6th Gen Pokemon, slowly losing creativity?

Excellent point. A lot of Pokemon designs have been based off of cultural familiarities within Japan, and that's something that Western audiences don't always understand and may pass off as "too weird for me". Whether you embrace those designs is up to you.

    6th Gen Starter Pokémon

I don't quite understand the hate towards Froakie. Poor water type...I remember Oshawott getting bashed when Gen V came out because it looked "overdesigned" (and ugly), and now I'm hearing that Froakie looks too plainly like...a frog (and ugly). Ironically, everyone went nuts for Oshawott AFTER...

6th Gen Pokemon, slowly losing creativity?

Other than what others have stated already, I'm guessing that some people are bemoaning the designs of newer-generation Pokemon because they're more complex in design, whereas the earlier generations (esp. gen 1) had designs that seem to be more relatable for the most part - relatable in nature...

    CONGRATS! US HEALTHCARE REFORM PASSES!

Well, well, wasn't this predictable. This was kind of the main reason why I was hinting at revisiting the issue later, because points have been made, and the subject's been exhausted of things to say, other than nit-gritty pedantical facts to keep the other person on his toes and say, "you...

    CONGRATS! US HEALTHCARE REFORM PASSES!

Thing is, Russia was far more communist than something like this bill ever could be. The comparison of the bill to actual socialism is an overstatement of people so ingrained into capitalism. This kind of far-right thinking is really just as bad as far-left thinking that so many people are...

    CONGRATS! US HEALTHCARE REFORM PASSES!

If everyone was morally sound, then there shouldn't be any issue in paying up then, should there? i.e. If you knew that it was the right thing to pay for universal health care, wouldn't this override any irks that may arise from thinking of the concept of apparent gov't force? The concept of...

    CONGRATS! US HEALTHCARE REFORM PASSES!

Agreed, perfection is unrealistic, but what's present (IMO the bill was better before the most recent modifications) is better than nothing. And people should just wait and see instead of losing their heads. That's mainly why I provided the link that contained chronological info of the bill -...

    CONGRATS! US HEALTHCARE REFORM PASSES!

For those of you who'd want to know how the bill acts out over the next decade, refer to this Reuters article: https://www.reuters.com/article/idUSN1914020220100319 Or I'll just quote the relevant stuff here for the chronologically challenged:

    CONGRATS! US HEALTHCARE REFORM PASSES!

bill summary: https://www.cbsnews.com/8301-503544_162-20000846-503544.html There really isn't one answer as to why a person is happy/disappointed. And it's hard to judge from this thread just from those who have posted here; some are clearly more vocal about it than others. But it appears that...

    CONGRATS! US HEALTHCARE REFORM PASSES!

I read the summary, and of course the bill isn't going to be perfect (really, did you think it could've?). As mentioned, the bill could be modified later anyhow if stuff doesn't work out the way it should. People won't like the individual mandate, and it's probably not an effective way to...

DO YOU TAKE CAPITAL LETTERS AS SHOUTING?

Depends on the context. In many cases, I see it being used for sillyness, fun, and more often, emphasis. But most often, I view caps as yelling, and I highly do not appreciate it. I see a lot of mods do it on this site, and it really only begrudges the person rather than solve any situation. I...

    Ebay experiences

I've been happy with most of my ebay experiences so far, but I'm getting concerned at the growing number of Americans who are denying international shipping, or worse, prohibiting international bidding altogether which would bar any possible negotiations after an auction's close. Once, I've...

    Paralympic Discrimination?

Oh, right. I forgot to mention in my earlier post that yes, the Vancouver Paralympics was the most successful Paralympics as of yet, so I think there could be a turning point in the number of coverage hours and viewership. Many views on the Olympics this year has changed for the better, so...

    Paralympic Discrimination?

I think it's going too far to say that the meager view coverage of the Paralympics is discriminatory to paraplegics alike; I think the reason's due to a combination of not being directly enough associated with the main Olympics, and the fact that it occurs well after the main Olympic events. It...
