to indicate north and south poles. These magnetic arms are very useful for its levitation. One of its main parts is the very large screw on top of its head. It can use it to detect magnetic forces, electric currents, and sound waves. Because its body is magnetic, it has three small, colored magnets arranged around the screw on its head, one being red, another blue, and the third yellow.

Personality: Because it is autonomous-like, its personality is very questionable. It is often very gentle and peaceable; it doesn't want to see havoc or physical violence. Because of this, it likes to see history as if it was in the present. It likes to study technology, kinetics, and various other sciences very frequently and it has a habit of speaking with a large vocabulary, which has others think of it as being 'a nerd' or 'having a screw loose'. But it learns to ignore these things and continues with his ways. But having a very studious personality has a cost of it not having very many friends. So it is often seen alone with its thoughts. One of its biggest wishes is to change the way everyone lives and find how the past can someday help the future.

History: When he was very new (young) he was an average student genius. His photographic memory and excessive information capacity was the reason. In schools and universities he usually got very good grades and scores. Throughout its years, he became one of the most potential-minded students known in that time. But that came at a price. Despite all this, not many of the other Pokémon liked him and treated it as a geek, partially in jealousy, but Mack tried hard and ignored their criticisms and mockery. Yet, it couldn't ignore the fact that its practically friendless. Occasionally, this brings its hopes down and has it a bit lonely. But it is very persistent. It continued doing its historical and scientific studies.

As Mack grew older, its reputation of being a very focused student and eventually moved up to a university, where it met various professors and scientists. They thought of it as no ordinary student, but a faithful one, who is dedicated to its work and research. It even discovered some new technologies that are used in the Pokémon world today. After Mack graduated from the university, it put its knowledge to work in a power plant as an electrician, which is its current job today. Although Mack was successful in its research and job, there was still something missing. Mack wanted a friendship, a true friendship, with someone that he could talk to, hang out with, and many others things that he would want to do. It's just like a rich man being fabulously fortunate, but not having any real friends. Mack always remembers what he studied in history and sometimes wishes that the present would be like the past someday.

Strikit: *Looks at history section* Better get comfy... '_' Okay, done reading! Very well done- accepted.

Tjgamer: Oh the glory of having to use 'it' instead of 'he' or 'she' ^ -^ Accepted.

Kerjo: Yup, you can have a riolu, try to get your SU up soon! Reserved.

OKAY POKEMONS! TODAY WE BEGIN THE AFFAIRS OF THE ELITE FORCE. Which means that we are starting and you all should have fun. SUs will remain open, and you are now allowed to post them in the OOC, however it is still okay to put them here. If you have any questions, post them there too. As a final note: I leik mudkipz XD.

    IC:

Haley's blood was pounding when the realization came. I'm actually doing this... HOLY MILTANK WHAT HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO!? Yet on the outside the mudkip wooper (okay, I'll be serious now) appeared as calm as ever. The police chief that had asked her to join the group told her to go to this room- the second door from the left of the main entrance -to meet the others. Unfortunately, no one had arrived yet. Haley began to study her surroundings in a meek effort to cure her bordom. A long table with a number of chairs made up the main area of the room, with the only other furniture as a table with some water and cups available. The walls of the room were bleak too- being near the center of the building there were no windows and the only decoration was a large map of the region where she lived. Wow... I've never really taken the time to study a map before... our home is big, Haley thought to herself as she looked over the picture. A few places such as the small treeshroud forest, a land formation that looked similar to a wine glass made of land that was overflowing with water, and other strange places were circled in orange. A red circle surrounded what Haley assumed to be temporal tower, since it was off to the side of the map and there was a marking in the sea near it that looked like a wierd shimmer. The only other abstract markings on the map were blue circles around dark crater, Poketraz island, and Volcania City. It didn't take much effort for Haley to figure out what the markings meant; the orange ones showed places connected to time gears, with a more intense red marking temporal tower. The blue rings showed places where the criminals they were searching may be found- dark crater was where Darkrai first held his base so many years ago, Poketraz island was where he was held prisoner, and Volcania city was Kara's birthplace, and surprisingly close to dark crater. Haley sighed. Tracking them down may prove harder than I'de anticipated.

She managed to cast away that thought by looking at the map, searching now for places she'd been before. Treasure City was one of the bigger ones marked on a map, with a few silver lines streaking from it to other large cities. They were bullet-train tracks. The only time she had ever left Treasure City was on one of these bullet trains, adn she traced that one's track with her gaze. Being one of the longer tracks, this one went all the way to one of the most beautiful cities on the planet; Shaymopolis. It was a relatively large city at the base of the amazing sky mountain, famous for the wonderful ski runs on it and hiking trails. Shaymopolis itself was named after it's original inhabitants, the shaymin. But remembering her job again Haley realized that all of those cute little Shaymin were in danger, as well as every other pokemon. Well, nearly every pokemon. I think Darkrai and Kara are perfectly content with their plans. I wonder if any others have arrived yet... Haley turned her head back to see if anyone was there, readying herself to greet one of her fellow officers.

  • Yes! Let's get this party hunt started! =D
My thanks for accepting me, Comet~*!
(The following post looked a lot longer in notepad... =[)
    xX

"Okay, Rani," the young growlithe spoke softly to herself as she approached the door she had been directed to- But wait, was it this door? "Think - second door from the left of the main entrance." She looked back at the main entrance and counted along - one, two, three- no, she was at the wrong door after all. "Oh, Rani," she scolded herself, scowling, "Don't mess it up on the first day!"
She sighed, then headed one door to her left - the second from the left of the main entrance.
"Okaaay, Rani. Now you're in the right place." She took a deep breath in, then let it go slowly. She then smiled triumphantly and lifted her head up high. "You're a Growlithe. Descended from the legendary Arcanine of the past. Darkrai and Kara don't have a chance now you're here."
Rani nodded, and slowly but firmly pushed open the door. She quickly took in her surroundings. The room was large, dull, lit only by artificial light - no windows, Rani thought, so no one could spy on the meeting through them.
The room was decorated thinly - a long table with several chairs around it stood in the centre of the room, and upon a small table nearby was some water and a few cups, from which, Rani supposed, the soon to gather Elite Team could refresh themselves. Well, she didn't plan to be taking a drink anytime soon - hot and dry was the prefered condition for the kindling of fire, and as she had not yet learned any fire attacks, she thought it best not to douse any embers that could possibly be beginning to light in her belly.
Upon the wall was a rather large map of what Rani took to be the local region, and she would study it in detail later - but for now it wasn't the map that required her attention; it was the small, blue Pokemon that was looking at her, and probably had been for some time.
"Good day, Wooper," she greeted with an air of pride and prejudice she hadn't quite managed to dispell yet.

  • Name: Barret

    Gender: Male

    Species: Riolu

Appearance: Barret looks like a normal jackal-like Riolu. He's also a bit shorter than some, but he's not exceptionally short. The fur on his torso is white instead of black; his eyes are yellow and he has a scar under his right one. He wears a red flame-designed scarf, though some might say it's just tattered, that is orange-yellow at the end. The scarf covers his mouth and a necklace in the shape of a lightning bolt. The end of it usually touches the ground when he's not walking or running. He also wears knee high fur leggings and elbow-length fur armbands. There are cuts in the arm bands to not cover the round bumps on his forearm.

Personality: Barret is very odd Pokemon. Normally he's energetic, jumpy, fun-loving, and always looking for something fun to do. He's not the one to sit down and wait for things to happen, much rather preferring to go out and get things started. Being the ADHD kid he is Barret will sometimes get distracted from what he's currently doing and he tends to get very sleep when someone starts to lecture about something.
He tends to be sarcastic at times but not in a rude way…most of the time. He's really polite and respectable, but he is still subject to anger. In fact, he can become angered or frustrated quite easily. However he's quick to forget, so he usually doesn't stay mad long if the matter isn't something very important. He loves hanging out with people, avoiding the life of a lone wolf, and isn't afraid to stand up for them. Somewhat mischievous, he plays a few pranks on his friends for a good laugh while making sure to not overdo something and actually hurt feelings.

History: Barret was born to an Infernape and Lucario in the outskirts of Treasure City. Growing up with both parents and two siblings, both chimchars, Barret lived a pretty normal life. His Infernape father taught kids martial arts at a nearby dojo and his mom was part of Treasure City's Police Force. He spent a lot of town running around the outskirts of Treasure City with his brothers. Their parents had specifically instructed them to not go into the city because of its high crime rate. Barret had no problem with the rule since he found the outskirts to be more interesting than the city.

At school Barret was your average student. He made good grades that made his parents happy, but he really didn't find school all that fun. Some of the classes usually put him to sleep with the long lectures. The only two classes that he actually paid any attention in were history, biology and chemistry. The main reason he paid attention in history was the result of his fascination with exploration teams. He had fallen in love with hearing about the battles and adventures that the pokemon of the past had gone on and he even found himself to be envious of them. Biology and chemistry were also classes that he found fun for the reason of doing labs and having a hands-on-experience.

When he and his brothers got older his parents decided to try and teach them how to fight properly. Being a family of fighting-types it wasn't so hard learning the movements, the problem was the power control. His two brothers, who were monfernos at the time, had an easy time controlling their energy and using attacks such as flame wheel. They were even on the level of being able to combine their physical attacks with their fire power in attacks such as blaze kick and fire punch. Riolu, not being a fire type, couldn't use these types of attacks. His mother had tried to teach him how to control his aura, but, as all Riolus and Lucarios know, it wasn't possible until he evolved. Instead he was forced to rely on regular physical attacks. Even though he was greatly sadden by the fact, thus pushing him further away from the point of evolving, he continued to train in hope that he would one day evolve and be as great as his parents and brothers.

In Darkrai's escape, Barret's mom had gotten injured and thus she was unable to join the Elite Force that the town was putting together to recapture the convict. The position was then passed on to his father who refused, stating that he had to take care of his wife. He recommended that the spot be passed on to one of his sons and Barret was the first one to accept. His brothers weren't happy about it and questioned Barret's ability to be a good addition to the team, but their father sternly agreed with Barret joining the force. He saw it as a great opportunity for Barret to increase his skills and as something that may satisfy the boy's desire for adventure.

Kreep walked along the deserted hallway, his pace at a steady walk. The lights above hurt his eyes, so he kept his sight at the floor, feeling a little embarrassed as a drop of his saliva hit the floor. Stupid mouth... Kreep refocused his thoughts, trying to pay attention at the task at hand. He was to go to the second door. The left, right? The bellsprout stopped for a second, taking the time to wipe some of the saliva from his mouth with his broad leaf. After a quick glance, Kreep realized he had walked too far. Slowly turning around, he made sure to pay more attention this time. After backtracking for a bit, Kreep prominently walked strait into the door. "Fglarg!" he roared, bouncing back from the small impact. He really needed to focus more. "Sharight, fis ish it," he muttered to himself, this time actually opening the door before walking forward. In front of him was a proud looking growlithe and a wooper. The rest of the room wasn't really notible, and Kreep didn't really want to waste time with details. Rather than talking, he waited for one of the others to speak first. He knew it would happen sooner or later, but he didn't want to let his speach problem be known just yet. Instead, he walked over to the table at the far side of the room and got some water to drink. However, he regretted this when he realized it would make his saliva even worse. Some way to start things off... Grrr...

  • "Hmmm..." Barl moved down the hall deliberately, marking the doors until he found the right one. He stared at it, thinking over the directions again to be sure, then went through, pushing the door out of the way with his nose.

There was a Wooper in here, and a Bellsprout, and an Arcanine as well, and Barl nodded to them all. "Hello," he said. He didn't feel the need to add anything more, and they were all nearby map, anyway.

He moved over to the table, pushed a chair out and scrambled up onto it, settling down to wait. The map on the wall was kind of pretty, and it probably had something to do with why they were here, but Barl would wait until he knew more before studying anything.

Maybe this all had something to do with his special training. But he'd never seen these two before. Would he have to fight them, maybe, for sparring? He didn't know for the Growlithe--they were the same, partly at least. There was supposed to be fire in them both, he knew that. But there was ground in him, he knew that too, he remembered feeling it once when he'd been out of the city, walking on bare dirt.

Plants liked dirt too. They had roots that went right down into it, even if plant-pokemon sometimes walked on them, like this one did. He wasn't too sure how plants did fighting, though. But he knew grass would grown inside cracks in the pavement, and vines on a wall could break it down if it grew big enough. So it wasn't like plants were weak.

Woopers were watery though. They were built like they were meant for swimming. Barl hated swimming, but he sank like a stone, and it made his hump cold and heavy. He'd fallen into a canal when he was young, and he never wanted to do that again. Maybe that meant a Wooper would do good fighting fire, just like regular water doused it. Barl thought this Wooper looked excitable. Or nervous? Should he be nervous too? He wasn't. They'd told him to come here, so he must be the right pokemon for the job. And these ones had to be, too, or they wouldn't be here either.

(EDIT: Whoops, Kreep's there now too! ::adjusts::)
(OOC: I am like a million times more curious for what's next than Barl, lol. Just to be clear!)

  • Rokan had never felt so uncertain in her entire life. Always, her path had been illuminated for her. When she was young, she believed herself destined to be a contest Vulpix, as her mother had been. When she grew old enough to realize she simply did not want to do that, she became a police officer. But what had possessed her superiors to suggest her for the mighty task of capturing Darkrai and his companion Kara didn't come to her. There were fantastic stories of an age where Pokemon knew attacks, using them instead of the modern guns to fight. But that age of glory was over, and she knew she stood no chance against the legendary monster, who was surely of a level far beyond anything she would ever achieve in her natural lifetime. And there was no doubt in her mind that Darkrai had been tutoring Kara, teaching her his art. So how was it the Treasure City Police Department intended to bring him down? With their contraptions of metal and gunpowder, designed to fire small projectiles at high speeds for long distances? That was lovely, but Darkrai could fire a beam of pure energy twice as far as a gun, with twice as much force.

All the same, when asked to take the assignment Rokan had not refused. She was known for being unwilling to shirk her duties, no matter what they may be. And if she, along with a number of other elite officers, were supposed to bring him to justice than she would play as big a part as possible in it. That was exactly why when she readied herself for work that morning she paid extra attention to the curls between her ears, the way her forelock rested against her forehead, and the neatness of her silver chain around her neck. Today, she would be meeting with the other officers, to get the briefing on the case, she supposed. It was important to her to make a good impression, especially being a Vulpix, a species known for being timid and good for little but beauty queens. She always had to strive twice as hard to prove herself, to prove that she wasn't just some fox, and she never would be. But it was worth it to her. Besides that, her appearance sometimes gave her the upper hand when pursuing a suspect. They would never expect a little Vulpix to be so tenacious, so they drop their guard, giving her just enough time to take them down.

At the present moment she was going down the hallway leading to the room she had been told, glancing at each of the doors in turn. Which one was the right one? She wasn't horrible at following directions, but they had been poor ones, difficult to adhere to. She may have been left wandering forever if she hadn't caught sight of a Numel slipping into one of the rooms. It was a valid chance, so she followed him, and was pleased to find that it most likely was indeed the correct room.

She entered proudly and said nothing to no one just yet. Instead she went straight to one of the chairs at the table and hopped up into it, sitting straight backed as she waited for the arrival of others. Who the leader of this would be, she was curious to find out. Who was brave enough to lead a hunt for Darkrai?

Mack had already known the news on Darkrai's evil intentions and about the new elite force being formed. But what was really unusual was that while Mack was working in the power plant, the manager came and gave it a message from the police chief, saying that a meeting will be held about the matters of Darkrai and Kara, and that he is to attend it. Mack never had thought that someone as weak as him be part of this whole plan.

Knowing what to do, Mack immediately followed the chief's orders and went to the police station. It never spent much time there, so it never what it was all like. Upon entering, it was momentarily distracted with its own thoughts, for the fact that it now has a very important job to do had it feel rather uneasy. The chief was waiting for it to come up the front desk and give him the instructions. The instructions he gave were quite vague and left Mack in confusion. But without question, it entered the halls and scanned around the doors. It used it's detecting abilities to check each door (there were a lot of doors). Most of them were silent, until at one door, it sensed the sounds and movements of other Pokémon and reached for the knob. But upon reaching it, Mack got its own hands caught to the knob, which caused a sudden 'clink' noise. Without hesitation, Mack quickly opened up the door and found that five others were already seated around the long table. Mack was so distracted with the others that he forgot to let go of the knob, which had-for a moment-Mack pull himself out of the magnetic grasp. You may think it was an embarrassing moment, but the others didn't seem to pay much attention to it. Without any words, Mack quietly hovered over to an open chair (the one closest to the map on the wall) and took its seat. Mack was curious both about the map, and that the others were curious about it too.

  • Shierk looked around when he came across a door. "Hellll-o?" he asked. "Anyone here?" When there was no reply, he went into the room. there we go. There were a bunch more oficers in here. Shierk went up to their chief and said, "Uh hi. I was entered to go find Darkrai, my name is Shierk, but everyone calls me sparx." The chief not even looking at him, pulled out a list and started moving down the list saying names as he went. "umm here we go. it's spelled S-H-I-E-R-K right?" shierk nodded smiling. the officer motioned towards a door in the back. "just go through the door, the others are waiting." The small elekid went to the door and opened it, seeing his fellow recruits inside.

As shierk walked into the room, he confirmed and counted that there were 5 pokemon inside, a bellsprout, a growlithe, a magnemite, a numel and a wooper. he smiled at the five and sat down saying "Hi my name's Shierk, but you can call me sparx. Shierk waited with his fellow recruits for more people to come in.

  • Name: Captain Michael "Deadeye" Cassatt (a.k.a. Pvt. Alexei Borodin)
    Gender: Male
    Species: Buizel

Appearance: In times past, Michael "Deadeye" Cassatt was a tall, imposing character daring to top six feet four inches; unlike most of the human population of his era, he carried with his person a coat of tawny fur in most places, completed by socks of black fur on his forearms, hands, lower legs and feet along with a downy snow-white layer of very clean and well-kept fur that touched at what passed as his chin (the tip of his muzzle) and reached down, washing over his strong chest and abdomen.

Eyes sharper than daggers of diamond peered out from over his short, tapered muzzle, their coloration reminiscent of glaciers; their chilling, icy sonic-blue glare was at times enough to make a man cower where he stood, and yet, the brooding composure of the fox's strong form combined with his unbreakable calm was always something the men he commanded had admired. His sharp stare was commanding and authoritative, like staring into the eyes of the General.

Below his hairless, furry head and his pointed black-tipped ears, scars of various natures and origins lay buried in his large, muscular frame; some from gunshot wounds, others from blades of varying lengths and thicknesses, and some more still it appeared were from being stabbed directly inward by several differing implements. And beyond this, his downy white fur still painted over that long and painful road that had been etched into him, as if his body were trying consciously to hide the pain. But the one thing that he couldn't hide would be the fact that he was missing his last joint to his left ring-finger.

That was what he could have looked like four years ago.

Now, he stands a diminutive three feet tall, which is still a bit taller than normal for the average Buizel; his eyes retain their icy, chilling glare, accompanied by their cool sonic-blue coloration. However, his otter-like body has lost most if not all of it's original muscle and bulk, along with all of his beautiful fur, replaced by what can only be described as a rubber wetsuit of sorts. The smooth, orange-and-pale complexion of his flesh could be compared to that of his original body.

One of the last things to remain true to his previous manifestation would be the slash scar running from his right pectoral down to just past the left side of his abdomen; it is unsure what the origins of this scar are from, due to Michael's unwillingness to tell anyone, but some in his previous life had speculated that he'd once been trained with a sword of some kind and this scar was the result. Michael does not feed nor condone these rumors.

Notably, Michael carries with him a light, black-weave Kevlar combat vest complete with various pouches and pockets to hold various kinds of equipment should he necessitate it, along with a tough, sturdy combat belt of the same color from which a holster on his left hip hangs; within is a custom Colt .45 Series 80 (M1911), fitted with a heavy trigger in excess of 12 pounds required to pull.

Personality: Michael was never much of a talker in his past manifestation, choosing moreso to pass on talking to family and friends due in part to the fact that he is actually incredibly shy. He is the kind of person that refuses to take credit for anything he does, attributing his uncanny military success to the men around him, and that he was "just following orders". Beyond this, Michael is very submissive to superiors, the mindset of purity and subservience engrained in his mind at birth, in part from the instinctual animalistic subconscious inherited from his species.

Now, he is much the same, keeping very quiet unless spoken to, and always ready to take orders from someone. He is something of a lost soldier, with no flag to fight for and no country to defend.

History: In his previous life, Michael had come from an abusive father (who had been stationed in Moscow at the time) and an emotionally absent mother, and at age 18 he decided it was for the best that he join the armed forces to escape his home life. Very quickly he progressed through the ranks through dilligent training and unyielding devotion to his flag and fortune, where others had given up in the heat of battle. It was rumored around his home base that he'd successfully fended off well over a hundred enemy troops on his own as his squad abandoned their posts, fleeing in fear of the enemy's large numbers.

Michael is still not sure to this day how he came to be a part of this new world inhabited solely by Pokemon, but he cares little for his previous life. He believes he would never have made any kind of grandeur for himself from a military life, and he instead chooses to sign himself into this new world and try to live his life a second time, hopefully with a little more finesse than his previous ventures.

To be quite frank, it was his subservient nature and his willingness to follow an allegiance that led him to Treasure City, where he quickly signed himself into a new and budding police force with intent to stop... Something. He wasn't really sure what they were trying to kill or destroy or capture or whatever, because he honestly wasn't paying attention. He carries with him 22 years of previous combat experience under extreme conditions with the Russian armed forces in his previous career, which could easily be put to good use in a police squad.

...He dare not tell anyone how he became so skilled, however. Not only does he not remember most of his last life, but imagine the outlash! "What in the world is a fox?"; "What is 'Russia' ?" ; "What is 'Krav Maga' ?" ; "What is 'Spetsnaz' ?", et cetera. He keeps to himself on the subject, and seeks only to blend in with everyone else, and reject the fact that in some right, he is "special" in the right that he was once the embodiment of another person.

  • Now five other Pokemon had entered pretty soon after one another, and all had remained silent apart from the last, a young male Elekid. Rani's proud upbringing couldn't help but nag her into silently thinking that most of the other Pokemon were pretty, well... Normal. She had expected other noble and famous Pokemon species, if she was honest with herself. Vulpix, she could understand, for Ninetales were among the most beautiful and noble of all Pokemon, and even the small Elekid could one day grow into a fine Electivire (though Electabuzz were also quite fine specimens) despite its drastic type advantage.
As for the other Pokemon... The frankly common Bellsprout didn't seem like it knew what to do with itself, the Magnemite was quite weird and the Numel looked awfully shifty. The Wooper had arrived first; perhaps it was to be their leader? Rani couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about being led by this odd looking creature, especially against an enemy as awesome as Darkrai.
Still, if it was to be so, there was nothing she could do about it, and she reminded herself (as she had needed to do a lot recently) that just because she would one day become a fine Arcanine, it didn't make her better than the other Pokemon. She needed to be tolerant and friendly, and not allow petty prejudice to cloud her judgement about what she was certain were other fine citizens prepared to risk their lives in a battle against Darkrai, should they ever find him.
So she steeled herself to become a more social and welcoming figure, and smiled at the other members of the team. Not having a humanoid anatomy, Rani didn't want to sit on a chair, and she was too bored to sit around anyway. Instead she headed towards the door and towards the Elekid that had just entered. Since he seemed the most social out of all the Pokemon in the room, he was the perfect start for her plan to become more friendly.
"Greetings, Shierk- Sparx – sorry. I suppose I should introduce myself to you lot, too." She glanced at the others seated nearby. "My name is Rani, and I'm..." She stopped as she suddenly realised how small she seemed when the other Pokemon around her sat on seats – she was only a small Pokemon, after all, and it suddenly dawned on her just how small she really was. "Your fellow recruit..." she finished meekly, her voice almost becoming inaudible. Suddenly feeling deeply ashamed for how quickly she had judged all the other Pokemon despite being so small herself, she meekly sat on her hind legs (the way canines do) and allowed her head to droop.
