  • I bow to the queen of fangirls and join the crowd :D
( give me Gold, can you do that? :3 )
That's cool. We only spoke English on Fridays... Or when we watch a movie. I kinda miss that class and kind dont. You might be in the late beginners class. 3rd quarter of Japanese is 4-5th Grade speaking level typically. I wish my school had offered it. But so many people in our town were in or are decended from WWII vets that they strongly opposed any asian cultural stuff (outside of food) in school. It blew...
Hahaha. I had my rich friends feed me for month.

Yeah, well I know that computers with ethernets in college have extreme downloading issues (you cant with out losing you're connection for a week at my school -massive downloading begins). Typically the nice dorms might have Wi-fi but its for upperclassmen probably.

Our sister school is in Tokyo. I actually roomed with two japanese students last year. One was nice and we're still friends. The other was cocky jackass. I doubt they'll let you test out of foreign languages. It'd be awesome if you could. Its very hard and they only speak in Japanese (you get english at the end for your homework and questions basically).
    xD Yeah...

Well, for one, it's still hard and awkward to talk to her.
    Oh
    And she has a boyfriend.
He doesn't go to my school, but she has one...
    It's depressing.
I had a 10-meal a week plan at my university because it was cheapest. Went through it sooo fast. I didnt eat the last 2 weeks of college. Just water. -_- I had to upgrade this year.

Oh dont go with the ethernet internet connections. We have that in my dorm it takes 5 minutes to load a YouTube video. We've been petitioning for wireless but its fallen on deaf ears. College courses ae nothing like high school ones. If you take that in-depth Japanese program know this: you fall behind even once, you can never catch up. I learned that at my Japanese classes here at Central Washington University. I hear Purdue is a good school with a great Rep though. Thats probably why your dad is all excited.
You really cant until you go to college. It's like a mix of Adult Independence and childhood dependance. You make choices for yourself (that will affect the future) but you're also still got the needed support. My parents are very poor too, so I get the whole money issues thing. As for the Freshman 15. I actually lost 30 lbs when I went to school (and gained it back over the summer -_-' ). The poor kids like us go through our meal plans in the 1st 2/3 of the quarter the nstarve the rest. It's actually cheeper to buy your own food. Purdue, huh. Thats a nice school. I dont really know much about it...

Dont ask about the boy fight, tis the bad kind.
Yeah, tuition drops 20% in-state. I was the same way when I left (I actually broke down and cried), but once I got there I had such a blast I didnt want to come home. I've spent the entire summer just waiting to go back. Yay! I go to school on Sunday! :)

We would slap him around, but he has this protective best friend who ruins anything good around him. Oh well. Good thing I'm not talking to him.
It's rare. It was like a 1/100000000000 chance and i didnt get to meet him. Besides the universities on the West Side of the mountains in Washington are uber expensive because of all the career opportunities. The university I go to is on the east side of the mountains and 2 hours away but a hell of a lot cheaper.

We had a foreign exchange student from russia who did a similiar speech: "You rednecks teech me lot. I learn to drink and run from Police, chew tabacco, swim naykid in reevers and shoot things for no reason. I love you all." He applied for a green card the next day and never went home. Rednecks FTW.

You'll be soooo lucky if you get into Nintendo HQ. Its a closed building no one who doesnt work there goes in (not even their families).

Oh and about the "Man Meat" 's meglomania its bad. He thinks he's gods gift to women. Sorry. -_-'
OMG, you should move out here. Our sister city is Kobe Japan, Nintendo of America is in Redmond, We have 7 Anime Cons a year, and we have more visitors from Japan than anywhere else in the world. (The Anime Writers visited here during their trip to Vancouver for Destiny Deoxys and sometimes Game Freak delivers the new ROMs of games for american production personally). I even saw Shigeru Miyamoto from accross the street once at Pike Place Market on one of his business trips out here.

OH! And my hometown is farmland too. We have cow lots of cows.... and horses, but thats a differents story....
Its not much better out here. It's about 1 hour from my hometown to Seattle and 2 hours from my university to there. Mostly we just hang 'round each other chillin' until someone comes up with a random idea and we do it.
