lol yeah studying geology in Argentina is probably better than studying it in New Jersey for the sole fact that 99% of the geology in NJ is covered in vegetation or cities or is just a bit of rock poking out alongside a major highway or something. That and all the surficial stuff is just glacial features.
Actually I think that one of my professors did some research down in Argentina years ago.
As for the math thing, it depends on what branch of geology you get into. Stuff like structural geology and geophysics is pretty math heavy, but things like mineralogy/petrology or paleobiology/paleontology requires little math.
