I have the same problem, my suggestion is think of the topic you want to write about most, and then muse of said topic for a while.

I know that I hired you to beta read "this Time," but I am picking interests up in "This is Home," you know my failed attempt. Well anyway I am going to start a re-write, and since I already have you, I figured that I would check to see if you would mind beta reading something different. (but this time I'll actually have something for you to beat XD)

Idk, I write the scene and then you tell me what you think...

The parents acquired the Pokemon from a friend, who's Pokemon gave birth to a litter of said Pokemon. (in my world Pokemon give birth to live young)

In this world, only the rich get to go to trainer school. So poor trainer want-to-be's half to come up with there own items. Inducing Pokedex, starter, and well everything. Also, trainers are not a common thing in my world. Pokemon are more often keep as pets, or working Pokemon.

I could make up a holiday that is only celebrated in this world, or I was thinking of having the mother die at child birth, and for some odd reason the owner of the mother gives the helpless new born away. Thus explaining why the pokemon is so young, and why the said trainer got it.

Sure, and the gift will be from the parents. the only other idea I can think of is trainer's birthday (way too over rated), or make up a holiday, or have them give it for no apparent reason.

I'm still waiting on my laptop, but I have been spending the off time to hammer out the basic plot of my story. I've come a long way, all the way from a one-shot to a very long chaptered fic, to one now, that should be less than 30 chapters.

Anyway I am going to try to write the proluge on my dad's comptuer, but I have a question for you. I am planning on the main character, the Pokemon, to be given as a presient to it's first trainer as a gift. Seeing what time of year it is, do you think it would be too over rated for it to be a Christmas gift? Or should I pic another hollidy, and if so, which one.

I have bad luck, as you know my laptop died, so I stared typing my story and saving it to a jump drive, and then I lost that drive. I found it in the dryer while washing clothes. It got washed, dried, and it still works. :D

So production continues.

Uh, bad news.

My computer is dead yet again. *headesk*

I was smart enought to save everything to a jump drive instead of the hard drive. Anyway the thing has been sent back to Acer. I use office 07, which saves the file as a .docx file, and office 2000 will not open said file type, so I might upgrade my dad's computer's version of Office so that I may continue to type. Either way it will take 7-10 businesses days till I get my computer back.

P.S. Don't ever buy an Acer product, they are junk.

All right, I finally got my computer back up. I'll start typing here prettty soon, but I was unable to recover my work. T_T

I may send you a couple of paragraphs to see what you think of the opening. That is the part that I am having the most problems with.

um by the 6th because it is a long chapter:) i can make the deadline sooner if you want though:P

Anyway, I have to wait till Friday to order the recovery cd from Acer, so hopefully next week some time. *crossesfingers*

Also; I think I have settled on a name "Clovis," yes it will be the Pokemon's nickname, but not until almost the end.

Bout that, I am not liking the way the prologue is coming along, so I'm just moving on to the chapters. (I really should of typed up a couple before I posted my application, oh well.)
