Great Scott..... I'm falling into the indie scene.......... anyways, Modern Vampires of The City gets my pick.

RAM is a decent album but honestly lost replay value for me and the fact that you have exciting disco-like tracks alongside more 'deep' ones is kind of a turn off to the album. With Daft Punk though I'd prefer more like Get Lucky than with Within or the Game of Love. Daft Punk changes their sound up every album but I don't like their change this time around.

I actually disagree. Maybe it's because I've grown up on deep music, or whatever, but those songs are excellent in my opinion. In fact, I don't like songs like Get Lucky because they feel boring, flat, and repetitive. Or maybe I'm just screwed up in the head :P

Eh, I feel as if the Indie scene is becoming really bloated with terrible copycat bands. It's one big game of follow the leader. There are few diamonds in the ruff. Particularly stuff like Interpol, Empire! Empire!(I Was A Lonely Estate), Mogwai, and Self Defense Family.

I'm an album person, so I listen to albums from start to finish, rather than buying or saving my favorite songs off of a particular album. That means I have a lot of albums, which means my list of favorites is a lot longer than the typical list of favorite albums of the year. So here's mine, in no particular order:

Beach Fossils - Clash The Truth
Paramore - Paramore
Kid Cudi - Indicud
Summer Camp - Summer Camp
Hoodie Allen - Crew Cuts
Local Natives - Hummingbird
Twenty One Pilots - Vessels
Ellie Goulding - Halcyon Days
Icona Pop - This Is... Icona Pop
Fall Out Boy - Save Rock and Roll
Hunter Hayes - Hunter Hayes (Encore)
Sleigh Bells - Bitter Rivals
Chris Webby - Homegrown
Lady Gaga - ARTPOP
Mac Miller - Watching Movies With the Sound Off

2013 brought a lot of goodies

My favourite this year must be Beyoncè's self titled visual album, which was such a suprise and took me by storm.

also i loved these ones:

Kelly Rowland - Talk a good game (r'n'b)
Jhene Aiko - Sail Out
Drake - Nothing Was The Same
Loreen - HEAL

Controversial?

A Day To Remember's Common Courtesy and The Wonder Years' The Greatest Generation are my two favourites, I think.

For me it's a three way tie between ARTPOP, Britney Jean, and Bangerz. ARTPOP was everything that BTW should have been, Britney Jean was a solid Britney album that wasn't as overproduced as her previous two albums, and Bangerz was so ratchet and catchy that I cannot help liking it.

The only two 2013 albums I bought this year to my knowledge were these and yet I think they're both solid albums:

Sepultura_-_The_Mediator_Between_Head_and_Hands_Must_Be_the_Heart_artwork.jpg

The Mediator Between the Head and Hands Must Be The Heart - Sepultura

Soulfly_Savages.jpg

Savages - Soulfly

There's more metal releases this year, but I haven't really listened to them. Thankfully I have Spotify, so that'll probably not be a problem for much longer.

I posted a note on Facebook with mine a while ago. I won't paste the whole thing, but my top few were:
1. 6 Feet Beneath the Moon - King Krule
2. Yeezus - Kanye West
3. Derivative - Celebrity Sex Scandal

One Direction - Midnight Memories: Another great album from One Direction, since 2011, it's been great music all the way.
Justin Bieber - Believe Acoustic: Had a few nice songs, like Believe did, but, they don't beat My World and his albums until Under The Mistletoe... Not much of an R&B fan.

I wish the Carpenters were still big and Karen was still alive. :(
