Very late, but welcome, Summery! My, you're a bigger movie fan than I am!~

Lately for myself, I haven't been able to catch a movie as of late. But I've been meaning to see The Maze Runner since it came out I think...last week? xD

You know what movie I've been looking forward to seeing soon? The Book of Life. Anyone saw the trailer for it? I'm soo glad they made one based on Dia De Los Muertos! (day of the dead).

I've been hearing about The Maze Runner here and there, but haven't gotten any chance to watch it, sadly. Will give it a go at some point, though, that's for sure! I hope it doesn't disappoint, haha. I don't believe I've seen any trailer of The Book of Life, sadly. What's it about? Is it a sequel or prequel to anything?

Yesterday, I was looking into DC Cinematic Universe timeline, and their list seemed to be pretty interesting. They seem to have got Batman versus Superman film lined up for 2016, which, to me, sounds very intriguing. Apparently, it will play as base for a future Justice League movie. What disappoints me, though, is that they seemingly don't have any plans to release any Batman movie beforehand, which they could have used to develop the character and make us become familiar.

I suppose there is Christopher Nolan Batman, but according to others, his version's standalone and is no way related to DC Universe itself. If it weren't for that, there wouldn't have been any problem at all. Well, at least in my eyes. Who knows, though? If he decides to collaborate and whatnot, perhaps things could take a different direction. I just hope that it's not too late.

Been hearing about Batman vs. Superman when I went to Comic Con a few months ago. I'm literally looking forward to that.

I'll go ahead and post the trailer to The Book of Life in the OP if you like.

The Book of Life is the journey of Manolo, a young man who is torn between fulfilling the expectations of his family and following his heart. Before choosing which path to follow, he embarks on an incredible adventure that spans three fantastical worlds where he must face his greatest fears. Rich with a fresh take on pop music favorites, The Book of Life encourages us to celebrate the past while looking forward to the future.

Actually, I've read a few articles regarding the movie yesterday, and it seems that they would be borrow some things from Nolan as far as Batman goes, which could possibly lead to a connection of sorts. Instead of young and energetic, they are apparently going to make their version of Batman old, crippled, and semi-retired, exactly where Christopher had left off in Dark Knight Rises. Since he logically doesn't have enough strength as he used to, we'd see Batman make more use of his armored suit, which makes it much easier for him to brawl and whatnot.

Very intrigued to see how Kal-El gets himself into a feud with Bruce. Aquaman, Wonder Woman, and Cyborg are all set to be there, whom will likely be playing peace-makers. I'm kind of concerned to see how they're going to fit all these heroes any without any back-story beforehand. If they had their own films or shows within DCU, it likely would have made sense, but it seems that they don't?

Also, Book of Life sounds very sweet, Megan! Will definitely look into it more.

I already started my Halloween marathon since October 1st :P (Both good movies and bad movies)

Been watching a lot of horror movies, now for the last few days, I'm going cult classic style with Friday the 13th, Nightmare on Elm Street and Halloween :)

I'm not too big on horror films (or any other similar genre), as I usually can't handle them, so it's not very likely that I'll be watching anything. Though, I wouldn't mind watching some comedic-horror with a group of people somewhere down the line; comedy makes all creepy things worth viewing, and doing so with friends or family would definitely help avoiding from feeling afraid and whatnot, which is a plus.

Guys, if we don't mind, let's start off a topic on Marvel movies. So, if all films we have watched thus far that range within Marvel Cinematic Universe, which would we call our most favorite? Marvel have their movie-release plan set for until around 2019; of them all they have planned so far, which would you say are you looking most forward to? Are you hoping MCU to continue its success?

For me, I would say my most favorite would likely have to be Captain America: Winter Soldier. Lots of things have occurred here, with first and foremost being Hydra-within-Shield revelation. This is a major event, and have had some big impact on their Agents of Shield TV show. Here, we've seen the origin of Brock Rumlow (a Strike agent) as well, who would be packaged as Crossbones--new fist of Hydra, after Winter Soldier becomes hero--in later films. Crossbones is said to be a major villain of Captain America, as well as Black Panther, if I'm not mistaken.

Right now, I'm very much looking forward to Captain America 3. Iron Man is supposed to be portrayed as main villain here, which should be quite intruiging. Well, not a villain, per se; just a person Rogers (perhaps Bucky, if he dies as shown in comics) goes up against to prove how strongly he supports his point regarding Superhuman Registration Act.

Favorite movie(s): Forrest Gump, Horrible Bosses, Mama, many many comedy movies.
How often do you watch movies?: I don't normally watch movies very often, being a big gamer normally. But since my new roommate has moved in and is a complete movie buff, I've been watching quite a few. We actually picked up about 10 movies from Wal-Mart last night and watched a few xD

Welcome to the club, Dyl; it's good to see you joining! I've watched a lot of those titles you've listed; they are pretty good, haha. So, which movies did you guys buy?

Also, is anyone looking forward to the new Star Wars movie, The Force Awakens? I hadn't known about it until a friend started speaking with me earlier, and I looked it up; if you ask me, it seems to be sounding quite interesting. I'm not as much of a Star Wars fan as some people, but I still do like the series, and have watched a couple of their films before; I'm really hoping that this one turns to be even better.

Captain America's also one of my most favorites, IC. Well, at least in terms of Marvel films! It's got so much things going, and the way they seemed to have developed their story was rather intriguing, if you ask me. One of Steve Roger's enemy, Red Skull, is set to return in their third movie. Even though he was declared to be dead in first one, reports are stating that they are going to portray his brain being safely stored in a secret Hydra base, which they well implement onto someone else's body to bring Skull back. I'm interested to see how they execute.

As for Star Wars, I'm wondering how long it might take them to release a trailer, if they haven't already done so? After all, 2015 isn't too far off; we only have about thirty more days to go. It should be nice to see how they go about it all and whatnot.

I think they released a teaser trailer way too soon. We'll get tired of waiting, hyping Star Wars 7 for a year :(

As for Marvel movies, my favorites are probably the first two X-men movies as well as all Iron Man movies.

And yeah, I'm still fawning over Interstellar, but I have many friends who hated the movie for different reasons, haha. I just couldn't help loving something visually stunning with music from one of my fav composers and directed by my fav director that dealt with both space and time twists. That muk is like crack for me 8)

I honestly don't remember all the movies that my friends bought. I do remember Gravity and Horrible Bosses though. Since those are the movies we decided to watch once we got home x]

I've never been a real big fan of Star Wars, so I'm quite indifferent on it.

I have definitely heard of Gravity, but sadly, I've never watched the film. How does it go, and is it good?

I've been planning to watch Interstellar for a while, but unfortunately, I haven't been able to get around to it as of yet. Though, I will pretty soon! I was close to seeing few weeks ago when I had taken my sister out to the movies, but unfortunately, see didn't seem to be interested in it; she was wanting to watch Big Hero 6. Hero 6 wasn't too bad, actually; I enjoyed watching, even though I didn't pay much attention.

Also, all Iron Man films they have gotten out so far were all great (at least in my eyes). I've watched each and every one of them at least twice, to be honest. I'm not sure if they'll make a fourth movie, but reports are saying that there is still some chance, and it would be interesting to see how they decide to put it all together.

I honestly lost interest in Gravity about 30 mins into the movie, so I really have no clue about it. My friend talked me into watching Django Unchained tonight, and I did enjoy it a good bit. I felt it was the same as most of Tarantino films in parts, with the absurd amount of blood and all when people were shot, but overall I liked the movie.

I ran into Gravity on HBO two days ago, actually, it wasn't so bad. It was rather depressing to see the woman stuck in that spaceship without much air to breathe. Thankfully, however, she was rescued before she was able to die, which was relieving. Unfortunately, I didn't see this movie from start to finish entirely (as I was distracted with other work), but from what I've seen, it was nice.

I've also watched Frozen with my sister on Christmas day, and it was entertaining. Nowadays, I don't find myself viewing animated films as much, but this one was rather good. I might have seen it once before, which was a nice experience, going through it for the second time was great just as much. It mightn't have been related to Christmas, per se, but it did have a winter-y theme going on, which, I believe, does count!

So, what about everyone else; have we found ourselves watching anything to get into Christmas mood and whatnot?

You just spoiled the movie >.<

Anyways, I've seen a lot of Disney movies over the holidays as they have decided to run them on TV for some reason. Jungle Book in English for the first time! Really strange voices, haha. Better in Swedish ;) And unfortunately I missed out on Tangled in Swedish. I only seen it in English before, but it's great in that language so maybe it would be weird watching it in Swedish now. I bet it would be the same with Frozen; the translation of Let It Go is really... odd.
