Congrats I love shiny Ninetales.

Well I found a Shiny Growlithe & Gyarados in the friend safari. Growlithe was yesterday I was just looking for a Modest Flash Fire one with decent IVs, and the shiny fits all those criteria. The Gyarados was found while looking for one with Moxie, Sadly the shiny has intimidate and is a Naughty nature.The mega looks pretty cool though.

Currently looking for a Adamant/Jolly sneasel for breeding so who knows I might get lucky.

I need to join this!

I've been MMing for a shiny Eevee for months now, even though I've only hatched about 200+ eggs. But seriously, I'm starting to get impatient. I'm gonna keep at it though, whenever I get a shiny I just feel on top of the world. In X I've consecutive fished a Luvdisc, Clawitzer and Poliwhirl and found a RE Foongus. Not the best shinies but oh well. I've sadly found no shinies in Y (but I'm literally still at the beginning of the game after owning it for a month).

OMG. Lady luck struck again. This time, it was a SHINY NOIBAT after 514 REs in the Friend Safari!!!!

To me, Instacheck is cheating. Plain and simple some of you may feel different but I believe if you are using an outside resource to manipulate the game then it's cheating. All my opinion, not condemning those who use it just saying I won't.

Also last I heard this last patch encrypted game data and made instacheck useless.

Encountered a shiny Sneasel in the FS. I had been looking for a female Jolly natured with Pickpocket. Much to my surprise the shiny is all of these. :D Now to nickname it.....this might take awhile....

EV training my Shiny Slowking to be a "tank"(She has crazy IVs in Sp Atk/Def, so training her in those, and also mostly HP)-- Leftovers with Timid personality and Own Tempo.
Gyro Ball, Trick Room, Rest and Cosmic Power should suit her well. She's definitely one of my favorites.

Also, caught a shiny Mawile in FS-- wanted a girl, however, so I traded it for a Female shiny Arcanine-- named her Brulée. She has the Serious nature, which is pretty nice.
Still looking for that Mawile, though-- caught yet another Dedenne while searching, so I'm doing a Christmas Giveaway on my Instagram. @Enderjay!

Currently hatching for a shiny Pinsir but I'm kind of new on this IV breeding thing myself so at the moment, I'm just trying to get a shiny adamant one.
I got a shiny horsea this sunday from chain fishing while looking for a shiny skrelp to trade for a shiny clauncher :P . A nice guy on a twitch chat offered to help me evolve seadra and, thankfully, it all went silky smooth.

I got a Christmas Eve shiny last night - another shiny Zig! It came on the 5,033rd encounter since shiny Taillow, about 144 hours in. "lol" I've now gotten 3 shinies without turning off the game, haha. I caught it in a Premier Ball, too!

I've moved on to the exterior of Mt. Pyre now, as shiny Duskull can be found there (and there's no chance of a duplicate shiny), whereas I could always try this same thing again with Emerald if need be to go for Nincada again. Mt. Pyre's the site of my first successful hunt (Shuppet), so I know the luck is there waiting to be found! :)

So, proud to say I have now completed the yearly quest :)

Welcome to the club, KaTomic★12! Good luck on your Deino hunt - Hydreigon is a really cool Pokemon anyways, and a shiny is even better! I used a regular one for my GenV competitive team, and it's really awesome. :)

Anyway, booted up on Boxing Day and this was the first encounter of the Friend Safari for the day:

So I hunted around a bit more but no more shines.

Then I was EV training today and found this:

FS Shiny Fletchinder the other day. 2nd encounter in there. Useless nature and no Gale Wings but I love it's coloring.

No worries :)

It was just like any other horde encounter. There was a sparkle, but otherwise it didn't focus the camera on it or anything special. Had it been a side one I may have missed it but it was right in the middle :)

Today I lost my first X/Y shiny.
I was trying to teach somebody how to trade on HG while SRing for a Tyrunt with a good nature. I didn't notice until it was too late that it was blue. ]:
Now I am going to refuse to proceed through the game until I find another one. Hopefully it won't take excessively long.

Recently, I traded the shiny froakie I got from wonder trade for a 5 IV, HA shiny Eevee (quite a good deal for a random shiny) and finally got around to evolving it today. Now it's a beautiful shiny Espeon I plan on using in competitive battling.

Other recent shinies I got were a shellder from chain fishing (I never seem to get that damn skrelp) and a Gyarados from the GTS (for a frillish, wow).

That's the thing with horde shinies. Whenever I shiny hunt with the horde method I get too scared to accidentally kill the shiny because of missing the sparkles and not seeing the color. This bothered me so much that I gave up on trying to find a shiny Wingull and just traded my seviper for a shiny Pelipper.

Welcome to the SHC, Farred Sky! Good luck on your Eevee hunt - what do you plan on evolving it into?

I was hoping into a Sylveon as shiny Sylveon takes my breath away. Or Flareon, my top two Eeveelutions. I'm 400 eggs in and got myself an Eevee Safari and still no luck so far. I was hoping to get a Christmas shiny like everyone else. Oh well, congrats to those who did get shinies! :)

I was supposed to get an Eevee plushie for Christmas but I haven't got it yet. I plan on using it as my good luck charm. I did get a Sylveon and Flareon plushie though so hopefully they'll be able to bring me luck.

I'm missing the feeling of encountering a shiny as I haven't gotten one in a few weeks. I think I'll just cheat and use the fishing method. I kinda want a shiny Octillery anyway.
