It was mid-July in Wisconsin, so it was nice.

Yeah, I can see the difference. I like them both, but Dookie was the point where my mates say they sold out since that's where they moved to a major record label. Something from Kerplunk would've told the story better, but...

Yeah, I can see that. But when they think punk, they're all hooked up in The Offspring and stuff, since they never really "matured" like Green Day - sure their lyrics are there, but my mates say their sound is still reminiscent of the old Offspring and they never really changed for the worse.

That's what I told em. But they're mostly old-school punk rockers, and though I like old-school stuff as well the old-school stuff believes they sold out. But yeah, they did mature, and tbh I can't find a band out there that sounds like Green Day =)
