4th Gen HGSS Australian Release Date - 25th March now confirmed!

    I've been fishing through google, and most sites just say "SPRING 2010" or "MARCH 2010" for the release date, which kinda puts us Australians in the dark.

    BUT BUT BUT! I did find one site that said March 25th was the release date for Australia. That's 1 day before the UK release and 11 days after the US release. Exciting stuff, huh?

    Although, this date is just hearsay and it could change when Nintendo decides to release the official Australian date. Apparently, this date was discovered by a video game retailer on his work computer.

    Today (22nd Jan), HG/SS was officially announced to be released on the 25th March for Australia. Link: https://www.nintendo.com.au/index.php?action=news&nid=71&pageID=6 So the above ended up being correct, as you can see. No 'official' news on a preorder bonus yes, but its quite possible and below someone mentioned that the figurines are a preorder bonus.

    I'm not Aussie myself but I have my fingers crossed for all you guys. Australians get shafted on games so much, you deserve this one at the same time as the rest o' the world at least. D:

    I did a quick Google for the Australian release date and all I could find were people asking the same question on Wiki/Yahoo! Answers. :x

    Hmm, I have heard this date before (only not from a website but from someone who said he asked someone in the store), but I have heard people claim other dates as well (like the 30th). Obviously not confirmed yet, but the thing helping this date is that it falls on a Thursday, which tends to be when games get released here.

    Not so - we're usually before Europe even if we tended to get them at least a month after America. Seeing Europe is suddenly within two weeks behind America's release this time around, it's likely we'd be around that time frame as well.

    I wouldn't get my hopes up until and official announcement. I've disappointed myself far too many times believing rumors.

    At EB Games I Preorded The HeartGold And They Told Me I Get A Ho-Oh Figure And If I get Both I Get Lugia & Arceus Too. And he Gave me The Date Of March 25th

    Not necessarily, we were first for Super Mario Bros. Wii. Before Japan I think too. Which is really weird.

    People, March 25th release date has been officially confirmed.

    There's also images released as well, including some new ones showing text. The mad-looking Scientists appear to be called...Scientists (probably at least - picture shows only the first few letters), Eusine has the same name (no surprises there) and says Suicune is waiting for you when you are viewing it by Bill's house, and on the Pokegear Mahogany Town is described as 'A town with a suspicious air to it. It's a hiding place for ninjas.' - I suppose it's talking about the TR hideout there. (If memory serves this *may* have been mentioned by someone in the hideout back in GSC...). Follow link above to see them, you may have to register with the site first.

    Also cyndquil's dex entry is 'It is timid, and always curls itself up in a ball. If attacked, it flares up its back for protection." Hmm. Sticks to feet/inches and pounds for measurments, gee what a surprise. -_-

    Does anyone have any idea on the price range?
    Hopefully they(*cough* EB Games) don't rip us off just because of an extra PokeWalker....

    Wasnt expecting it till 2011, we usally get things ages after the US, Im sure Platinum was 2 months after

    Neh, I've always liked EB games. Mostly because I kinda know all the people working at the store I shop at. Usually, I just price match from JB and get the $5 game guarantee. c:

    But I really hope there's a special something with the preorder!
