I just saw the newest opening of Pokemon DP and...

Realistically, I just don't understand the importance of Togekiss. She has (probably...hopefully) one more Contest before the Grand Festival. Why is she catching Togekiss, then? Who does it think it is? Glalie?

Yeah, especially seeing how Togekiss is often associated with people like Cynthia or Palmer (Granted, Palmer is probably the only game character to actually own one in the anime, seeing how Cynthia's most likely going to stick with her DP team, but still.), thus making Dawn, a rookie who hadn't even gotten through her first Grand Festival yet, completely unrealistic. As I said before, it's like having Ash catch a Dragonite in Season 1.

Putting two and two together, one can theorize that Dawn's sticking around for a bit so that she can use Togekiss a bit, as well as Cyndaquil and Mamoswine, who haven't had much Contest experience.

Well, of COURSE she'll stick around for a bit, seeing how it's going to take a while before the Grand Festival anyways.

Wow! I really like this opening. Even I say that whenever a new opening premiere. XD It was very nice. Everything was so fast and smooth. I almost felt like I was watching an intro to one of the Pokemon movies with Kyogre Groudon and Lugia firing their attacks. I like how Ash Dawn and Brock were singing to the song. Lots of spoilers too, but I came prepared so I don't mind.

The problem is that it's already been implied that Togekiss is mainly used by elite trainers (IE, trainers who are part of the Elite 4, or members of the Battle Frontier.), now maybe if Togekiss was actually placed in a random trainer's hands after getting the National Dex that is neither an Elite 4 member nor a trainer at the Battle Frontier/Battle Zone, it would be slightly more forgiving.

And, provoke people? excuse me?! people who say something like that are more likely than not to be trolls.

Also... maybe cynthia will give cynthia an egg.... this opening is the 3rd in the series.... so i guess theres gonna be at least 50 episodes till it ends... thats plenty of time to evolve a pokemon... just look at mamoswine... it spent 20 episodes as swinub and 2 episodes as piloswine... use your facts people!!!

Yes its true they did that with swinub in high touch but if they were doing the same thing in this opening then there would be a grotle and monferno in the opening... I guess its just the animators being lazy... in high touch they forgot to remove gliscore from the opening.... And even if she does catch it as a togekiss, whats the hecks wrong with that? Maybe she trades with misty (im not being serious... XD) or zoey... It doesnt change anything, shes a fine cordinator perfectly capable of using strong pokemon like mamoswine (took her a while... but stilll)! If you dont want her to have a togekiss because you dont like her... thats not your choice to make :\ I htink its great she not has 6 pokemon in her team at once, may kept leaving her pokemon at pentalburg city... they were the perfect pokemon for kanto!!! GO DAWN... FTW!!!!!!!!!!! Just because mistys had a togetic doesnt mean dawn cant have togekiss anyway... mistys gone... bye-bye... she left her togetic anyway! Well, if Ash had Gliscor, he would have TWO pokemon the same as Paul which would be strange, so maybe that's why it got booted. (;_;) So really adorable bat or HUGE turtle? I guess they like the turtle.

I, for one, did not want Chimchar to evolve. But when he did I'm now happy we got to Infernape. :D

And I was surprised by a Togekiss! If she got it as a baby it's such a quick time to evolve (well the party has two collective sooth bells) , and if she caught it as a Togekiss...I'm wondering just how she did it, it's fully evolved after all. But I'm by no means upset.
And yes Misty had a Togepi. It evolved and left to another dimension/kingdom. It's gone. Just like how all the other pokemon that are given away are gone excluding Charizard because it's just too kick ass for that.
A Togeblah appearance does NOT equal a Misty appearance, or a "cheated" one, because she doesn't own the whole goddamn species. She doesn't own, well, any.

Oh yes, and maybe I just missed his appearances because they were boring, but am I the only one who doesn't find Nando a...rival-ish person? Maybe it's because he's not a young boy.
Oh, and Conway is in the ranks of "the" rivals? That's pretty cool!

This is great. Absolutely a great find. That Ash/Paul battle hinted at near the end will be a must-see. If they dub this over into English in it's unedited glory, and these spoilers turn out to be true, the anime will gain a lot more respect from me. It's not just the whole issue of my personal feelings towards Dawn or a Misty appearance. My main reason, and my biggest reason, not to mention, for hating the decision is because of the fact that it's highly unrealistic. It really doesn't matter how good she is at Coordinating, she still has a very long way to go before she could ever come close to a BF Brain, nevermind an Elite 4 member or the Champ. I mean, Ash did a fairly good job at being a Pokemon trainer for a guy who was starting out in Season 1, yet did he end up, oh, I don't know, capturing a Dragonite or something? No, and Togekiss in that respect is similar to a Dragonite, so her capturing it is highly unrealistic. Misty being cheated out of an appearance, while I am definitely upset, is barely even the reason for my distaste at the decision.

I'm really interested in the upcoming league now, with the opening showing 4 of Ash's rivals. I hope Ash gets to face Barry, if Paul destroys Barry before the two get to meet I honestly would be very upset. :(
