6th Gen XY Cameos in ORAS?

Since the subject came up, I'd like to see Pryce in the Pokemon Contests. He is one of the background people speculated to be in the audience of contests in Generation three.
Pokemon Contests are generally seen as being 'girly' and are primarily represented by female characters. All of the suggestions I have seen thus far are female trainers.

Pryce would be a fun way to reference what could have been a coincidence in the original games and break some stereotypes. Why does an old man have to be relegated to the audience? His wisdom and diligence could make him a frighteningly fierce opponent.

Anyways, back to Kalos cameos. Depending on the timeline, there could be a reference to Clemont with Lanette. Like an email from him. He'd probably be pretty young but we know him to be a genius from the invention he made for Shauna.

Viola and Alexa are good candidates. They could be on vacation and Viola could be taking pictures. Or maybe Alexa could be overseas for a news story?

Valerie could be given any number of excuses for being present. She could be trying to get inspiration for a clothing line based of off Beautifly. Or for a twist, Dustox. She could be modeling (She'd probably be in Lilycove for that.) She could be entering Pokemon Contests since she has a particular value for all things beautiful.
If Valerie were to enter the contests I'd like to see the Kimono Girls appear as well. With subtle references to imply that she is one herself (Since she is from Jhoto and has a Sylveon.)

Grant would work nicely with the Triathletes. We know he does bicycling and rock-climbing. It's not unlikely he does other sports. (Plus he has water in his gym so that could support him swimming.) He could appear in-person or just as a reference in passing. It'd also be kind of funny if he and Steven interacted with Steven going crazy over the stones in Grant's hair xD.

I'm getting a big feeling Shauna will be a cameo in the games, most probably in the Contest circuit, also is Valerie. I'm thinking Siebold will be there in Lilycove Museum, viewing the paintings and stuff. And I'm pretty sure Diantha and Looker will be in post-game, not sure what would they do.

I'd like to see Siebold in the Lilycove city Art Museum, it makes sense.

I think it would be interesting to see Viola make a cameo in ORAS, possibly researching Hoenn-native bug pokemon in the tropical swamps surrounding Fortree, or maybe closer to the player's home in Petalburg Forest. It's always refreshing to see old trainers from previous regions making an appearance, like Jasmine towards the end of DPPt.

I'm really mean and wouldn't like to see like...anyone from XY in ORAS. Sorry. ;( None of the characters really captivated me except for Malva and I don't see much reason for her to go to Hoenn. Shauna is likely, but ughhhh she's annoying. I didn't like any of the rivals in XY, so I'd be more than fine if they didn't taint Hoenn with their presence.

I'm gonna go soak myself in lava now.

I can definitely see Diantha making an appearance, perhaps as an opponent coordinator. She is a movie star, so it would make sense for her to travel to other regions for filming, and I can definitely see her taking part in contests while she's there. I can also see Siebold participating in contests, and maybe Malva, though she might be there for broadcasting purposes. Heck, maybe even Lysandre could be there to take part in contests since there is a beauty section, though I doubt it XD Viola, Grant, and Korrina could show up as well. Viola would be there to take photos, and Grant and Korrina because Hoenn seems like the sort of place for sportsy events. If Mega Evolution does appear in Hoenn, Korrina could also perhaps be there to teach the protags. about it or have some involvement with it.

That being said, if no one from XY shows up it won't be a big deal.

DO you think AZ will return? He did say he traveled the world looking for Eternal FLoette. Maybe he thought Hoenn was a good place for refuge while looking for Floette. Do you think he'll be there?

I doubt it, he was never connected to the original games and I just don't see him fitting in anywhere in the storyline. I'd find it more likely for N to make a cameo appearance.

I don't see why he WOULD be there. Everything that happened in Gen 2, 4, 5, and 6 are all events that take place AFTER Gen 1 and 3. For AZ to be in a remake of the Gen 3 timeline would mean that he's still searching for the Floette, and the thought of N making a cameo makes even less sense, since at this point he would still be training to be King of Team Plasma.

So, no, I don't see AZ (or N) making a cameo in these games at all.

I would say it doesn't 'not' make sense for AZ to be in the game. He wanders around aimlessly searching for his 'friend.' It's entirely possible that he would end up in Hoenn while searching.

But I would agree that he wouldn't have an impact on the story. If he appeared it would be a cameo. I can't possibly imagine it being anything more.

I agree that N doesn't really fit.

It kinda looks hard to say where ORAS will fit in the timeline. It would seriously throw the timeline the games established out of whack. I dont know, I guess AZ will have a cameo tho, why not since AZ is like Alpha and Omega, both the first and last letters of their respective alphabet, symbolizing the beginning and the end.

Diantha will probably appear as a post-game fight. Az might show up in a non-battling cameo - if anything, maybe he'll show up somewhere in Northern Hoenn (maybe Rustboro) while Kyogre and Groudon are rampaging, easily missed. Other than that, probably not.

I don't know why people worry about the timeline. They can retcon anything as they please.

GSC's Jasmine explains that the Steel-type was only recently discovered, however FRLG included it, and HGSS simply retcons her into talking about how tough the type is.

Meanwhile, Dexio and Sina also mention how the Fairy-type was "recently classified", and yet nobody is expecting ORAS to not have the Fairy-type, even though it's supposed to take place beforehand.

GF has never cared about the timeline. Another example is Gen III - how does it make any sense for RSEFRLG to be able to trade directly with both Colosseum and XD, when they take place five years apart?

I'll come join you ;( I would rather everyone from XY stay out of Hoenn. The only one I'd give a pass to is Professor Sycamore, since he's a professor and all it seems he might actually have a reason for being there, but I'd rather he wouldn't.

Also, lol at the timeline. The Pokemon timeline honestly doesn't even matter than much in the grand scheme of things. I mean, the Zelda timeline was actually somewhat important and Nintendo didn't actually have a clue about what it was until they created their version of it a couple years ago or something.

I totally forgot about Looker! I would be fine if he appeared postgame like XY, since he is pretty amusing and I heard that his postgame is pretty fun. But on the other hand, I hope Alder stays away, as I reallllyyy disliked him, especially in BW2.

I don't think AZ is much of a recurring character type. He barely appeared in XY...however, I can see him appearing in other regions and it won't feel strange if he did considering his story. Yet I don't think he'll appear.


I hope that Oak and Looker don't make an appearance.

Maybe coming out of Steven's house or something causing an impromptu introduction with the player, kinda like in Johto when Professor Oak was in Mr. Pokémon's house :)
