Hello there in this forum as you have read by the title is where you may post comments on what is you favorite Pokemon game of all time it can be in the main series,a spinoff game or game series,or a hack.or you could say you like the whole franchise as a whole or you can say you like one part of the franchise and you may also tell everyone why you like it but you don't have to if you don't want to :3

Me i like the entire Pokemon mystery dungeon games series (with the exception of gates to infinity because i have not played it yet because i don't have a 3ds yet) i love that game because it was the only game in the Pokemon series with a really good storyline the endings to all of them(excluding gates to infinity because i never played it) made me tear up yes it had that much of a impact so now you know what i like now what do you like?

My all-time favorite game would be Emerald; it was very addicting for me, and also the only one I ever tired completing my PokéDex in. :] I'm generally a huge fan of Hoenn, due to all its locations and whatnot; each and every one of them have something that sets them apart from each other. Aside from that, I'm a pretty huge fan of Platinum, too, as well as X/Y.

Even today, mine is still Black 2 and White 2. With a great variety of Pokémon to use, plenty of neat post-game material (like the Black Tower/White Treehollow), and some amazing visual presentations, it's safe to say this is a game I will never, ever dislike. And the big Kyurem event in the Giant Chasm I found to be extremely epic (Ghetsis tries to kill you, which is a first for the series, then that cutscene with Kyurem is so boss). The Medal Rally certainly helps, because it can be motivating to do things you probably wouldn't bother to otherwise.

There's just so much to like about this game, which is why it disappoints me when people claim this one brings nothing new to the series and is more of the same old same old than ever, when I feel it's the opposite (at least pre-XY).

But for that matter, XY are still close, and BW and Platinum are up there as well.

I think it might be Emerald. That was the only game that I really trained Pokemon up to level 100 and really worked hard to try and complete the Pokedex.

However, XD and Colloseum were also up there. I played them a lot as a kid and they felt like cooler games. I also loved Espeon and Umbreon.

Pokemon Platinum version. Allow me to quote myself from ages ago x)

Pokemon Platinum. Love the story, love Looker, love Giratina, and love the Distortion World. It was something I haven't seen before, which is why I like it so much.

Giratina. It's an amazing Pokemon, and its Origin Forme's still among my favourite formes, behind Deoxys-Speed and Rotom-Wash. The Distortion World is a mysterious and new area to explore, and something that hasn't been pulled off before in a Pokemon game. A place where the laws of space/time don't apply. It was lovely.

    Oh, and Dawn's Platinum version design. It's so adorable. ;3;

Pokemon Black and White, it has the best and deepest storyline and music, While others have the same boring pattern ( defeat GLs, defeat evil team, defeat Pokemon league)

A tie between B/W2 and Emerald for me.

Emerald was the first pokemon game where I really knew what I was doing. I had had Fire Red beforehand, but I didn't really play that "properly". I only really trained my Venasaur, and it took me 360ish hours to beat the game.

B/W 2 Just has a great feel for me. The plots good, the characters are good, the pokemon are good, the locations are nice... It's just a good package. Plus, it's probably the closest I've ever come to completing the pokedex (Around 400 caught).

My favorite would have to be Yellow. I adore Pikachu's personality and the ability to check its emotions. I always thought that the sprites in Yellow were much better than Blue and Red and sometimes even better than Crystal! I'm considering going back to either Yellow or Crystal soon.

I loved Platinum! It's my first pokemon game and always has a special place in my heat ;) The story and such was not the best out of all games but it was always a great made game to me and the pokemon of the 4th generation were my favorite!

My all-time favorite Pokemon game is without a doubt, Platinum Version, and here's why.

First off, it came out during one of the funnest times in my life. I was in my Sophomore year of HS which was tons of fun, and I'd just started getting into Lady Gaga when The Fame was new. Heck, that's why I chose LoveGame as my name in the Pokemon community!

It was also a fun, immersive experience overall. Sinnoh had an awesome atmosphere to it, and characters like Barry and Looker were really enjoyable to me. I still stand by that it had the best story of any main-series game.

To me, it fixed all the minor problems I had with D/P such as the bad spritework and the slow surfing.

Lastly, it's what got me into competitive play, EV training, and all that. I had some of my best victories during Platinum's heyday, and to me, it represented an awesome era of Pokemon!

Man... I don't know if I can pick a single favorite...

Emerald? It was my favorite for a long time, and is still among the best, but I find I can't replay it any more. RSE were the games (and Absol was the specific pokemon) that really made me wish for the physical/special split, and I can't go back now. But I still feel the urge pretty regularly, and at least spend some time there from time to time, just because it's such a beautiful region and such a great dex.

Platinum? I love Sinnoh - I think it's the most interesting region they've done yet, with a great variety of locations and stunning music to go along with them. And since those games introduced the physical/special split I wanted so much, they'll always have a special place in my heart. And Dawn is simply adorable. The dex leaves a bit to be desired though - some really good things, but too many just so-so ones.

BW? Great mechanics, great graphics, cohesive story, great dex. GREAT dex - I was so thrilled to see a game with an entirely new dex, with not one single tired old pokemon I'd seen a billion times before showing up in the game. And the new pokemon were not only new, but an awful lot of them are quite good, so there are a lot of team options. And reusable TMs is, IMO, the single best improvement they've ever made to the games. That made it so much easier to juggle lots of pokemon and be certain that all of them could have good movesets. I can only think of a few problems - I hated the way they forced the Dragon onto me at the end of the game. I went in there with a team of six pokemon because I wanted those six pokemon, and next thing I know this dragon is trying to force its way into my party. Yeah - I get it - legendary, stone, destiny, battle of truth and ideals, yadda yadda yadda... I still didn't want it on my team. And honestly - while N's castle is sort of cool in and of itself, the whole bit with it rising up out of the ground was just... silly. I expected to see Bowzer appear on a balcony. Those are pretty minor gripes though, and BW are the probably the games I've sunk the most time into.

BW2? - LOTS of stuff to do - Join Avenue, White Treehollow/Black Tower, Subway, PWT, studio, musicals (well, the last two are sort of cheese, but still). The expanded dex is... okay. As I said, I really liked the fact that BW had an all-new dex, so it was sort of disappointing to see all those old Zubats and Rattatas and Geodudes and such show up again. Then again though, Crobat is probably my single favorite pokemon of all time, and with a natural Acrobatics or a bred Brave Bird, it's even better than it ever was. Add in Roost from the move tutor. And the move tutors just generally - that was a great addition - I've spent an awful lot of shards on Ice Punch, Signal Beam, Hyper Voice, Dragon Pulse, Dark Pulse, Roost, Outrage... lots of stuff. And I love Join Avenue - not just running it, but being able to take advantage of it. And there are so many memorable moments - "Look for a big green hat," Elesa's gym, going through Reversal Mountain with Bianca and her awesome Musharna, fighting that Veteran with the Salamence out on Route 17, fighting all the gym leaders at the PWT...

Yeah... I guess, looking back, if I had to pick one favorite, it'd be BW2 - White 2 specifically, I think, for Braviary, old Opelucid and White Treehollow.

It's a straight up tie between Emerald and Colosseum. I really love how Emerald expanded on the R/S plot and included both teams. What I love about Colosseum is how dark and mature it was for a Pokemon game. Plus, awesome characters (Miror B. wut wut!).

It's a tie between Emerald and SoulSilver. Both games are just really enjoyable to me, and have great replay value. Those two games introduced great new features, and I absolutely enjoyed the Walking Pokemon and the Pokeathlon in SS and the Battle Frontier in Emerald. I preferred SS more than HG, because I'm a Lugia fan more thna I am a fan of Ho-oh :)

Probably a tie between SoulSilver and X for me - X had a lot of interesting new features, and SoulSilver was a really good remake of a childhood favorite. Also, I really loved the walking Pokemon. :P

    FireRed/LeafGreen > Gold/Silver > Red/Blue

If the 'following Pokémon' feature were optional in HeartGold/SoulSilver, I could consider it a favorite. Since it's obligatory, I disregard the game completely.

    Okay, here we go.

For spin-offs, Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time/Darkness/Sky. This game is honestly a game I will go back to again and again, if only for the story. The gameplay is fun, though it can get repetitive at times.

As for the main series, I don't have a singular favourite, but rather favourites in given aspects. For example, my favourite game mechanics are X/Y's. The 3D models are gorgeous (well, most of the, anyway). The PSS is one of my favourite new features of a Pokemon game ever. It has a few really annoying aspects to it (no way to write longer text messages... grrr, Game Freak), but as a whole it is very useful and convenient. Also, breeding for good IVs and EV training have gotten better with the addition of the Destiny Knot and Super Training.

However, in terms of the worlds within the games, I have to say Platinum (i.e. Sinnoh). I like the way Coronet splits the region into two, and as Nonon said, the Distortion World was amazing. Sinnoh had some of the greatest legendaries, in my opinion.

In terms of story, well, I'm not sure which game takes that prize. I guess B/W, though it's been a while so I can't quite recall. My favourite music goes to X/Y, again. Finally, FireRed will always have a special place in my heart for nostalgia's sake (my first game).

Me too I love the PMD series it is fun as heck
