The Best Ash

Who do you guys think is the better trainer or has the better team.

All at max potential and only using region teams no older pokemon for any of them. And we are not using SM Ash for this because we don't know his max potential or his full team.

I think XY had his best team but he was best as a trainer during Johto. He maximized his team's potential and he had great strategy in his gym battles.

DP ash is the best for me. I can't forgive XY Ash for releasing Greninja and Goodra. DP ash never pulled that off. Gliscor return to Ash later on so that was okay.

He had a good reason to keep Greninja and Goodra in Kalos and he never released them he still has their pokeballs.

I consider them released. Owning their pokeballs means nothing if they are stuck in a region that is not Kanto where they can be at oak's lab.

XY Ash will never be the best Ash. DP Ash is the best for me.

XY Ash is good as an Pokemon trainer, he would beat DP Ash in battle.

I still gotta watch and re-watch several episodes, and thus far I can type that
accordingly to a certain picture, the two Ashes with highest victory percentages
are the Johto journeys and Kalos arc Ashes, both having 80% battles won (excluding
Team Rocket). Ironically, the infamous Unova arc Ash comes second with 77%
and the Sinnoh arc Ash strikes the lowest spot with 47%, this however might be
because in the Sinnoh arc he faced Paul several times without beating him until
the "Lily of the valley conference", whereas the Unova arc Ash was often facing
not too remarkable opposers and winning "by the skin of his teeth" (or at least,
that's what I've read... did Ash have teeth anyway before X&Y?).
Ash's team for the "Lumiose conference" appears to be the most applauded team
on the competitive plan (or so I've read and heard by some).

Still, neither of it matters when you save the world countless times, ride Lugia,
ride Giratina, ride Reshiram, ride a latios, get turned into a pokémon before it
was cool, catch the attention of a latias etc.

OS Ash is not the best not even close. BW Ash is even better than OS Kanto Ash and OS Johto Ash is a bit better than BW Ash.

OS Kanto Ash is worst out of all for me as he only won little badges in batttle. He also had a bad performance in the league and he was poorly developed personality wise.

DP Ash and AG are the best in my opinion then XY Ash.

OS Kanto Ash had the best personality, but was the worst in battling. DP Ash is the best at battling cause he was smart enough to pull old Pokemon to fight in the league and tried new strategies.

Well I think the reason I don't like Ash using his old pokemon is because not only because they have the chance to get nerfed, but because his old pokemon has their time to shine and now its the newcomers turn.

This is well explained in DP when Dawn tells hIm to ask Oak for any of his Pokemon from other regions so he can beat Roark without problem but Ash says he wants to get stronger with his current team and overcome whatever it takes to reach his goal. This was in-character for Ash so we can assume Ash doesn't want to take the easy path. He prefers to start over and get better by struggling and overcoming hardships.

And thats why I don't get why people want Ash to use old pokemon. Him starting over allows him to grow more and using old pokemon takes away from that.

That is an opinion. Not fact. DP Ash is better for me and can beat XY Ash in my opinion. DP Ash defeated his rival at league. XY Ash lost to Alain.

Why do some people always go on and on about "This is just an opinion" when clearly in a forum, everyone open threads to discuss on each others' opinions and not facts anyway. This is "Which Ash do you THINK is the best".

For me in term of artworks I love XY Ash. The team is just not too balanced with 2 dragons and 3 flying types, though they're all some of my favourite Pokemon in Kalos. Team wise I think Hoenn team has the most diverse members.

Why do some always jump to conclusions about others who are trying to post their opinions?

I prefer DP Ash for several reasons. It is my opinion that he is the best.

From what I remember, I enjoyed DP Ash. But Kalos Ash seemed to be peak Ash.
