Um yeah.. so.. don't laugh. Don't even smile. This is serious.
Tonight I thought "Let me do some cleaning! Sweet! Awesome! Being an Adult and having my own place means I shall be really tidy!"
I cleaned the entire flat when I moved in.. but it's always good to do one really good thorough cleaning a month, right?
So I was cleaning the kitchen.. and I got to the bathroom.. and well this place is rented so I decided "Hmm this toilet seat cover is slightly off-white, let me put some polish on here to wipe off any dirt I may have missed and make it clean."
So I sprayed it.. at home I would use Vim but there's no Vim in the UK (actually I think it's called Cif) but I had some other stuff that should've worked the same.. >_> but no.
I started scrubbing it with a sponge.. and then stuff just started coming off.. and at first I was like "wow there was really so much dirt" but then I realized it wasn't dirt.. it was like a top layer of plastic coating covering the seat.
>_> The polish/bleach or whatever reacted weird with the plastic and it scraped off where I didn't even notice it could and just.. well.. that was the result. In my mind I was like "HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!"
It just.. I.. man.. I know you guys are probably suppressing a chuckle or an eyeroll.. but seriously how was I supposed to know? My one at home is like porcelain or whatever! It doesn't do this! I feel like a dumb klutz : |.. Haha.. but what a story to tell!
It's like.. one of these adult things that you never know about until you actually mess it up like I just did. I am kinda laughing at myself because it's a bit ridiculous. I am wondering if I should make a tag called "DIY" on these blog entries because stuff just keeps happening to me like this.
Oh well, I'll buy another cover this weekend and figure out how to assemble it. It shouldn't be too hard. Worst case I'll leave it for a little while and ask a friend sometime to help me if the screws are too tight or whatever.
Kuramon.. digivolve to.. HANDIWOMON!!
Anyways.. I hope you enjoyed my cool-story-bro. ;3
