If you're a anime junkie like me, you know sometimes animes that are dubbed in North America (Especially ones made for kids in daytime blocks) can get easily cancelled due to disagreements between the original and dubbiung parties or the dubbers wish to cease production.

And slowly after the stop of the anime, the video games and all the franchise wouldn't be sold in that area either.

So the show would be completely cut off.

So how would you feel if Pokemon was cancelled in North America? And yes, that would mean no more shows, video games, cards, etc.

Note: I know Pokemon Black and White will be coming since Reshiram, Zekrom and the three starters were already revealed on the official site, so the chances of that happening is unlikely

    But you never know...

I'd learn how to read basic Japanese then simply import the games. No one's taking my Pokemon away from me. How hard could it be if you already know how the Pokemon games work?

The franchise would really have to take an entirely new direction to be canceled, the anime is cute, simple, and childish right now, and it's pretty popular.

I would laugh. Europe doesn't get enough love for pokemon.

i don't see the problem here

Also seeing as The Pokémon Company International handles all this stuff there would have to be an incredible shift in market response for anyone to even consider such a scenario.

And this stuff doesn't look like it will stop printing money any time soon.

I would have the hardest tiem learning Japanese.

So if Pokemonwere cancelled here, I would not be happy at all. Pokemon to me is the one show that has caught the most attention from me, as far as love, and giddiness.

I remember the good old days of Kids WB when I would come home from school, run downatsira after throwing my backpack on the couch, and turning on channel 2, and just sit there for an hour or two or pokemon. Those were the good days.

And if only I had cable, I'd watch it more than on library DVDs and internet streaming.

If it were ever cancelled, I'd have to learn Japanese no matter how hard it would be. Then tell my friend (who's been to Japan god knows how many times) that I want to move there. See it's not just the show, I'm starting to get back into the TCG now, and the video games, I love the trainer games, but I frickin love the Myster Dungeon series.

Pokemon means a lot to me. I have never been in so much love with any franchise or series.

I'd start doing some serious rom hacking, and continue the Pokemon Dynasty from my living room and make a fortune.

If that doesn't work, good thing I know a bit of Japanese. xD

I would just order the European Version or Australian Version. (I think there's an Australian version.) I don't watch the anime anymore so that doesn't mean anything to me. :D

I'd get whatever version of the games that would be available. As for the anime... as long as there are fansub groups, I have no issues.

Everyone in america would GO INSANE. people would be running the streets demanding pokemon, and no one would be safe. O_O

But seriously, this would never happen. I doubt pokemon will ever die, until nintendo (or even some other company) thinks up a better game similar to pokemon. But even then, there would still be hundreds of thousands of pokemon fans that would be illegally
downloading pokemon ROM's. And most would be importing games from Japan. But people would still be going insane!

But all possibilities, thoughts, and opinions aside, I would just import a game from Japan. As simple as that.

Simple, buy imports from other predominately English speaking nations. And on the anime I would watch it on the internet like usual.

I would have a trollface while reading those news because I'm European.

But, if Pokemon was canceled here as well, I probably wouldn't really care. I don't watch the anime and there will always be people who will translate Japanese roms. So no problems for me.

As long as they don't confiscate the Pokemon games I already have, I'll find a way to get used to the situation. I don't get into other aspects of the franchise and I'm not particularly excited about B/W so that situation wouldn't bother me as much as it might others.

With that said, I don't believe such a situation would ever happen.

I'd feel very irritated if that happened, then eventually move on to other interests such as Yu-Gi-Oh or other games.
