Pretty simple. What's your favorite status infliction to use?

I like to use Poison {Toxic Poison to be specific}.

I prefer when my opponent is asleep, or confused, but I voted "Sleep" anyway.

I like to use Confusion combined with Burn or Poison, so any of those for me :)

I like using (Toxic) poison to make opposing Pokemon suffer slow, painful "deaths." Paralysis comes in close to give my slow attackers a bit of an edge.

It really depends on the situation.

If I'm battling a wild Pokemon or some in-game trainers, my choice would be sleep. Other than that, I would probably have to go with poisoning (still chose sleep in the poll, though).

Attraction and Paralysis are my favorites. It's hilarious to get them paralyzed, then attracted, so two chances that they can't move. I love using that combination on both friends and in-game. I annoy many people with that because Attract is one of those moves that don't really get seen in competitive play.

Well, since paralysis is the one I hate getting nailed with the most, it's only natural that it would be my preferred ailment to use on others. The speed drop is actually the key, especially for some of my slower Pokemon. And unlike sleep, it doesn't wear off by itself in a few turns.

Poison and Paralysis are my favourites to use, as they're completely permanent (unless an antidode/Paralyz Heal are used, obviously). If I had to choose one, it'd be Poison. I use it less than Paralysis-inflicting moves, but it keeps sucking the life out of the opponent, which is very, very advantageous in the heat of battle! :D

Paralysis combined with confusion is one of my favorite "troll" status infliction combos. So I voted for confusion.

Paralysis is just so mean. Not to mention can be combo'ed with several other status aliments for extra annoyance (confusion, flinch, infatuation... the possibilities are endless)

I'd use Burn because my starter is capable of it (It is a Typhlosion). Plus it takes damage and lowers Attack.

I enjoy Infatuating because I think the move Attract looks absolutely beautiful when used in battle x'3 Also it seems to work well for me, the opponent may not be able to move for quite a lengthy sum of time. Also in Mystery Dungeon attracting completely immobilizes the foe for a long time, so it's an absolute killer in that game.

For me it was a tie with Paralyz and Sleep.... I vote sleep, for me works a bit better - and the one I use the most, when it works the opponent might not move for 2-5 times, plenty of time for me to think of a winning strategy.

Poison, especially bad poison. It just works so well and puts you at an unbelievable advantage. Freeze was incredible in Generation I too.

Burn. Same damage as normal poison with the addition of lowering attack, which I'd rather inflict by default than a gradually increasing drain which can be mitigated by switching, ie. bad poison. Other status effects are more chancey than the 75 accuracy of Will-O-Wisp.

Paralysis was my favorite because it was easy to inflict and a turn skipped every so often was enough to last longer not just for a battle but enough to last throughout an entire part of a game. The sad part is that you couldn't use it in caves because rock pokemon are immune to it and caves are the maps that annoy me the most.

It has to be Sleep for me, the amount of times putting a Pokemon to sleep has saved me from blacking out is too high to count.

It has to be a tie between Paralysis and Poison, because both can be a lifesaver in the heat of an intense battle. It can be either of these things that can turn the tables, of course~

Sleep is probably the most helpful. Providing that low accuracy sleep moves hit, and you're not expecting a miraculous 5 turns of perpetual sleep. Although, paralysis is a doozy too.

So probably sleep, with paralysis close behind.

I'm going to have to go with Paralysis as my pick. I love beingable to slow the opponents down gives me an advantage as it doseeveryone else who uses it.

I think that after Whitney I overused Attract waaay too much. But it worked, so I don't really care. :P Its not like I battled competitively.

Poison followed by Sleep followed by Infatuation followed by Burn, but those tend to change depending on the situation at hand. If I'm facing a Pokémon with high attack, burn becomes my favorite. If I'm facing something that has too much HP, poison, etc.

Sleep for me, cos it helped me catch lots of Pokemon. When I need to catch something, I always take something with me that can learn a sleep-inducing move.

Paralysis also helped me in lots of sticky situations, especially if I'm using slow Pokemon. It also helped me catch some Pokemon too.

To use? Burn, because I already use Fire attacks naturally so when Burn procs it's just a pleasant bonus side effect.

To have? Sleep because it has the ability to not last too long and once it's gone, it's gone.

I enjoy using Toxic on the majority of my Pokémon so I'm definitely going with Poison. It slowly whittles away the Pokémon's health leaving them helpless and dying painfully n.n To have used on my though I'd go with Paralysis since most of my Pokémon choices are kinda slow anyway and the not attacking thing doesn't seem to happen too often :p

Paralysis. It lowers the enemy's speed and sometimes immobilizes the enemy. Thunder Wave is a little more accessible than Spore and it's instant, unlike Toxic. So yeah... zap!

I'm honestly not that good a Poison user. I mean it's helpful, though my strategies tend to more at wiping out my opponents fast due to not usually having a tank. Thus, I tend to rely more on Sleep or Paralysis, as those are moves that ensure that'll I get a hit without the opponent necessarily hitting too. Confusion works too at times, with also giving the chance of the opponent doing damage to itself, however it's still not one I tend to use that much.

I like Poison and Sleep the most. You can't go wrong with PoisonPowder and Leech Seed combo! Also Toxic is really good too because it takes away more health than PoisonPowder. When I'm trying to catch legendaries I try to Paralyze them or make them take a nice little nap.

To use? Freeze most definitely, because it's the one that your opponent is least likely to crawl out of alive.

To be used on me? Paralysis, because it's the least debilitating.

Sleep is the most broken without restrictions.
Paralysis is the coolest and useful. Dat speed cut.
Poison is the most annoying ingame.
Burn is the second most useful and great for shutting people down.
Fainted is the worse and I hate it.

hm...I voted for para, cuz cutting da speed of a pokemon and making them not being able to attack is just score for me. Magic Guard blocks gettin' fully para, but speed cut is still just as good. LOL

I woulda said attract, if it wasn't for the fact that it can only be use on the opposite gender; not sayin' anything wrong with that. LOL But that's just one of its flaws.

When you use Toxic it gives you a huge advantage :3, with your strong attacks and the effect of bad poison, enemies faint in no time. Other than that probably paralysis since it's convenient being faster and how sometimes your oppenent can't attack.
