Received Chikorita from Professor Elm - Nicknamed it Moof
Obtained mystery egg from Mr Pokemon
Defeated my rival
Returned to New Bark Town and learned of the thief
Named My rival Orih
Caught a sentret, named it MLG (Cause furret is awesome :D!)
Fought my way to Violet
Saved the game.

Went through Sprout Tower for the EXP.
Defeated the trainers in the gym.
Defeated Falkner. :D
Received miracle seed and gave to Moof.
Fought my way to the pokemon center in the route below Violet.
Went through union cave, but while I was in it Moof evolved into Bayleef :D.
Made it to Azelea town.
Saved the game.

@vegemitetoast If you can't get it, then generally a reroll would decide the replacement, and I gotcha a Granbull.


This challenge is (somewhat obviously) going rough for me. Jigglypuff has such low stats... and I forgot to nickname it </3


UPDATE:
I picked Smoochum as a starter because why not
Ferociously attacked and re-attacked my rival and the first gym until victory at last
Traded in my lv 20 Smoochum for level a level 10 Jigglypuff and Vulpix
Smoochum got over it when I said it wasn't her, Jigglypuff was just cuter
I battled and beat all my enemies through to the third gym and realized I hadn't beaten the second gym yet
Went back and lost repeatedly not realizing Jigglypuff had no defensive capabilities
Evolved Vulpix into Ninetales who is named Kyuubi because I'm really uncreative
Beat Misty and rubbed a seasick stranger's back
Beat the third gym and am currently in Lavender town prepping for a ghastly adventure with ghosties

If you can't hack/trade in, say "no" for National Dex. That's what it stands for.
Re-rolls are: Scrafty, Excadrill, Stunfisk, Watchog. There is nothing wrong with Beartic being obtainable after 5th gym. All pokemon are fine as long as you can get them before the end of the challenge (at least one of them must be obtainable before 3rd badge)
