I actually have a great theme that is not necessarily pokemon-based for next week. I will try to include at least one competition that is secular in a pokemon sense (lol) every month.

I will try to involve more non-pokemon spriting in the future contests, so keep an eye out.

You come up with the contest details (theme, requirements, restrictions, etc.), you judge whether entries meet those parameters, then you (and whoever you trust to be impartial judges with you) choose who wins when the contest ends. And I like to see what you're planning before hand so I can rubber stamp it.

Happens to me all the time, it's odd.

Well you do have a flair for it. But AG is pretty dead, I think real praise on PC comes when you do something for games or spriting, because traditional artists don't get as much recognition.

I always thought birthdays to be the most exciting events of the year too. I've heard that expression before, the whole "Why celebrate being a year closer to dying" thing, it's pessimistic and seems pretty...cold? It's not meant to be a negative thing.
I wish everyday we could all celebrate in happiness like giddy little children!

That's what happened to my last few galleries. ): It sucks too because I don't have a deviantArt anymore or really any type of portfolio, so the only exposure my stuff sees is here at the Art Gallery. There are so many great artists here, but you'd never know it because so few people visit that part of the site.

You better create a new gallery. I REALLY like your pieces, they remind me of why I used to love drawing dragons. And unlike me, you can do decent backgrounds. xD So if/when you DO start a new one, I'll be sure to hang around and bother you provide thoughtful feedback~
