Shiny Female Bagon (Tiamat) - Caught after a SOS chain of around 130. The green color of the Shiny is very striking and I like the orange and green colour of the upcoming Salamence.

She has the Rock Head ability and a Quiet Nature. Whilst a - speed nature is not ideal but special attack boost is nice.

Whilst I was ev training in speed a Shiny Female Zubat (Harley) who has a Lonely Nature and will be evolved into a Crobat.

So, I'm thinking of trying shiny hunting again (only done it once before). Which of the following, in your opinion, do you guys think would be the easiest to get in Pokemon Moon or Pokemon Y (preferably Moon since that's the game I have a shiny charm in)?

Eevee Ralts Shinx Staryu Amaura Vulpix Roselia Nidoran (male)

I would appreciate any help!

You can SOS for Eevee and Staryu, or in Y you can Friend Safari for Eevee. You can only fish chain for Staryu in X. You can horde hunt for Nidoran in Y. Even without shiny charm I recently got a shiny nidoran male in 26 hordes. I've found 4 shiny males actually in hordes to date, trying to get the female.

If you want Alolan Vulpix I think you can sos for it in Sun, otherwise you have to breed for it in Moon.

You can dexnav for Ralts, original Vulpix and Roselia in oras, but you have to breedthem in Moon. You have to masuda for Shinx in both. Amaura can be fossil reset in Y but it would be full odds so masuda in Moon would be better.
Personally I think friend safari, horde hunting, fish chaining and Dexnaving are all easy with or without shiny charm.
I haven't sos'd before but it seems to be easy with or without shiny charm, the same odds anyways. Of course the mechanics of getting ready for a sos hunt don't make any sense to me, I think you need Smeargle or something and leftovers and an Exeggcutor from gen 6 with Harvest.

I'm not sure when I last posted so I'll start with Sept 1st.

I started out the month trying to get Dragonite, Tyranitar and Salamence. During the hunt in FS I got 2 Gabite's, a Dwebble and 3 Druddigon's, failed one of the Druddigon's my first fail. The encounter #'s below don't include the previous shiny encounter #'s in that safari.

I got shiny Pupitar on the 5th after 525 encounters. After 1 Dwebble at 1565.
Shiny Shelgon on the 7th at 80, after 3 Druddigon's, first 685, then 67 (failed) and finally 649. And 2 Gabite's at 26 then 688.
And finally shiny Dragonair at 414 on the 9th. Fortunately no more Gabite's or Druddigon in this safari.

I also horde hunted for Aron (719 hordes), Swablu (98 hordes), Mareep (1636 hordes), Nidoran male (1187 hordes). I dexnaved Torkoal and got it fast at 18.

While horde hunting for Aron I got a Zubat, while horde hunting for Makuhita I got 1 Zubat and 2 Geodude's. The first Geodude at 908 and the second at 441.

I also got a 4th male Nidoran at 26 hordes yesterday, I'm currently horde hunting and masuda methoding for shiny female Nidoran.

I caught a Shiny Slugma yesterday, I never saw its Shiny Colour before, it's pretty cool

Not caught any new Shinys since my last post but Tiamat the Shiny Salamence and Lucian the Shiny Lucario got the Super Battle Ribbon for winning 50 straight doubles battles. With help from the event Shiny Tapu Koko and a regular Garchomp.

Both Salamence and Lucario were caught in SOS battles in their unevolved forms. :)

While horde hunting for Nidoran Female I got a 5th shiny male at 512 and a second Stunky at 618.

Today I found a Makuhita in 816 hordes, after two Geodude's and 1 Zubat, about 2300 hordes total.

Wow I haven't been here for a while, Congrats everyone on their shiny hunts! I don't know what was the last shiny I had posted but I am just so hyped right now I have to share this amazing moment!

I bought Pokemon Sun and Moon on their release dates and have played through Moon. I had left Sun to soft reset and have been doing it whenever I can. I was initially going for a Rowlet but got one through breeding so I changed it to Litten. I lost track of the number of resets because the counter updated and removed my counter so I lost motivation. I started doing it again this week and I am here organising my folders on my computer whilst singing some songs on youtube when I decide to look over at my screen and realise there has been a shiny freaking Litten staring at me for like 10 minutes :P It pays to be patient and never give up folks! Can't wait to finally play through Pokemon Sun!

Maserati777 would you consider trading one of those extra Nidoran? :P They're so cute!

I finished my Shiny-only run in X, with a final Shiny team of Delphox, Venusaur, Mawile, Flygon, Lapras and Probopass. I started a new ORAS game for the same purpose, and got a Shiny Treecko.
I found a Shiny Trubbish yesterday in X too....I feel bad for it lol

Sorry, I should have made it more relevant. I was asking because I was thinking of trying to shiny hunt some or all of the Gen 2 legendaries. If it was true for first Gen then I'd assume they'd do for this one.

It's a sad to learn that Entei, Raikou, and Suicune's hidden abilities have been changed though. : / Still I might try this in new playthroughs.

iirc there's no way to get those with HA anyway right? Unless they indeed make every VC Pokémon with their HA. It would be an interesting Shiny Hunt :p

Whew! I've been putting-off the E4 (Gold VC) until I caught my first Shiny and was afraid that it might take a while after losing that Tangela the other day, but the first thing to appear after booting-up the game this evening was a Shiny Weepinbell! I definitely prefer Victreebel over Tangela.

Today I found a 6th shiny Nidoran male horde hunting looking for the female Nidoran. It was 821 hordes.

I added them up and discovered I found 8 shinies in 4,995 hordes. That's 24,975 individual Nidoran, Stunky and Starly.

I'm not sure what percent the female is, I know the Geodude is 7% in Makuhita hordes and it appears in 35% hordes, the female has better odds since its in the 65% horde yet I've found 2 shiny 7% Geodude and no female Nidorans. Ugh.

I'm also breeding for it as there is a 50% chance to get it that way. I've hatched 545 eggs so far.

Today I found 2 more shinies in hordes, both were quick. Unfortunately they were Stunky and Nidoran male....


The Stunky appeared at 116 and the Nidoran 96 later.

That's 10 shinies hunting for the female Nidoran. Really wish there was a horde of female Nidoran with one male available.
