It's funny that you mention that because I actually registered for MSN yesterday but I never activated my account cause my IP address got banned and I couldn't retrieve the message that was sent to my @pokecommunity email address.

I've always been under the impression that it was going to be a team effort to revive the CBC. And while it's true that no one person can fix it, when it comes down to it, I don't see any real way to attract new battlers. It's not like we can physically restrain/withhold water from people until they join, you know? I'm afraid that apathy plays a large role in the whole thing also. It's not that some of us "don't care" (while I'm sure some don't). But, in one way or another, we all have something better to do or are too busy to do anything. I mean, I could have rated a team.. but instead I posted a blog.

Maybe I'm just too new to the whole thing.. but I feel like the effort is, in large part, on both the receiving and giving end of things. It's so disheartening when I spend two hours rating a team and the response I get is literally, "kthxbai". -.-

I'm just not asking the right question. x.x See, this is what an unseasoned question asker sounds like. lol

But that's so sweet. Well, I'm glad. :] I've been super lucky to befriend someone like you. It's really just chance that we ended up being friends. xD I mean, what are the odds that we'd both end up at the same place at the same time, right?

But I'm sure you've seen a lot of people come and go in your time. It's sad.. the CBC is in such failing health. I have so much fun rating teams and helping people, but it just can't make up for a sheer lack of activity. I hope they can't like.. get rid of it or something. ;o;

I figured my story would be a lot like everyone else. That's awesome that you got the chance to join the PC early on and come back with a whole new set of skills though. How was PC and the metagame back then? I've heard a lot of war stories about 2007 and prior years. A lot of stuff about PC earning a bad reputation along the way. Was it really as awesome/brutal as everyone says? Or was it just a bunch of hype?

Well, I guess I'm just a quick learner? lol. Not really, it was you guys that allowed me to get so accustomed to this place. But to answer your question...

Pokemon was great and fun when I was 12. Everyone was into it, my parents supported it, my friends and I battled all the time. Now, I'm 20. My friends don't battle, my parents don't care. I was at a cross roads in my Pokecom career. It was either "put up" and find something bigger to do with Pokemon, or "shut up" and quit. So I figured I'd turn to the internet for some solutions to my problem. I found the PC, I found you guys, and I've been hooked ever since. <3

And yup, PC's my first. ;] Never been to another forum, never downloaded an instant messenger, and I've never had facebook or anything like that. I've never had a single internet friend either, so that's why I take all this stuff so seriously. Cause I love ya'll!
