I haven't seen the third mon yet :/
You did beat Elite Four right?

You are Ground: Wooper | Diggersby |Camerupt. If anyone else would like to find there's out feel free to let me know.

Try leaving and rejoining. If there is a 3rd pokeball on the screen when you enter there should be a 3rd one. This is what I did for yours.
Alright, and thanks for telling me :D

Hey Stl, your last mon is Floette.

Wherabouts in Lumoise do I go to start the Looker Missions?

The easiest way is to fly to the Pokemon Center in northern Lumiose. It's on the little side street just to the left (if looking away from the Pokemon Center). There's some guy and a taxi right in front of the street. First entrance on the right.

The 3rd Pokemon only appears when your friend is online while you're in their safari.

The third slot appears when your friend has beaten the elite four, not when they've been online at the same time as you. When they've been online at the same time as you, the pokemon in their friend safari start being able to have their hidden ability: http://www.serebii.net/xy/friendsafari.shtml

I have saved right after rejecting an egg at the day are man, the egg that I receive after this has the IVs I want for my pokemon, can I keep soft resetting until it become shiny? Will it always have the same IVs??

The egg IV spread is generated before the parents are even put into the daycare centre (if you're putting a Destiny Knot on one of them) so every time you soft reset (as long as it's right after the previous egg is rejected) the following egg will always be the same IV spread. (in this same fashion, if you get an IV spread that doesn't work for your current pokemon, but have a couple of parents it WOULD work for, you can soft reset, swap out the parents and THEIR offspring will be born with the IV spread of the previous baby that you reset for): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5CtLqTc8IaM

As to whether you can soft reset to get the same IV spread but different pokemon (different genders, different natures, therefore the possibility of being Shiny) I don't know that. Try it a few times and check their nature and gender. If they're always the same, then the same baby is always being generated (which I was under the impression is what's happening) but I've never checked for myself. It could in fact be different babies, all with the same IV spread, I honestly have no idea. Please post your result!

I'm afraid that it doesn't work that way. If you want the Pokémon to hatch with its hidden ability, the female has to have it as well. The only other way to get it is by using a Ditto with a male & its hidden ability, & even then, it's a very small chance that it'll hatch with that ability.

What do you mean "As well"? Like as in the father AND mother need to have the hidden ability? No, just 1 parent needs it, not both. (sorry if I misunderstood) the mother passes it on with 60% chance, and I think the father COULD do it as well, but only somewhere between 20% - 40% (I've heard varying numbers) but yes, if you put that male in with a Ditto, it will be a much higher chance than if you put it in with a female if it's own species.

I go into the building, the vacant commercial building, and it's just the guy in there saying "the tenant should be moving in soon," are there any other requirements for this other than beating the Elite 4/Champion?

Uh, you might have to go win a battle or two at the Battle Maison, beat Calem/Serena in Kiloude City, then talk to Sycamore in Anistar first. Try that, then see what happens.
I just hope I didn't point you to the wrong building.

The Looker Bureau is right across from the sushi restaurant, if that helps too.

I will try this, thank you!
And yes, the building I went to was opposite the sushi restaurant :)

    Can't see friends in PSS

I finished playing Pokemon Y and am now playing through X to complete my pokedex. I have been playing both of these games on my one 3ds. I have not finished the Elite 4 on my X game, I'm only 4 badges in, however I can't see me friends listed on PSS. I have a couple of dozen friends registered/ code exchanged in my 3ds Friends List. I have tried connecting to the internet on PSS, saving/restarting. How can I get my friends to show up in PSS in my X game? Thank you in advance.

Anyone else get connection errors when trading?

This happens to me all the time when trading with someone (via the option to send random requests to Passersby, etc.) and we get disconnected. AFAIK, there is no problem with my connection because I don't have issues elsewhere. What is the problem?

Also, even when a trade is complete and we disconnect normally, I am not always offered the option to add them to my Friends list. What makes this appear?

    Thanks.

it certainly does learn it naturally, at level 33

It's apparently been able to learn it at level 33 this generation, Generation 5 and Generation 4 as well: http://www.serebii.net/pokedex-xy/193.shtml

In addition to that, if Yanma is above level thirty-three and doesn't have Ancient Power, then you could always visit the Move Relearner and have it taught. She should be in one of the houses near Pokémon Center at Dendemille Town. Once you're done, just level it up and it'll evolve. :]

if you're always getting disconnected it could be that you havn't updated. Ever since V 1.2 went live, no one without that update is able to trade or connect to the internet because that patch encodes the data. This will include every time you try to initiate with passersby. You should be getting a grey message box on your bottom screen telling you of this. If you mean you start the connection and then nothing happens (you selct an option, but then it's just going back to your normal screen without anything actually happening) then that happens to me a lot too.

In order for the option to add people to your friends list you need to interact with people at least twice. And not trading with them twice in teh same session, you need to battle or trade or whatever at least once, disconnect from them, then do it at least a second time

  • Super Training / EVs...

I played a bit of super training with my Froakie right back at the start, but I've not done any with other Pokémon, or my froakie since.

Now my main team (Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, Greninja) all have full training bars and I'm wondering what the crack is? Have I missed out? Is super training just to make Pokémon stronger at low.levels?

someone explain please!

When breeding, I know the Destiny Knot guarantees passing on of 5 IVs, but is it possible for the 6th IV to be passed down too just via the normal process of breeding? I ask because I was breeding two smeargle, one with Hp, At, Def and Sp A all at 31 and the second Smeargle with Sp Def and Speed at 31 and after about 20 smeargles I got a Smeargle with all 6 IVs! So would that 6th IV have been randomly passed down from one of the parents (not related to the Destiny Knot, just that sometimes the game COULD pass more than just what the destiny knot guarantees) or was the 6th IV ALWAYS random and I just got super lucky? I know since no one on these boards works for Gamefreak that no one KNOWS what happened, I'm just wondering if anyone heard anything.

Basically, just to further clarifiy what I'm asking, when you don't use anything, the parents are guaranteed to pass down 3 IVs from each (I've heard) so does that mean they can ONLY pass down 3 IVs or that 3 IVs are GUARANTEED to be passed down but that it's possible to pass down more than just the 3? And using that same logic, I was asking if the Destiny Knot was guaranteed to pass down 5, but a 6th IV COULD be passed down just as in the nature of breeding, or if the Destiny Knot ONLY allows 5 IVs to be passed down and the 6th is ALWAYS random?

My understanding is that the 3 or 5 guaranteed IVs are drawn from the total pool of 12 parental IVs, not just from a single Pokemon.

No, I'm updated to 1.2, because I don't think you can connect to the internet at all without that.

No, no, I get that, I listed 4 IVs were from 1 parent and 2 were from the second,

    Kind of overwhelemed by breeding...

So i was reading about breeding and how I can do it to have a good competitive team...

So i need a female with a good nature first, her IV's dont matter.

Then a ditto with good IV's. And just breed them?

But can I combine the multiple dittos that i have's IV's to make a perfect pokemon, somehow?

Are abilities really that important when breeding? And if the mother doesnt have the nature that i need, and i dont give her the nature passing down item, will the eggs have all different natures themselves, with their fathers (Ditto's) IVs?

    So confused! :(
