    That's almost correct, you just have to multiply before you add. So the result of 2 + 0 * 8 is 02. Hope that helps! :)
    I'm afraid I've never researched into 8BPP colouring. I recommend posting the tutorial thread and see if anyone else can help. Sorry for not being useful ):
    Iirc, the size of the tilemap is 30x20 or 32x20. I'd recommend just exporting the original .raw the game uses and checking what it does.

    I'd just recommend trying to insert the text routines and see if that has any effect, and adjust the script in accordance too. Sorry Im not of much help, havent really touched these routines in ages.
    Are the image offsets word-aligned? By this, I mean the offsets they are inserted at should end in a 0, 4, 8 or C. Also, make sure pointers to the ASM routines need to have +1, for thumb mode. So, if a routine is at 0x123458, the pointer would be 59 34 12 08.
