I'm also in the process of getting my degree, so it's good to have some money coming in anyway.
I've been dancing since I was eleven, starting to do coaching was just a natural progression. Both my parents actually seem pretty pleased with how I'm doing right now, which is pretty good since my Dad takes very little interest in us (he lives on the other side of the country for example).
The good news really is, degree or no degree your future is yours to decide on. You'll be an adult by then. I think it is good to get some qualifications, but why should that prevent you from diving right into what you love doing?
I never saw a rule anywhere about having to like subjects you're good at.
I did extremely well in maths, got into the specialist any everything when I was in year ten (funny story about that I'll have to go into actually) but I never really enjoyed it so I dropped the specialist to the lowest university qualifying level... which was equally as boring but at least required less work.
On the opposite end of that, I was only ever passable in physical education but I really enjoyed it before I dropped it for more academic subjects going into year eleven haha.
I find the perception people seem to have of skill=enjoyment weird. I could be the worlds best cyclist but I'd still be board witless if I took it up as a hobby haha.
