Well then...[May contain X and Y spoilers)

Apparently some stores in Canada and Italy are selling copies of Pokemon X and Y early breaking the street date for them unauthorized. A lot of people are leaking images and videos from the the games . It's not much it seems, but I'm not gonna post anything here cause I know some people want to avoid as much as possible. If you want to see the leaks, seek them yourself. There's already a thread in the X and Y section for the leaked images/videos and you can always check other forums too or fan made Facebook/twitter/tumblr pages. I'm like that myself right now. I have seen some of the leaks that were posted, but now I've personally decided to avoid as much of the leaked screenshots as possible. I think the info we got now is fine and I'm satisfied with the info we got. . But yeah, I'm not purposely looking for any more news on the games unless the offical Pokemon site posts it. I've removed all Pokemon related fan pages from appearing on my newfeed and will be avoiding most fan sites till the games are released. I'm not leaving this place cause it's easier to avoid the X and Y section where all of it is being held than avoiding the forum all together. The only thing I'd like to know is the final evolution for the starter. I'm so far stuck on picking Fennekin, but if the final starters for Chespin and Froakie end up being good that decision may change. SO yeah don't want to know of see anything on X and Y till the 12th.

Edit: Thought i add something. I'm a bit upset some stores broke the street date and released them early. 1 cause I'm not in Canada and 2 it sort of ruined the worldwide release thing cause now some stores thought it was cool to release them early. Well at least the hype will still be there.... Okay bye.

I'm almost 100% sure that this is a Nintendo play to increase the hype for the games. I mean A) no store is stupid enough to release the games early, they'd risk a law suit and a lot of other crap and B) the guys claiming to have the game claim they haven't come across any new info or Pokemon. That's highly unlikely tbh.

Obviously some stores are gonna be in trouble big time.

Still could easily be a play. This is a multi-billion dollar corporation we're talking about.

Plus it seems convenient that they were released in Canada, which is a theoretical country. There is no actual proof that Canada exists and so no one can confirm or deny this.

We just have to see then.

I really doubt they wanted the games to leak early, Nintendo. The games were hyped up as it is, this won't give more sales or less in the end. I can't say I follow that logic.

Doubt it's a ploy by Nintendo. I've seen this sort of thing happen before. Resident Evil 6 comes to mind, with some store in Poland jumping the gun.

Thing is, does releasing it early benefit the store at all?

Most units are sold by recommended price, so no I doubt it would, especially since there's definitely gonna be consequences for this :/

Could be a mistake by an employee, or they figure they can pay a fine and get sales by everyone going to their store rather than anyone else's. Still, 10 days is suspect.

Not as suspect as Nintendo doing it themselves though - that makes no sense imo.
