As a young kid at the age of 3, 4, and 5. I grew up watching some TV and played with my toys. At this time (and still to this day) I have been a lover of trains. Steam engines of yesterday, modern super trains of day, they all count. As for growing up, Thomas the Tank Engine was one of my all time favorites and still is to this day, just the audio cue of the famous intro had me glued to the couch as I watched this iconic TV series. Unlike today's GCI version of the series, the original TV airing featured a unique blend of both Lionel trains and claymation (for their faces).
If those who don't know what Thomas is (and if you don't, I am surprised); I'll gladly explain.
Thomas the Tank Engine is a series that covers the tales of Thomas, a blue and red striped 0-6-0 tank engine whom is regarded as a cheeky, and fussy little engine and his friends (Henry, Gordan, James, Edward, Percy, and Toby) as they travel and work on the fictional Isle of Sodor.

The series itself all started back in the 1945 after the second world war as a series of books known as the 'The Railway Series' which featured an amazing 42 books total. The originals being written by renown Wilbert Vere Awdry. I have some of these books and its all a true nostalgia vibe. In 1984, the TV adaption of the books known as 'Thomas and Friends' started and this is a show I completely remember when I saw it in the 90s. In the US, it was narrated by George Carlin, but in the UK and in its originally airing, it was narrated by the famous Richard Starkey, or better known as Ringo Starr, the drummer of the Beatles.
Overall, the series is just a remembrance of a better era and time, a time where I felt safe and re-watching these episodes just made me good inside. So, as a kind gesture, I will share my top three favorite episodes from the original season. :3
