  • I guess I just noticed how EXTREMELY difficult it is to have intelligent conversation on this forum. I know it's supposed to be a forum for kids, teens, and other age-groups to enjoy, but I never thought to get replies full of complete ignorance, and responses that I expect from children at a grade 2 level.
I don't intend for this to sound demeaning in any way, but it's really surprising. Obviously people here don't deem themselves as being incomprehensible, but when I can't seem to converse with others on a basic level of understanding, I actually get quite frightened. Simple things like explaining something that's NOT put bluntly or in a step-by-step form for babies gets completely tossed under the boat.
It just seems like this place is for the sole purpose of providing whiny teenagers a place to spew nonsense to each other in an attempt to gain the popularity and attention that they lack in the real world.

I wont be surprised if someone reads this and also completely misinterprets everything I've just written here.
I just felt like sharing my thoughts.

Also, as a disclaimer, I wanted to inform readers that if someone feels personally attacked, this blog entry has NOTHING to do with my recent thread and is just something I've been noticing for a few years on Pokecommunity.

Also, I understand that not everything should be taken seriously, and I do joke around a lot. But not everything should be taken in jest, either.

  • Some people simply cannot post/debate without their emotions taking over them which results in illogical post. :p
It's mainly the younger audience who does this, because they're not mature enough to separate real life from the internet.
Such is life on a Pokemon forum.

  • I FEEL SAD.

In all honesty now, it might be just you. I don't see any problems with my own posts.

Still this post looks like you want to release anger and it's completely fine.

Well, it doesn't happen only here. It happens everywhere.

I actually do see where you are coming from. I sometimes doubt what I say sometimes will be met maturely, such as one point I made a while back that I had explained as best as I could was treated with an immature "lol noob" because I disagreed with them. That was on something that wasn't trivia, such as a "which is better".

since we've made known to each other already that we share mutual feelings on the matter, i spose its not necessary for me to reiterate. but your entry did made me think of how sad i get when threads that begin with exemplary grounds for intense, in-depth discussion are turned into simple polls because people skim over all the substance and construct really vague, shallow responses that don't address each point of discussion (sometimes not even the main point :/). it's just sad, and i sympathize the people who put in a lot of effort to develop grounds for intelligent and profound exchanges of views :C

  • ALL THE INTELLIGENT PEOPLE ARE DEAD, KURA.

Or your maturity level is officially much higher than the average maturity of the PC audience.

    One or the other.
