Jake walked across the ruined floors of the building, trying to find something, anything. He began organizing for possible clues as to where they could possibly have come for. Suddenly, Miharu appeared to find something.

"Everyone, investigate by themselves please," stated Miharu. "I need concentration for this task."

She was typing and concentrating on the computer. Jake nodded and went off looking for other possible leads. He rattled through papers. It was clear on one thing, they wanted knowledge on something, something only they had. Jake couldn't help but think there was more going on then first meets the eye. Team Ghost was purposed with finding means of causing mayhem, and taking over things.

They could be doing so with Pokemon, perhaps legendaries. Jake thought to himself. The powers of legendary Pokemon have been exploited many times in the past. He thought he had some lead. He looked through paper upon paper before he was startled by Miharu breaking apart the computer she was on.

"That was necessary and not a temper tantrum," she said. Jake just stared. She must have found something.

"It seemed that the director knows more than he let on." Miharu sighed. "That will be all the information that I can give anyone; this is extremely classified and by just knowing I could be captured, or possibly killed. I am going to disappear for a bit; Jake-san knows what to do."

Just like that, she was gone in a flash of light.

Jake couldn't say anything before she was gone. Apparently, she had found something, something that put her in danger. He hoped she would be alright.

    Technophobia much?

    -----

I watched as Miharu sat down at a computer, and I was about to ask what she was doing, until she spoke. "Everyone, investigate by themselves please," she stated. "I need concentration for this task." I turned and started to search for clues. Sadly, I was clueless on where to search for clues, and no clues surfaced, so I guess I was clueless, in two ways at that.

"Well, those people did seem a bit cliche," I muttered as I remembered the little incident in Slateport. "So, perhaps they're going to do something completely and utterly cliche, like go after the legendary weather trio or something." I sighed, my little guess based on zero evidence was all I had.

About an hour later, I turned to see Miharu smashing the computer. Even when computers annoyed me, I never really resorted to smashing them. "That was necessary and not a temper tantrum," Miharu stated in an attempt to explain. "It seemed that the director knows more than he let on." Miharu sighed, "That will be all the information that I can give anyone; this is extremely classified and by just knowing I could be captured, or possibly killed. I am going to disappear for a bit; Jake-san knows what to do." Before I could say anything, and I had quite a bit to say, Miharu had disappeared. I turned to Jake.

"So, apparently Jake-san knows what to do?" I asked, "So does he wish to share what it is he knows to do?" I asked as I crossed my arms and tapped my foot impatiently. A little info would be nice right about now.

Jake looked over at Sierra, who was speaking. He hadn't known she was there, so he was a bit startled. He took in her appearance, from her blue eyes to her light blue beanie and hoodie to match. Jake smiled a her.

"Oh, Sierra. Nice to see you again. Miharu was just talking about me personally, in case something happens to her. I don't think she meant that I knew what to do..." He scratched the back of his head, laughing a bit.

"To tell you the truth, I don't really know what to do, about the whole Team Ghost situation. In reality, there isn't much we CAN do. They have made a move, but not a move we can respond to. Sure, I guess we can all go around searching for some more info on team Ghost, but as of now, it might be better to just go about your main Gym Leading tasks. At least until we figure out what Team Ghost is planning. You can all look for info on Team Ghost on the side."

Jake remembered the new set of high-potential trainers who headed out of New Bark. They were special, and it was the gym leader's duties to help them get better. So it also meant the Champion should offer a helping hand.

"We best stay out of the radar for now. You all know my PokeGear if anything happens." He wondered if Miharu was alright. He hoped she was, but if anything forbid were to happen to her, he had made the necessary arrangements in Mauvile.

"Take care, everyone. I guess I'll head off to Petalburg City, meet an old friend to take me to Dewford. Best not fly in that region to attract too much attention." He had heard of a lot of Team Ghost activity around that region, and ever since Team Ghost's activities have been across Hoenn, not everywhere was safe to fly anymore.

Jake took off on Salamence, heading discretely towards Petalburg City.

    First day at work

    Matt Parsons
    Fortree Gym Leader

Matt's Lucario helped him carry the bed into the treehouse where Matt would be living now. Lucario put the bed down and laid down on it. Matt was relieved to see that his Pokemon seemed to be stress-free. Matt on the other hand, was stressed about his new job as Gym Leader. He had heard about the previous Gym Leader of Fortree City, and what had happened to him, but Matt told himself to shrug it off. You don't have to replace him, just do your thing Matt thought. He directed for Lucario to wait outside for him, but Lucario playfully jumped on Matt and started to climb on his shoulder. " Your too big for that now" shouted Matt. The Lucario jumped down and motioned to go outside. Matt went outside with his Lucario and made their way to the Gym. As Matt and his Lucario walked through town to the Gym, he received a few glances from the townsfolk. Just get used to it Matt thought. Matt opened the door and before he could stroll in, Lucario ran through the door and playfully bounced around the Gym. He let out the rest of his Pokemon and started to set up the Gym for opening. Where's the Designer at Matt pondered. Suddenly, a door opened and a man came hurrying in. This guy wasn't of a grand stature, but was dressed quite fashionably. "Sorry for the Tardiness" the Man apologized. "Allow me to Introduce myself, I am Vincent Trandeau, Interior Designer" the Man said. " Matt Parsons, Gym Leader" Matt retorted. " So, how should we start" questioned Vincent. " Well.." Stuttered Matt, " Start with covering the floors in Titanium flooring" Matt answered. " Well start there." " Anything in mind for the walls" Vincent asked. " Whatever looks good with the flooring, after all you are the Interior Designer not me" Matt replied. " Ok" Vincent stammered. " I will start today." Matt sighed and motioned his Pokemon to walk outside. Matt walked out and closed the door, feeling a sensation of a new adventure.

    Back to Slateport...

    -----

"Oh, Sierra. Nice to see you again. Miharu was just talking about me personally, in case something happens to her. I don't think she meant that I knew what to do..." Wait, i'd been here for about an hour and he hadn't noticed me? Wow.

"Oh. Darn. I was hoping for something useful about Team Ghost."

You can all look for info on Team Ghost on the side." Well, I guess that meant it was time to go back to Slateport.

"We best stay out of the radar for now. You all know my PokeGear if anything happens." Jake said, "Take care, everyone. I guess I'll head off to Petalburg City, meet an old friend to take me to Dewford. Best not fly in that region to attract too much attention." With that, Jake took off on his Salamence.

"I'd best be going then." I muttered as I walked over to the ocean, where I would have to surf back to Slateport. If only there was an Ice and Flying-type pokemon I could use, but at the moment I only knew of Articuno. I let out Aurora and jumped onto her back. She gladly took off, back to home. "Maybe I should have brought Hexia..." I mumbled, realizing it would have been much easier to teleport.

    *****

After a long while of surfing, I was back in Slateport, staring at about nine tied up grunts. They were all of the grunts that I had frozen earlier, and they had thawed while I was gone. Luckily, the townspeople had been waiting and they had eagerly tied them up. "Oh, bother. Now what am I to do with you?" I pondered the idea for a moment, before I decided to head back to the gym.

I ran back as fast as I could and into the yard. In the yard all of the baby pokemon were playing, and there were plenty of baby Spheal and Seal, courtesy of Dewdrop and Reyn. I checked up on them all and played with them for a little while, before I decided to call Jake.

"Hey Jake," I said into the Xtranceiver on my wrist, among other things, like a Poketch. I had called Jake on his Pokegear to ask about the grunts. "I just realized that I have nine Team Ghost grunts here, and i'm not sure what to do with them. Any ideas?"

All was peaceful in little Dewford Town, from the calming sound of the ocean to the small talk among fishermen of the area. "Look at 'em, prancin' around without a care in the world, we can't have that, now can we?" Agro complained to his Tropius from it's back. The grunts had been assigned to cause some chaos throughout Hoenn, and one of the nicer places seemed like a good place to start. "Why don't we mix things up a little here," He said before leaping off his mount. Mid-fall, he released his Aggron and his partner Machamp, and the three of them crashed through the roof of a small house. Their landing shook the ground and Agro kicked the door off it's hinges with a bellow. "Listen up! This is my town now, and if there are any objections, please address them to me personally!" He donned his characterizing grin. "Now, Aggron, Machamp, Smash this place to bits." The Pokemon gladly obeyed, tearing down the nearest homes.

Agro gave a hearty laugh, which was soon stopped cold by what he saw approaching. It was the rest of the team of grunts assigned to assist him, arriving late. He grabbed the first one to reach him by the neck, robbing him of his air. "I told you to go back," Groaned Agro, annoyed that they defied him. He hurled his inferior into a broken wall, despite them being the same rank. "You'd better not get in my way, and you know very well what's gonna happen if you do." He held his grin, but he had murder in his eyes.

The lackey struggled to regain his air, but managed to sputter out, "Th-there have been reports...saying several other squads have already been defeated." He took a deep breath, savoring the air filling his lungs once more. "Apparently powerful gym leaders arrived and wiped them out in an instant. Some of them were even captured!"

"Do you honestly think I care? Why dont'cha shut up and enjoy the party, eh?" With that, he left to join his Pokemon in the destruction, hoping the Dewford gym leader would come out soon and make things a little more fun.

Jake landed in Petalburg City. He would meet with an old friend who would take him to Dewford from here by boat. He'd rather not take Salamence, it was too risky. Just then, he was contacted on his PokeGear.

"Hello? Jake here." It was Sierra. "Oh Sierra, what's up?" She explained about the grunts.

"What? I didn't know you had any grunts..." Jake thought for a moment. He was thinking of getting some information from them.

"I say hold them in the Slateport Prison, and if you can, get some information from them on what Team Ghost was doing in Ever Grande City. I doubt they would know, because they are just Grunts, but still, it's worth asking them. Let me know if anything else is up. Take care."

Jake hung up the phone. He walked into Petalburg. He recalled a long time ago when he was a rookie trainer and he was going through this town for the first time.

Ah, the memories, he thought to himself, with a smile on his face. He walked through town. Everything seemed alright over here. He decided he would make his way over to his friend who was on Route 104. Heading through town, he headed for the PokeMart, and bought some supplies for the road. Then he made his way to Route 104.

    Settling in to Fortree

    Matt Parsons:
    Fortree Gym Leader

Matt returned to his tree house, alongside his Pokemon. Matt decided that the small Hut was too plain for his liking, and that a trip to the department store in Lilycove was a good idea. Matt walked outside and whistled for his Skarmory. Skarmory heard this whistle and swooped down to the treehouse and perched on the branch. " Skarmory use fly" Matt exclaimed.

Soon, Matt was in the air on the way to Lilycove. It didn't take long for Skarmory to land in Lilycove. Matt safely touched down and he put Skarmory back in it's Pokeball. Where is the store, Matt wondered. Since the change in Pokemon League format, Lilycove was quite a larger City. Matt found the department store and casually walked in. More awkward glances were given to Matt. He walked up to the register and asked where the furniture was. " Fifth floor" the cashier cheerfully answered. Matt walked over to the elevator, observing the wide selection of Trainer Goods were available for purchase. He stepped in the elevator and requested to go to the fifth floor.Once the elevator did it's chime to let you know your at your destination, Matt walked out and towards the aisles.

Matt returned to Fortree with a new TV and a couch. He set it up in his home, of course with the help of Lucario. That is of couse, when Matt awoke in a field. Just a dream?

Ethan looked around the thrashed Gym Leader's Headquarters. He had no clue whatsoever on what Team Ghost was after.

He suddenly heard a fragment of his ringtone for his Pokegear. He to see what was the message that was sent to him. He read that Team Ghost attacked the majority of the gyms. Littleroot luckily was largely unaffected as the gym is still under construction. Seeing nothing else he can do, he left the headquaters with Kaiser.

After arriving at the Pokemon Centre outside of the Evergrande City, Ethan decided to spend some time taking a rest by watching the television placed inside the building. There was another article about the roaming Pokemon but a few pictures were taken. The pictures were mostly blurred up and they didn't look like Pokemon native to Hoenn. The Gym Leader, deciding that he will have to catch at least one of them to prevent misuse by Team Ghost quickly left.

When Miharu appeared at her destination, she blinked. She had went to Dewford Town, but saw it swarming with Team Ghost members. She sighed slightly, where was the gym leader?

She started roaming the town, undetected, until a random Team Ghost grunt managed to stumble upon her in the backways.

"Go back to your house, this town has been completely taken over by Team Ghost!" stated the grunt firmly. "If you try to resist me, you shall be defeated ea-"

He was caught off when Bishamon chopped him on the back of the neck. As he fell into the black abyss, he realized that he never saw Miharu grab her pokeball.

Miharu sighed slightly. Well, as long as she was here...

    ---

Several grunts later, she managed to stumble upon who seemed to be the one who was leading the attacks. Miharu raised an eyebrow and sighed.

Bishamon, Brick Break on that Aggron.

Bishamon teleported above Aggron and used that momentum to slam his fists on Aggron's head. With the velocity and the quad-supereffective move, the Aggron landed on his side; fainted.

    Return.

Bishamon teleported back to Miharu's side as she smirked at the Aggron's owner.

"Shall we play?" she taunted. "I will assure Team Ghost Grunt-san that he will lose."

    ----

If you want me to delete Bishamon defeating the Aggron so quickly, then tell me...Or you could just use a revive on Aggron; Miharu would let you. :P

"I will assure Team Ghost Grunt-san that he will lose," stated the new arrival who had just defeated his Aggron.

Agro burst out laughing. After calming down, he said, with a grin, "Agro Merikh, how ya doin', and you are?" He paused for a second before remembering she was his enemy. "Whatever. I gotta say though, I'm impressed. Since his training, not a single fighting-type has been able to take down Aggron so quickly." He sent out his Swellow. "But it won't happen again*. Swellow, get me some medicine or fetch the nurse. Machamp, you're up, let's go." Machamp stepped forward, tightening a red sash he wore around his waist. Agro turned to the intruder with a wide grin. "I can already tell this is gonna be fun. By the way, Machamp never misses**. Dynamic Punch!"

Machamp charged after the Gallade, all four of his fists becoming surrounded by a bluish-white aura. He as he punched at it with one, keeping the others prepared for if it decided to teleport, as this was not the first time he had fought one.

"What? I didn't know you had any grunts..." I doubt they would know, because they are just Grunts, but still, it's worth asking them. Let me know if anything else is up. Take care."

I hesitated for a slight moment. "Okay, i'll do that." I ended the call and headed back to the town square, where the grunts were located. When I got their, I immediately let out Zero and Woolly. The pokemon got on either side of the tied-up grunts and escorted them to prison. I then surveyed the damage one more time, and let out Yeti, Grace, Frost, Flurry, Brutus, Hexia, and Snowflake to help with damage control.

I followed the grunts to the jail, and when we arrived, I sent each one of them into a separate room for interrogation. I entered the first room, and sent police officers into every other room.

"Zero, come with me." I said as I walked through the door. Zero did the same a few seconds later. I slammed the door behind him and wheeled around on the grunt. "So, why is it your colleagues attacked Ever Grande City?" The man stared at me, or at the ground, I wasn't sure because of the angle his head was tilted. "Huh?" He muttered something under his breath. "I'm sorry?"

"I said that I. Don't. Know." Well, that's what Jake had predicted, but I wasn't going to let him go that easily.

"Are you sure that you don't know?"

"Yes. I'm sure." He replied, not bothering to even raise his head and look at me.

"Really? Because Zero here wouldn't mind freezing you again. And this time you might not thaw out." I motioned to Zero and he bared his fangs.

"I. DON'T. KNOW!" He nearly yelled as he raised his head. I decided to believe him for now.

"Well, i'll be leaving, but you won't anytime soon." I turned and walked out of the room with Zero following me. I gave the officers a nod, they reported all of the information they found out; which was, of course, nothing. I left and went back to the gym as I waited for either a challenger or some news.

With the velocity, yes it can be counted as a critical hit.
And yes, abilities do come into play. Although, I'm not sure what ability that is. (researches, comes back, blinks) Well, wow. I need a Machamp. O.O

    ---

Miharu raised an eyebrow. "Well I guess this just is not Grunt-san's lucky day." With what the grunt hinted, it meant that Machamp had the No Guard ability. However, she also had a way around that.

    Teleport, Psychic.

Bishamon teleported away, as Miharu jumped away from Machamp (after all, Bishamon was right next to Miharu) and he reappeared on a rooftop. After appearing, he immediately focused his psychic powers on Machamp, causing it to stop in its tracks.

Miharu's mind went over several different scenarios in an instant. If Machamp manages to break out of the Psychic and hits the building Bishamon is on...teleport back to Bishamon's pokeball.

Jake lazily walked through the Route towards his friend's house. His friend Zack had inherited a boat from an old sailor a while back, and now he makes frequent sails to Slateport and Dewford. Jake walked until he saw a house, which is where he lived. The place was a mess. If they didn't know the guy was a complete slob, it would look like the house was robbed or vandalized.

Jake walked in, seeing his friend sleeping on the floor, literally all kinds of thing lying around. He poked at him with a stick he had found outside. The man on the floor twitched and moved away. He had messy brown hair, a hawaiian shirt, and brown shorts. Jake walked across the room until he found a bucket. Grabbing it, he walked outside and filled it with seawater. He took the filled bucket and dumped it on his head. The young man instantly awoke, started. He took a few looks around, and turned to Jake while talking.

"What the hell!? Who do you think you are coming in and dumpi-" He noticed it was Jake. "-Well if it isn't Jake!" He gave him a hug. "How are you doing, champ? What brings you to these parts?"

Jake hugged him back, getting himself wet.

"Hey Zack! I need a boat to Dewford. Think you can provide?"

"Sure thing, Jake! I've been bored out of my mind here anyways! I'll take you right away." They both headed outside towards the boat. Zack was a friend of Jakes from way back. He used to be a fierce Pokemon Trainer as well, possibly a contender for Champion, but gave it all up one day. Now, he's a simple sailor. Jake hopped on the boat, followed by Zack.

    "Next stop, Dewford Town!"

Zegan sits in his office, looking over the paper's he stole from the Gym Leader's Headquarters. "Sir! I have some bad news!" yelled one of the grunts, rushing in. "What is it? Don't tell me our project has encounter any problems." he said, angry that he had been interrupted. "N-no sir, every thing's going smoothly." the grunt said, with fear in his voice. "Its about the attacks on the Gym Leaders city's. The unit assigned to Slateport has been captured! What should we do?!" the grunt yelled. "You'll do nothing. I'll go there myself. I need to find Yuumei anyway." he said getting up and walking towards the grunt. "Look after the base. Also, if I'm not back, tell Argo to train the new recruits. Understood?" "Y-yes sir!" the grunt said, bowing and running off. Zegan then sets off to wards the base entrance.

When he reaches the entrance, he was stopped by one of his scientist. "Sir, the machine for creating Shadow Pokémon is complete. Shall we test it to make sure it works properly?" "Yes, and while your at it, make another machine to purify them as well, and then test it out." Zegan ordered. "But sir, wouldn't that defeat the purpose of making Shadow Pokémon?" the scientist asked. "Are you disobeying a direct order from me?" he said, with anger in his voice. "N-n-no s-s-s-sir! I'll get right on it!" the scientist yelled, bowing quickly, and running off towards the lab. Now then... he thought, walking out of the base. "Lets go Salamence." he said, throwing his poke ball. With a roar, Salamence appeared, and Zegan hoped onto its back. "We're going to Slateport city. Lets go!" he yelled, and they flew off to wards Slate port, while he thought about who it was who caught some of his grunts.

After couple of hours later... "Here it is." Zegan said, flying around Slate port city. After landing and putting Salamance back into its pokeball, he looked around only to find some houses were destroyed. Useless grunts. They didn't even destroy 1/4 of the city. Argo and Yuumei are the only one i can count on to get things done. he thought while walking through the city, looking for the gym. After a few minutes... "Finally found it." he said, standing at the doors to the gym. Entering, he saw a woman at the far end of a battle field. "Are you the leader of this gym?" he asked. "If so, I wanna have a word with you!" he yelled, walking towards the unknown woman.

Machamp was locked in a powerful psychic attack, but he'd gone through worse. He remembered once in their travels, as a Machoke, Agro had made him fight an Alakazam. He remembered the support his owner gave him to overcome his fear, and his victory through an insane amount of luck and a focus sash. The memories helped him as he built up his inner strength, breaking free of the attack. He glanced at Agro, who nodded in approval.

"Dynamic Punch again Machamp!" yelled out Agro, as the Pokemon's fists glowed once more. This time, though, he slammed the ground with all four light-covered fists, making a makeshift earthquake. He was hoping to force "Bishamon" off it's perch on a building to a vulnerable place in the air. The earth shook as Machamp prepared another Dynamic Punch, waiting for what happened next.

    Realization

    Matt Parsons:
    Fortree Gym Leader

Matt sat up and looked around at the small field he had found him self in.
Where am I, Matt wondered. He got up and studied the area. This isn't the welcome he expected after living in Vermilion City for two years.
Matt soon recognized the area he was in. Route 115 just north of Rustboro City. He attempted to walk, but after a few paces Matt began to stumble and fall down. While in a dazed state, crumpled on the ground, a curious Skitty began playing with Matt's shoe. The Skitty began grabbing and biting the shoe in an attempt to remove it from Matt's foot. The Skitty succeeded in removing the shoe and began playing with it. Matt crawled over to the Skitty and engaged in a little game of Tug-of-war with the Skitty. The Skitty was focused in in this game Matt had started with it. Matt won the shoe back and Skitty went tumbling back. Skitty went running back into the grass and Matt walked towards Rustboro with a smile on his face.

    The Man

    -----

I had been standing in the gym, waiting for something interesting to happen, and, lo' and behold, some man walked in all angry-like. "Are you the leader of this gym?" He asked, "If so, I wanna have a word with you!" He yelled as he started to walk towards me. I didn't like the look of this guy.

"Yes, I am the leader of this gym." I said, trying to keep the happy attitude a gym leader should have for challengers. I had a feeling this guy wasn't a challenger, but you never knew. "What is it you have to ask of me?" I said questioningly as Zero walked out from behind me.

    Miharu raised an eyebrow. "Predictable."

She smirked as she raised a pokeball, containing Bishamon. "I am afraid that Grunt-san has been fighting a ghost. Whoops.

"Nightmare, Hypnosis. Follow that up with the basic combination."

A shiny Gengar rose from underneath the ground and stared into Machamp's eyes.

"You are getting very sleeeeeeeeeeeepy," Nightmare droned out in human tongue. "Veeeery sleepy indeed..."

Miharu sighed and facepalmed slightly. "Is that really necessary?"

    "No, but it's hilarious. Sleeeeeeeeeeeepy..."

Stopping at the other end of the battle field, Zegan smiles and yells, "I'm Zegan Zoma, Leader of Team Ghost! I wanna have a Pokemon battle! If I win, I get my minions back. If I lose, I'll turn myself in. Can't refuse that now can you? Then he grabbed one of his pokeballs, throws it into the air, and yells, "Lets go Magmortar!" As the Pokemon appears, it grinned, looking as though it has already won. "If you want to step down and give me my minions back, now's the time. I'm not the type to hold back." He said, grinning as well.
