  • Hi I was wondering I was looking at the claim thread and I saw that Skitty was already claimed so does that mean I cannot claim it :/ I ask because you mentioned that if there was no activity or something. Please reply :D.
    Ah. That makes sense.

I rather enjoy making food. It's serving customers I'm kind of "eh" about.
The colossal edge those things gave us that put us up to superpower status by the 1920s and the momentum that will probably carry us forward well into this current century (as we still have a net gain of between 25 and 30 million new residents every decade). We had about 25% of the world's GDP in 1940, iirc.

Oh, and our labor being cheaper than the labor in most other developed countries as our cost of living is lower while still being on par with the standards of most other developed countries.
Yeah, that makes it hard. I dread ever having to look for another job, because I just have a high school diploma. I was in college for a bit but didn't have the money to pay for it, so I dropped out.

Makes me glad I have a decent job myself... I work foodservice, though, which isn't too hard to find. You just have to be prepared to work minimum wage and crappy hours at first depending on where you go. :s
It was hit pretty hard, but so was much of the rest of the world (plus ours is on the rebound and is less susceptible to troubles in Europe than Europe's economy was to our troubles). And to give you an idea of exactly how powerful the US economy is:

This link shows how much each good and service produced in a country would be worth if it were valued at the rates it would go for in the US. Keep in mind that the European Union has about 190 million more people inside the borders of its member countries than the US does within its borders (US pop = 313 million). It's from the CIA World Factbook. We also have 1 billion fewer people than China and 900 million fewer people than India (those being the only countries with more people than the US).

Still gotta get one to support your addiction to Who DVDs.

It's a drastic price change from Minnesota without a noticeable quality of life improvement. Minnesota has the advantage of being a part of America and getting the benefits of the purchasing power we have as a collective by being the world's most powerful and influential economy.
The fall of a great warrior.

    Celery stalk.

:) I am very glad to please you.

How do you like your potatoes? o3o
Just make sure to have some form of income by then! Although with the job market I realize that's easier said than done...
Well then I guess you'll just have to get another job to support your addiction!

Well, right now, France, UK, Germany, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland. Y'know, the ones that are far better off than the rest of Europe.
Hmm. Well if you don't have bills to pay, idk why it'd be a bad thing to spend your money? :s
