Anyways, I just caught up on XY 1-7. I can't say I'm disappointed. And maybe the whole Serena thing is tickling the old shipper I used to be. Ash, though different, feels reminiscent of his Kanto ages, and I'm really impressed with the dynamics of the group. I'm confident I'll be sticking around at least a little again. (As a physics student, though, it'll probably take some time for me to get over the unrealistic touches to the show.)

Now, I want to compare what I just watched with later episodes of BW. Could you point out which ones you believe are the better ones?

I have full confidence they'll butcher it. It'll still be miles better than BW dub, but it'll also need some good writing to overcome the DP dub, which isn't awful and had some amusing shipper-on-deck antics around the time HGSS was released.
