This is correct, at least for the vB 3.x series. Not sure if they changed it for 4.x because it was something that people were requesting. And yeah, that's why changing the username borks servers. :X Because it has to go through and change every instance, instead of just the one.

I think the forum should be deleted. It's senseless, seeing as nothing suggested has really ever come into fruitation. >_> It needs to be discussed in the HQ before anything happens, and we might as well just post in CQ&F for that.

A unified look would be nice. Like, you know, updating old styles so that they're not full of old links to sites that don't exist anymore. >_> I think even adding a portal where a select few could post news or something would give PC a "website" homepage that could generate some...

Yeah, I guess it'd take a lot longer with a forum this size. It was about 20 min for my forum, which is roughly 100,000 posts.

There is, at least for the basic stuff. I transferred mine over from 3.8 to XF beta something, and it went fine. And I'd argue that XF is better than vB3.8. Sure, it doesn't have all the "toys" but in terms of a core system, it's extremely powerful, even in its infancy.

There's a simple answer: it's a beast. You can do just about everything with it, and their support is amazing. I hate the look of it, but I have to admit that IPB is hard to match.

Assuming phpBB runs the same, it's not that difficult, because they give the changes needed. Unless it's some drastic huge change, most of the time updating the themes is pretty simple.
